I think of the families I know who are part of this community and take note of a share-house that I once lived in, which Dan walks past.Cheers!

Beautiful song, but hearing it on Rage tonite, hubby picked up that the tune sounds VERY similar to "The Wreck of The Old Fitzgerald" by Gordon Lightfoot and when we played that song for son, he agreed it sounds like the same tune.
I suppose it would sound like "Edmund Fitzgerald" if you were tone deaf. Jesus wept, everytime one of us Blakfella do something great there are people like you tryin to kick us back down again. I am well acquainted with Gordon Lightfoot's work and it bears no comparison with young Dans work on this track, or on any other he has made.
I know this is a late reply Garry but I'd agree with you as it's a far stretch to claim any resemblance to Gordon's song. While the chord progressions may bare some similarity, the arrangement is totally different. Dan Sultan created an achingly beautiful heartfelt masterpiece with this song! Dan is an amazing talent:)
