I Love Germany and the people, towns and especially the Rhine River. I was in the US Army from 1958 to 1979. I was in Germany off and on for roughly 9 1/2 years and I definitely enjoyed my tours of duty. My Wife was with me and she really loved it there. I have served in Goeppingen, Stuttgart, Nellingen, near Esslingen. May God Bless the people and the country of Germany.
Glen Hamilton ..... I was In Mainz Finthen 79-85 and Mannheim Heidelberg 89-94!! Loved it a lot!!! Being in Army Aviation helicopters...enjoyed flying over most of Germany got lots of roof top pics to show for it!!!🇺🇸🇩🇪
I'm American, and I love Germany and it's amazing people. As a matter of fact, anytime I can buy something manufactured in Germany, I do so. I know of no one who "hates" Germany. I'm not saying there's not one person in the U.S. that hates Germany, but no more than any other country. Someone who dislikes another country for absolutely no reason is a moron anyways. Thanks for the vid!
Thanks very much for this video and for your introductory remarks. I live in the USA and am disappointed that you have had negative comments from Americans since a majority of Americans trace their origin to German lands. Also, it is super that you have an excellent German accent in pronouncing the names of towns and cities.
I love Germany. Es lebe das heilige Deutschland. For me, Germany is the best. surpassing even the US. The diligence, the discipline, the resilience, and the intelligence of the German people as demonstrated through their success in restoring German economy and establishing Germany as a a superpower are absolutely praiseworthy.
No Place in the World in my opinion that is more Beautiful then along the Rhine River in Germany...Near St.Goar....The Old Castles on top of each hill along the curves along the river is just Awesome...LOVE IT and try to visit there every time i visit Germany.
I remember my boyfriend being stationed in Germany 2005-2009 and we got 2 travel all over Germany and I do remember going 2 some of these locations and little towns and it was all so beautiful. I would love 2 go back again:):)
The beauty, orderliness, the cleaness, the harmony..etc.. spell the high human civilization achivement, development and form. Every turn and facts tell german is better human race with the greatest relationship with nature. Long live the Dutschland. Hope, standard and model for all human races.
Germany is really beautiful. Much love from The USA, and all civilized countries. This video was breathtakingly beautiful. There were nearly 95,000 views. 300 thumbs up.... Why are people so lazy. All it takes is a click on the like button.
so breath takingly gorgeous ....thank you for sharing your most beautiful country ..this has been like a fairy tale to view .... it took my lunch break to view it all and the pleasure has been mine .. have a sweet day :)
I am Polish, living in UK 9 years. As many Polish family my suffered during II WW as well. My wife's grandfather was imprisoned in Auschwitz. However I don't keep grudge to Germans. People in 30'& 40' were deceived that's why sick individuals came to power. It is warning to all of us not just to Germans. Germany is a great, ancient nation with hundreds years of positive and inspirational influence to Europe and maybe the whole world. Their culture was and is an amazing. Since middle age they created lot of unique engineering and scientific discoveries. As a fan of books I like the most Guttenberg. Martin Luther (it is not by accident the same name of the USA black activist) - alone monk stood bravely against the whole sick and false system in the name truth and God. German history is greater than 100 years (both wars) and longer than 250 years (when military orientated Prussia overtook Germany). I admire its culture, vitality and potential. We're going to visit Germany this summer. I have to teach my young children truth and tolerance.
Gittl G.@ A trip was great. Very sorry for you if you believe that bunch of liars you sent me a link of. Unfortunately Nazis were criminals. I know it not just from books but most at all from people who were part of WW II event. They, German Nazis even harmed your country as you are German because Germany lost its historical land owned since Middle Age (West Pomerania and East Prussia). Just 13 years raid of lunatic politician and such terrible consequences for Germany
beautiful castles, beautiful mountains, beautiful people. Burg Eltz is astonishing, particurlaly since it still standsin pristine state because of the Eltz family's gift of generousity and deplomacy. I never thought that I would see a castle as beautiful as Neuschwanstein.
I'm an American and I love Germany and I love the German people. I love the culture, the architecture, the food, the history, so many wonderful things! I would love to live in Germany.
Your comments are very well said. There are people like that all over the world. My grandfather was from Berlin and it is my dream trip to visit my heritage. Matter of fact it is more than a dream, it is a must for me. I am very proud of my German heritage and I am very proud of German itself. And you are right, German Americans have contributed immensely to the US. Can't wait to see it someday. Thanks for your video.
I lived in Germany for a long time and absolutely loved it. I rarely was in the large cities, preferring instead to live and work in a small town in the south. The people I met were kind, polite, and more than willing to advise visitors as to interesting local places to visit and explore. I never met any hateful German people in these small towns, they are proud of their towns and histories dating back centuries and happy to share with tourists.
Let's be frank here: all European countries are unique in their own way (and often related to each other) but Germany has a rather unique position in Europe (I can hear the French grumble): compare it to our solar system. Economically and politically (and to an extent culturally and scientifically) most of Europe revolves around Germany. Particularly in my own country, the Netherlands, it would be fair to say that if Germany coughs, we catch pneumonia.
This is just perfect. I hope to hike north from the upper Rhine with a friend this Summer. Thanks for giving me a glimpse of what to expect. Fantastic.
My great- great- grandparents left Germany in 1871. The affection for Germany has never left my family despite the intermixing of other ethnicities like Irish and Italian. My grandmother could speak German. Alas, that skill ended with her. I hope to learn it myself someday.
Nice video. I lived in Germany for a few years just outside Heidelberg. Amazing times, people. Sorry for the ignorance driving any rude comments anywhere. Not everybody gets out into the world, and not everyone reads. Plus, some people are just idiots.
My very best memories of this part of Deutscheland is travelling by train (direction Bonn) with the lights off in the carriage - and all the little towns on the other side of the river - have different colored lighting - extremely beautiful and romantic - late at night...
Way too many people associate Germany with Nazism, and while it's true that Nazism played a major part in the country's history, there's much, much more to the country than that. It's a fascinating land, although to be honest I don't have that much knowledge or interest in their post-1945 history. Just know a few basic things of that period (Cold War pressures, division of the land, Berlin Airlift, Berlin Wall, reunification).
Lovely video ~ Fell in love with the Rhine and the beauty of the Black Forest...♥ I had the most delicious wine while floating down the Rhine :) Wonderful narration! * Visions of Germany ~ Along the Rhine *
Looking at the Rhine River in all of its beauty and peacefulness today, is dis-congruent to the knowledge that one my cousins was killed at Bingen-on-the-Rhine on 29 November 1944. It shows how much life and death are sometimes connected. My cousin was acting as a co-pilot on a US B-17 that had the mission of bombing the Marshalling Yards at Bingen where River Boats and the Railroad were bringing in supplies and equipment for the German army at the battle of the Budge in Belgium in December 1944. He was 20 years of age and on his first mission over enemy territory. The B-17 was hit over Bingen just after its bomb run by German Anti-Aircraft fire as it was turning to return to England. Of the 10 crew members on the Aircraft; five were killed and five ended up in a POW camp for the rest of the war. My cousin was buried in one of the public cemeteries near Bingen for the reminder of the war. His remains are now back in the US as of 1948. By the way, I have not seen or witnessed any of this expressed so called hatred toward Germans by Americans as witnessed by the author of this page. I have witnessed only respect for the German people as a whole. Everyone may not always agree with the present German government, and its policies, but most Americans fell kindred and friendship to the German people and do not hold present day Germans responsible for anything that occurred in their history. Of course, it is only important that Germans agree with their governmental policies anyway. Germans are only responsible for their own deeds as anyone else. My ancestry goes back to Germany and according to my DNA test Germans make up 40% of my ancestry. I had always thought that my main ancestry was English and Irish, but actually it is German. I consider myself an American first, and a citizen of the world second.
I live in Koblenz the city which is shown befor bonn. And i really want to say thank you to show my Home the "rheinland" in such a beautiful point of view. i really love to live here and i never want to go away.
Beautiful, I spent 3 years in Karlsruhe in late 50's 60's I traveled the Rhine from beginning to end what wonderful people I encountered along the way. And the food.
Beautiful! As an American, I've bicycled on several holidays all over much of Germany, and nearly everywhere I found the German people welcoming and friendly. I have many fond memories of Germany, and I have made enduring friendships which I treasure. I can think of few things which bring more delight than the thought of planning my next visit to Germany.
Really? You stopped right before Cologne, the biggest, 2000 year old city on the Rhine river with the most visited landmark in all of Germany, its cathedral? Weird choice, but great footage until then.
It is not. It is, compared to what it used to look like (ruclips.net/video/oXAoEnUotOc/видео.html) but compared to other German cities like in the Ruhr region it does still look nice.@@jeanvaljean7266

Outstanding!!! I was in the big "D" from 90-93 while in the Army and was fortunate enough to visit many of these places and more.... sure would love to go back...
What's up with this woman narrator's voice? She sounds like she's really high, like she took a nice blunt and smoked up right before reciting her narration. Very relaxing voice, but makes me a little sleepy. Otherwise, very lovely. I've been to Europe but I've still to go and see Germany...
Germany is fantastic. I would love to see it again. When I was 13 years old I knew I want to see Germany and the Rhine no matter what it takes - and I did see some if it, but there is so much more. Absolutely stunning.
Had the privilege of spending 4 summers in Cologne....Rail travel along the Rhine is unquestionably beautiful. I wish the video had just a little less panning and rotating aerial shots to enjoy the breathtaking landscape and the riverscape. Still, kudos to you for the effort and many thanks for tickling back some beautiful memories back to life!
I was barely 18 when I visited Germany. Back then it was still divided by a wall. I remember crossing the border. It was a little imposing. The year was 1970.
