    A counter-argument to the idea of "humiliation" in sports could be that it's simply a part of the game. In competitive sports, teams win and lose, and a 4-0 loss is just an indication of which team performed better on the day. It doesn't necessarily reflect the overall quality or worth of the losing team.
    Moreover, losses can be constructive, providing valuable lessons that can lead to improvement and growth. They can motivate a team to work harder and come back stronger in future matches. Therefore, rather than feeling humiliated, fans could view such defeats as opportunities for their team to learn and develop.
    In the end, every team has its ups and downs, and a single loss, no matter the scoreline, is just a snapshot in the long timeline of a team's history. It's important to maintain perspective and support the team through thick and thin.

      I agree in theory. In practice I’m not sure the lessons are being learned. Dominating possession with a high line without creating and capitalizing on quality chances is a dangerous game against teams that sit back and defend well, while being clinical on the counterattack.

    I’m fuming with Spurs today and it’s not the first time this season.. But people have GOT to give it time. We're only at the beginning of a massive rebuild that's needed to happen since 2018… No top manager in the league has hit the ground running in the first season, especially after selling the best striker in the world and trying to improve a squad of players left behind by previous managers. Remember that aange has only signed 4 players. Ange and the team will also be learning from these defeats as they go along. He is probably gonna finish higher than Klopp or Arteta did in their first season. Context and Patience.

    Sonny can NOT play with his back the goal. He needs through balls if he had received Azik’passes Sonny would have scored! We simply do not play to our players strengths we play to their weakness’s

    how many games do you give someone before they realize there tactic doesn't work every week and you need to change it ? did he learn from fulham ? doesnt look like he did . high line is dangerous and not defending set plays is madness, not replacing kane is also madness, spurs are lucky to be 5th but arsenal will slaughter this spurs team playing this tactic

    its amazing even VDV for all the pace he is raved about for, couldnt get up and past Isak for that one goal. Not that I am blaming VDV, i agree with Barnaby, we are missing that 3rd helper from midfield. who has the best chance of playing that role? PEH? seems not to be Biss or Rodrigo

    It's just another very bad day at the office for Ange and the players, such a bad day that we sank below Villa without them even playing and as a result of that I have to hope that Arsenal batter them tomorrow, talk about adding insult to injury, only saving grace was I didn't have Sonny captained in my FPL team.

    I’ve seen this season as a culture change. Results like this are obviously not good but in the long run it could help the team & Ange learn from mistakes. Similar to when Klop went to Liverpool & the first couple of seasons weren’t good but it was about building a team & culture then they were able to become the team they are now

      People adapt, if it's like this two seasons in then there is a problem. Our biggest issue is we do not have the players to play this system! About 90% of our goals have been taps ins, we have no one to score outside the box which we need when teams play deep all game which they often do against us. So many players aren't good enough, anges system has made players look way better than they are. Players like Destiny and Bissouma started the season great then their form slid and has Continued! Is it a coincidence that these players who dress like rock stars, take photos with music artists are the same who have lost their form? I'm upset but lets wait, we have outperformed this season so we should be happy!

    07:40. Son isn’t world class. He’s a brilliant player. He doesn’t start for city, he doesn’t start for real, Bayern or a plethora of Europe’s other biggest teams. He’d get game time but he doesn’t walk into any team in the worlds starting XI, thus, he isn’t world class. De Bruyne, for example, walks into any midfield in world football, mbappe walks into any team in world football, l. That’s what makes these guys ‘elite’ or ‘world class’. Sonny doesn’t fall into this category. Club legend but don’t confuse that with being world class.

    • @incontinentia3119
      @incontinentia3119 Месяц назад +2

      I find the whole argument pointless to be honest. We can argue the semantics behind the "World Class" title until the cows come home, but at the end of the day it's a loosely defined title that isn't institutionalized with any set of rules. Literally anyone can be World Class if someone significant believes it hard enough.
