One of the great actors of our generation. It’s wonderful to see him begin to get the global critical recognition he deserves.
I’m Right There With You He Does Deserve Recognition
"Not pretending to be someone else, but finding that person within you."
Beautiful.
I think his loneliness on this film helped him with the filming of all of us strangers which he started two weeks after finishing Ripley. I love that this classy interviewer asks Andrew the right questions about his art rather than inane questions about his sexuality and some of the nonsense he gets asked on press tours. I'm so glad to see him speak so deeply about his art. And so much admiration about him getting through the grief of losing his beloved mother just a few weeks ago. A great interview!
True, this is a rare example of a great interviewer. Attentive and asking all the right questions, and you can tell Andrew appreciates it.
The most loveable humble actor we have, this mans talent is off the scale, it was such a shame all of strangers wasnt nominated for an oscar, it was the best film i have seen in a long time, and as a fellow irish person i pray a wee bit that everything andrew does is very successful, he is a beautiful wee soul ❤❤❤
His performance in "All of Us Strangers" was heartbreakingly wonderful. A great film from director/writer Andrew Haigh, and with three other fine actors in top form -- Paul Mescal, Claire Foy and Jamie Bell.
@@treesny it was amazing, heartbreakingly beautiful x
I could listen to Andrew talk about his craft for hours. Thank you for posting this extended interview ❤ If you haven't seen this man on stage, do yourself a favour.
what a beautiful soul he is.
Andrew is so f'n real. Love his acting as well as every interview he does
Anthony Mason is such an intelligent interviewer.
Anthony Mason's interviews are always a joy. And Andrew is just so honest and a joy to watch.
These interviews with the actor are such a relief because the character, Tom Ripley, is chilling. Thought I’d binge watch. I can’t. One painfully exquisite episode at a time is all I can endure.
Masterful performance!
Great interview, more like a genuine chat. Andrew is so easy to listen to!
I just fecking love Andrew Scott...ditto what everyone else says about his humility and realness,it seems such a rare thing these days and is so refreshing.
So enjoyed this interview, interviewer was relaxed and thoughtful and Andrew was allowed to think before he responded. Initially thought he was tired but then when he said his mother had recently died, I recognised the tiredness which comes with grief.
I like the way he talks about the characters that he acts.
I love the way both Andrew Scott and Cillian Murphy discuss their work. Very honest, intelligent guys I could lusten to all day
Lusten to. Freudian slip lol?
Love love Andrew Scott!! Immensely talented actor ❤
Another Superb Irish Actor ❤️🇮🇪
Such a lovely human ❤
Wonderful and intelligent interview with such a humble and brilliant actor!
I’m continually mesmerized by Andrew Scott. 👌💕
I want to see Andrew and Cillian on screen together, now that would be a absolute treat 🇮🇪❤️
They starred together in The Delinquent Season.
Such a great interview. Such a wonderful human being, Andrew.
What a wonderfu, thoughtful, inspiring conversation. I could listen to it for hours.
excellent interview, very informed interviewer and lovely tone overall. Scott is a fantastic (and Irish) actor !
Such a lovely man and a great actor.
Scott is one of the finest actors alive and couldn't be more correct about humans needing stories and art. They are not luxuries.
Andrew Scott is so talented and should have gotten an Academy Award nomination for ‘All of Us Strangers.’
What a great interview. Thank you!
An actor with depth and insight
Andrew Scott... Just an amazing actor... Can't wait for his future projects..
Il est tellement talentueux et si agréable à écouter...
He’s pretty wise and self-aware.
Love Andrew Scott. I don't think anyone could play him as well as Andrew did
Scott is a genius🖐
An amazing performance from Mr Scott (aka Mr Ripley).
What a lovely relaxed interview. I could have watched this for hours 👏👏👏
Wonderful interview! Wonderful man!
Andrew is freaking AWESOME as an actor and I bet as a friend to hang out with too
His thoughts are so profound 😮
Scott is brilliant. Period.
He FULLY inhabited the character of Ripley. Total and complete commitment to the role. A great singular performance.
Ripley is brilliant, and love this, but c'mon CBS, why is the sound in this intervew SO BAD?
😍
Andrew Scott played so many bad guys and he plays so well, just looking at him scares of me 😂
Storytelling to me is a human need - indeed...
First I thought this was Mark Ruffalo. :)
Love Andrew Scott! but damn this interviewer has a kinda judgemental tone deep voice. Thank God Andrew did most of the talking.
I am surprised at the way he pronounces "machinations".
I believe that's the standard British pronunciation -- "mash." The usual U.S. pronunciation is "mak."
@@treesny fascinating, because I hear Brits using the American version too
@@treesnyhe is Irish not British.
@@zenden6584 Thanks for the correction; of course I know he's Irish; this was a slip. I meant to say that that was the preferred pronunciation on the other side of the Atlantic.
Great show, pity about the woke
I'm not sure about rooting for the character he plays at all, in fact quite the opposite!
It's dangerous - and perhaps unnecessary - to desexualize any person. Because where does that energy go? Wow..
I agree somewhat about the desexualising of priests, but surely in a world where asexuality is accepted, can not priests occupy this rile. Surely God chose priests because they naturally transcended their lower urges
