We first moved to our cabin in the woods back in 2020 and got stuck into the interior renovation projects. It took us nearly a year to turn a run down 1970s cabin into our dream home and oasis in the woods. Slowly we've been chipping away at exterior projects like this one. Over the course of 1 year we transformed unusable, rocky ground into a grassy area we know our kids will love playing games on in the future!
Can you believe what a difference a year can make?! Not only in landscaping... but in life!? It was so surreal to edit this footage of me (Bec) living through chemo and breast cancer just a year ago and now jump forward to a healthy pregnancy ❤. Hopefully it can remind us all that we should just keep going. Sending love to everyone watching today!!

BIG props to Eamon for remaining calm, de-escalating the situation, and having compassion and empathy while that delivery driver was going off. That man needs a little anger management and internal self-reflection work. I'm taking an emotional intelligence class right now in college and just really noticed Eamon's high EQ during that situation.

I agreed with Eamon's empathy for the situation. That's why I applauded him for recognizing it and showing a high level of emotional intelligence. Regardless of what the driver's situation was that day, that does not excuse the driver's behavior to immediately jump to verbal abuse towards Eamon. If you are having a 'bad day' or even just a reason to not want to be filmed the appropriate reaction would be to ask nicely, even yelling from afar you can be more polite. Yelling, "Hey man can you please not film me?" would have been much more level-headed than jumping to demands and profanity. You can be having a bad day and still show emotional self-control. @@colleenlongardner2692

My dad was diagnosed wiith cancer around the same time you were. He lost his battle this summer. Though my heart is broken from the loss of my dad, I can't begin to tell you how happy it makes me to see you win your battle & then go on to bring a new beautiful soul to our world. You guys are going to be wonderful parents. Thank you for sharing your story with us.
Sorry for your loss. I lost my best friend 11 months ago after an 11 year battle. Some wins during that time but ultimately losing. Cancer sucks.

While I appreciate how well you de-escalated the situation with the delivery guy and had a really patient and empathetic perspective, I do hope you informed his company. I can imagine some people might feel genuinely threatened by that kind of attitude - and if he is going through something, he needs to work on it.
But he was right…. He ended up in a vlog..and having people discussing him! The only wrong I see is posting him in hopes that people will glorify how eamon handled the situation!
In my opinion it looks bad on him, be a good person, remain calm and don’t share it with millions to see!
@@linds8568it's eamon's property. People are recorded everywhere...in stores, buisnesses, ring cameras, home security cameras. He has the right to record anyone on his property. He could politely ask not to be recorded but he starts screaming and cussing at a customer's home!!!!

If the delivery driver hadn't gone postal and yelled at his paying customer, his voice would not be on camera and the incident never would have happened. Do better, Linda. I'm doing micro clover! Doesn't need a lot of water, doesn't need a lot of cutting, and it actually adds nutrients to the soil naturally!
Yeah the amount of grass they put in is definitely resource heavy. Kinda surprised to be honest

I did a mixture of micro clover and seed (heavily drought resistant breed). Covered with burlap while it was establishing to keep water needs down. It was amazing and yes definitely way less resource heavy.
Does this mean the Eamon and Bec are going to Australia next to help Max rebuild his home?😅

@eamonandbec Third trimester by then? You'll likely feel much better. Especially months 7 and 8. Month 9 is a bit harder to navigate with a larger belly. Max appeared a bit overwhelmed with his new roof project especially after his dad went home.
@eamonandbec as much as I love Max, Bec take care of that baby for now. There will be time to fly across the pond later and help Max. Just my grandma advice❤

@@pattisorensen5645you can’t fly after 28 weeks internationally (most airlines) but there are exceptions if you’re having a uncomplicated or healthy pregnancy so sometimes 35 weeks is the cut-off. 😊
"You never know what people are going through in their lives" - That right there is how I choose to deal with escalated individuals. All we can control is how we react, and kindness don't cost nothin! :)

Great job handling that delivery guy. He really went 0 to 100 so fast. I am so glad it happened to someone who is able to stand their ground because if it happened to me I would have crumbled and been terrified.
I know we don't always know what people are going through but the same goes the other way around. You can't just walk around your day-to-day life unleashing on people like that. A simple "Hey I am not comfortable being filmed is it okay if you put that away while we do this real quick so I can get on my way?" goes a long way! Approaching a situation like that is a good quick way for things to get out of control. Eamon really is the perfect person for this to have happened to. I hope one day I can have that kind of confidence in myself! Thanks for being such awesome role models 🥺💙

Add 3-4 inches of soil back on top of rock as grass is very shallow rooted, it will do fine but will have to be watered a bunch, all the piles of wood debris, trees, greenery, rock and soil would be great in a
"hugel culture" wrap around perimeter! The point of hugel culture is water preservation. If installed on perimeter of lawn it would help keep the edges moist and green!
