- When control over money, muscle and caste groups is the sole determinant of success in a political set up, we cannot expect anything better. Can young India rise up to this challenge and provide an alternative? Can we put in place a set up where people go up the political ladder based on meritocracy, capability and integrity instead of dynastic and caste affiliations, money power and nepotism? Tejasvi Surya is a prominent youth leader, orator and writer from Bangalore. In 2001, at the young age of 11, Tejasvi Surya received the prestigious 'National Balashree Award' from the President of India. In 2008, he founded a youth powered NGO, Arise India, that now works in various areas including skill development, youth and women empowerment, and preservation of culture and heritage.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. This was a revolutionary speech, and this is how the youths coming from modest backgrounds think more or Less.
And such speeches were made myriads of times by various revolutionary youth leaders and thinkers. But still never have we ever seen any initiative or effort in the direction, these revolutionary talks were delivered.
I found out the reason today. These opinion changers and narrative bursters are bought by these dynasts or other categories like who thrive on communal politics and those who funds this entire system to get a fair return.
For example:- see this guy seven years ago, and take a look at his political career since start till now. You will notice that stark contrast and get this heart wrenching reality of what happened to his thoughts and feelings for this country's youth and their future.
So I just wanted to propose this idea that yes whatever he said is fairly true and can be implemented as the measures to bring about that change he is talking of.
But we have to have that determination that not mere eloquence and tactics of delivering a revolutionary talks can do the needful. These skills can be learnt at some management schools and such propositions are there in the history. What is the most needed is missing in these recent urban scholars with sophistry and eloquence. These learnt skills are practiced in a manner that is designed to reflect as their real intentions, along with tactical parabol just to sell themselves at a fair price. And I am sure you must be knowing the status of Mr Surya as an MP that he became without belling any cat.... 😜😜
So this was a scripted performance and a gimmick to be hand picked by some of the leaders or corporates that he is mentioning in his talk.
This is true but the revolution will be brought about by those youths who do not have that lifestyle, who struggle everyday searching for the means of livelihood. Who are preparing for exams for years. Who are barely able to live their life they wished for.
They need to get inspired and motivated. They will revolt and bring about this change.
People like you are same as of those oppressors who exploits and opportinists like you.
Shame on what you did after such a revolutionary talks. Show an iota of your efforts in the direction you are so enthusiastically speaking in this. You level of discourse has fallen to a level where you were saying like if someone from the public or other political opponents abuse a leader, he should respond in the same manner and language.
Compare this conversation with what you are talking in this Ted talk.
