You wouldn’t have the two biggest football brands in the ACC go through all of this if there wasn’t legitimate evidence in those documents. At this point it’s just a matter of when FSU and Clemson will get out. When that happens then the floodgates will be open and I think the next schools that will try to leave will probably be North Carolina and possibly Miami. Especially if FSU and Clemson can get into one of the power two schools with good deals.

      What YOU don’t seem to grasp is FSU AND Ckemson are both leaving REGARDLESS of whether or not they win their legal battles. FSU has already secured the “financing” needed to pay their way out (I’m not as up to date with Clemson’s financial situation but I think it’s safe to assume they too either have or are in the process of making the necessary arrangements).
      Maybe FSU & Clemson don’t leave until 2027, but even then they’d still be leaving NINE YEARS before the contract ends & espn would be stuck paying $50M a year for a handful of teams no one watches…hence why they are not keen to sign off on the extension.

    • @505premoto
      @505premoto Месяц назад

      @@seminoldschool7032You can’t secure financing without knowing the amount needed. It’s not a blank check. FSU has $179m available and can get up to $50m if needed. Nothing is going to happen until the ACC and FSU come to a settlement. The ACC is doing everything it can to drag it out for years, which is a distinct possibility. However, the ACC is having to fight in both a FL court and a SC court. It’s a reasonable assumption that something is going to happen in one or the other state courts to push the ACC to the settlement table. That most likely will be 6-9 months from now. FSU will get out of the ACC but it will be for the’26-‘27 season. I do not think that it will be earlier. It’s coming but not as quick as many people on social media are making claims.

And, didn’t he graduate from Florida State? People also seem to want to ignore the growing rumors of the SEC supposedly looking more heavily at Kansas and West Virginia down the road. And, the Big 10 taking a closer look at Colorado and Utah. Sure, these are just rumors right now but so is everything else. But theses rumors seem to hold a lot more logical value than either or both FSU or Clemson going to either the SEC or Big10. Again, neither school has the academics to get in to the Big 10 and the SEC doesn’t need more members in areas they already are represented in. As the SEC said, very plainly, there is just no financial reason to add FSU and/or Clemson.

      I respect that. I can’t speak for EVERY FSU or Clemson fan but this isn’t a matter of us not respecting the XII. I for one thinks it’s an AWESOME conference with the most parity from top to bottom and I think that conference happens to play the most exciting style of football. It isn’t “beneath us” or “insulting” to be rumored to the XII…it’s just not financially feasible as it stands right now. The entire reason FSU is fighting to leave revolves around the fact that they’ll be earning less than HALF of what teams like Vanderbilt or Rutgers make EVERY-SINGLE-YEAR starting in 2026. FSU currently bridges the pay gap with boosters & that keeps us at even money with the top dogs TODAY…but we can’t just double our booster income in 2026 & then continue to increase that booster funding by an additional 3% every year for eternity.
      Honestly if money wasn’t an issue I for one would love the idea of joining the XII. I recognize that your conference WILL be making more than ours in the coming years (I think y’all officially jump us in 2027? Maybe it’s sooner🤷🏻‍♂️)…but your conference will still only be paying out about $4M more each year than ours does…and while $4M a year would be life changing for you & me it just doesn’t put a dent in the difference between our conferences earnings and the P2

      😂😂…I don’t think an extra $4M a year is the “game changer” you want it to be lol.
      FSU already makes more money than any XII team (even after the increase) with their additional revenue streams. They are currently top12 in highest revenue earning programs…the problem is that 80% of their “revenue” comes from alternative streams”, meaning boosters have been making up the difference for the last 15+ years just to keep ‘em competitive…but now that the SEC & B1G teams are about to start receiving nearly DOUBLE what they used to it’s no longer a sustainable or realistic strategy to rely on said “alternative streams”. FSU & Clemson are the ONLY 2 teams in ANY Conference that EARN (generate) almost TWICE as much money as they receive (feel free to google this…it will blow your mind & hopefully allow you to develop a new appreciation for the situation these 2 teams are currently in). When FSU & Clemson complain about subsidizing every team in the conference they aren’t being hyperbolic, those other schools LITERALLY survive entirely off the money those 2 schools give them.

      I genuinely like & respect the XII. The fact that it isn’t realistic or advantageous for FSU to consider joining that conference isn’t a reflection on the teams representing it…it’s simply a matter of money. A big reason he uses to prove that Florida State would not come is actually one of the main reasons why they could. The thought that moving to the Big 12 is a lateral move is very short sighted. The Big 12 is only behind the ACC by about $.5 million right now. If Florida State and Clemson came to the Big 12, the Big 12 would immediately restructure their TV deal and would be way ahead of the ACC even if their TV deal does not change, which is unlikely without them in the conference. But that is only part of it. The Big 12 already has 2 teams that have participated in the CFP. If Florida State and Clemson came to the Big 12, that would give the Big 12 4 teams that have participated in the CFP with the ACC having none. Nobody wants them.
    EDIT: Not even the ACC.
    They need to just shut up and play.

    Hahaha. “It’s all a misinformation campaign and I can prove it to you” and then he follows up with pure conjecture and zero proof. That alone removes any credibility this guy might have had. 😂

      So needing to avoid "tortious interference" isn't enough evidence to have "high confidence" in an opinion? Make a better argument. All ears.

      @@edjrenaline there’s plenty of other reasons. They truly aren’t interested. They know it’s a moot point because Clemson and FSU media rights belong to the ACC until 2036. They don’t like the school colors. Whatever. He said he could “prove” it and then went on to prove absolutely nothing. 🤷‍♂️

      @@pjtarheel what did you expect? To see signed documents? Lol.. It's logic and legal reasoning. To think that SEC and BIG10 have ZERO interest in FSU and Clemson and that the BIG12 can freely commit tortious interference and have high hopes for them makes no sense.
