As someone with ADHD, thank you. Some of us try to work with our condition to avoid it impacting others and even with that, mistakes happen. It takes a lot of effort, but if I don't put in the work FIRST, it's unfair to ask people to be understanding if/when mistakes happen.

It can be a reason for you lashing out but if it's a constant issue and you don't get help, then it becomes less and less believable that you're sorry and turns more into excuse after excuse. THANK YOU! It’s so frustrating to see her use that as an excuse. Especially as someone who has ADHD, disordered eating and depression. Like you had the options of healthy food, even with adhd I can still be a nice person no matter if I get a little sidetracked. I don’t like to waste peoples time or inconvenience others. And as for the depression, again you could still have depression and be a genuinely kind person. Depression for me is mainly internalized issues I have with myself but I refuse to project that onto others because they haven’t done me wrong. ESPECIALLY SOMEONE I CALL A FRIEND.

I agree. I too have ADHD and many others I know of who try their best to not make an issue of it cuz having it makes it a lot difficult to WORK and STUDY. We still try to do our best so we can make it seem like we don't have it so we can progress like everyone else the best we can. Gabbie doesn't even look like she's trying and getting diagnosed made it seem like she finally had a reason or excuse for her bad behavior.

I'm about to say something Controversial Yet Brave ✨ in my experience with ana, and from knowing others with ED, literally no one who actually suffers with any form of ED would ever blame someone else for "making their eating disorder come back" for not getting them special diet food. no one who has suffered with ED would go on a diet, period. you live a healthy life, not go on a harsh diet where you restrict foods. to me, it sounds like Gabbie is just using the "Eating Disorder Card" to get what she wants, and excuse her bitchy behavior, meanwhile back in reality, she's just on a diet, and has never been diagnosed with ED. @@scarlett8782 I have BED (binge eating disorder) and part of what makes it hard is if I go somewhere where the only food provided is junk food or “less healthy” because it’s extremely hard to resist the urge to eat, but I would still never blame those who provided the food, they are not responsible for my disorder. Dieting for me doesn’t work, maybe there are people who have an eating disorder that found dieting helpful and kept them on track, but in most cases you don’t go on an ultra healthy diet, you’d have set food goals with a professional to keep you on track. Maybe she does have an ED but it sounds to me like she uses mental illness and serious disorders as scape goats which is abusive and also increases the already large stigma around things like ADHD and eating disorders

Exactly. Intermittent fasting is restricted food intake, aka, disordered eating. Any good nutritionist or doctor who works with eating disorders would not let the patient do intermittent fasting
@@mi-nie it’s not restricted food intake, because you can eat whatever you like within a certain time window. It’s just a schedule to stick to, without boundaries on what can be eaten.
Intermittent fasting just means you eat in an 8 hour period. So you eat between like 11am till 7pm and you try to get all your calories in during that period

Super agree! It took me YEARS to get officially diagnosed with ADHD because my parents were afraid that having it would mean horrible things for me and my future. I actually got diagnosed TODAY and this situation is the first thing I see after?? Crazy. Anyway even without any kind of medication, therapy etc. for dealing with the ADHD I didn’t know I had, I NEVER acted in such a horrific and unprofessional way. I have ADHD, I know others with it, I follow ADHD tiktok, and How to ADHD on RUclips. She is right one "it's not one size fits all". But we are not like that! Most of us are deeply empathetic and aware of our weakness and try hard to mask. We know we are a lot. By the time you are 30 you need to learn how to manage the condition so we can be professional. We all hold our breath at work. No responsible mature adult expects the world to adapt to them, they adapt to the environment, ADHD or not. My manager at the call center didn't give a shit about my ADHD and dyslexia. I had quotas, a schedule, had to clock in on time, be polite, clock out on time. I was grateful working for a company that at least care for their entry and are understanding. If I was late every day the "sorry I got distracted, I have a medical condition, can't blame me blame my ADHD for losing the train " wouldn't cut it. There is an understanding but if I make a habit out of it I'm incompetent.

I have mental illness (not ADHD) and my mental illness as well as others still hold negative stigma in many people's minds.(My mental illness especially is viewed in very negative light). Only my family and closest friends know and that's because I don't want anyone putting label on me because of my illness and if I do something wrong, I don't go making excuses that it's because of that illness. Because decisions I make myself, of course illness can influence that, but in the end it's still my decisions. The same if a person is under influence(drugs or alcohol) and does something really bad and maybe doesn't remember that, it's still that person's responsibility and if it's a crime then it's jail time. Regarding mental illness, only excuses work if person's sanity is gone or is not stable, example, dementia, psychotic attacks etc. I and I think many others want to be accepted as normal beings and not to be judged based of mental illnesses. To be understood and being able to integrate into society and seen as humans and not by mental illness. What Hanna does is very bad. Many people will think that people with mental illness are troublesome. It's already so hard and so much bad stigma, we don't need more because of Hanna.
@ I’m leaning more to npd rather than bpd because she seems to have her own reality rather than intense swings of emotions. Though it could still possibly be bpd considering how she seems to have either really really positive views of people or really really negative views of people, or even switching between those views of people. Of course I’m no physiologist, psychiatrist, nor any sort of trained mental health professional. At least yet, I would like to go to school to be a psychiatrist (though it depends on where I want to go in life because if I want a family, I probably won’t go that route because of how consuming it is).

I’m an actor with ADHD -and- bipolar. I have never, EVER, treated anyone like that. You are responsible for treating your own mental health. Take your medication and talk to a therapist. If you still act terrible after doing both of those things, then that is on you.

Thing is, most A list actors are way more professional than that. There are a handful of people with more diva like behavior but nothing even close to anything like this.
I don’t work in the filming industry but I’ve heard a lot of stories from those who do about actors in the industry. And funnily enough a lot of them say the A-List actors are really respectful, professional, and easy to work with but the less famous actors are the ones who act out. “If you have to convince me that you’re a big deal, then you probably aren’t.”

As someone with ADHD, Gabbie is making people like us look like we’re entitled and dramatic. (Granted, I’m an actor myself so of course I’m dramatic but in no way am I a diva). I’m glad that Joey, Daniel, AND ROSANNA spoke out about Gabbie’s unprofessionalism.
I agree. I too have ADHD and many others I know of who try their best to not make an issue of it cuz having it makes it a lot difficult to WORK and STUDY. We still try to do our best so we can make it seem like we don't have it so we can progress like everyone else the best we can. Gabbie doesn't even look like she's trying and getting diagnosed made it seem like she finally had a reason or excuse for her bad behavior.

I'm about to say something Controversial Yet Brave ✨ in my experience with ana, and from knowing others with ED, literally no one who actually suffers with any form of ED would ever blame someone else for "making their eating disorder come back" for not getting them special diet food. no one who has suffered with ED would go on a diet, period. you live a healthy life, not go on a harsh diet where you restrict foods. to me, it sounds like Gabbie is just using the "Eating Disorder Card" to get what she wants, and excuse her bitchy behavior, meanwhile back in reality, she's just on a diet, and has never been diagnosed with ED. Dieting for me doesn’t work, maybe there are people who have an eating disorder that found dieting helpful and kept them on track, but in most cases you don’t go on an ultra healthy diet, you’d have set food goals with a professional to keep you on track. Maybe she does have an ED but it sounds to me like she uses mental illness and serious disorders as scape goats which is abusive and also increases the already large stigma around things like ADHD and eating disorders

Super agree! It took me YEARS to get officially diagnosed with ADHD because my parents were afraid that having it would mean horrible things for me and my future. i have ADHD and the fact she’s painting us out as “uncontrollable” and “hard to work with” when we’ve worked hard on actually educating people with what it is and what it isnt is so offensive. she’s using the stereotype, not the actual experience. we never use our ADHD as an excuse to be a horrible person and we can actually control ourselves, it’s not flavors of ice cream, there isn’t different variations, we all deal with the same symptoms and issues.
THIS. Like I feel so embarrassed. I’ve worked so hard to get my adhd under control and I’m still working on it but she’s setting such a bad image for people like us, she’s spreading false information about it and acting like it’s the worst thing in the world.

I have ADHD, I know others with it, I follow ADHD tiktok, and How to ADHD on RUclips. She is right one "it's not one size fits all". But we are not like that! Most of us are deeply empathetic and aware of our weakness and try hard to mask. We know we are a lot. By the time you are 30 you need to learn how to manage the condition so we can be professional. We all hold our breath at work. No responsible mature adult expects the world to adapt to them, they adapt to the environment, ADHD or not.
My manager at the call center didn't give a shit about my ADHD and dyslexia. I had quotas, a schedule, had to clock in on time, be polite, clock out on time. I was grateful working for a company that at least care for their entry and are understanding.
If I was late every day the "sorry I got distracted, I have a medical condition, can't blame me blame my ADHD for losing the train " wouldn't cut it. There is an understanding but if I make a habit out of it I'm incompetent.

I have mental illness (not ADHD) and my mental illness as well as others still hold negative stigma in many people's minds.(My mental illness especially is viewed in very negative light). Only my family and closest friends know and that's because I don't want anyone putting label on me because of my illness and if I do something wrong, I don't go making excuses that it's because of that illness. Because decisions I make myself, of course illness can influence that, but in the end it's still my decisions. The same if a person is under influence(drugs or alcohol) and does something really bad and maybe doesn't remember that, it's still that person's responsibility and if it's a crime then it's jail time. Regarding mental illness, only excuses work if person's sanity is gone or is not stable, example, dementia, psychotic attacks etc. I and I think many others want to be accepted as normal beings and not to be judged based of mental illnesses. To be understood and being able to integrate into society and seen as humans and not by mental illness. What Hanna does is very bad. Many people will think that people with mental illness are troublesome. It's already so hard and so much bad stigma, we don't need more because of Hanna.
@ I’m leaning more to npd rather than bpd because she seems to have her own reality rather than intense swings of emotions. Though it could still possibly be bpd considering how she seems to have either really really positive views of people or really really negative views of people, or even switching between those views of people.
Of course I’m no physiologist, psychiatrist, nor any sort of trained mental health professional. At least yet, I would like to go to school to be a psychiatrist (though it depends on where I want to go in life because if I want a family, I probably won’t go that route because of how consuming it is).

I’m an actor with ADHD -and- bipolar. I have never, EVER, treated anyone like that. You are responsible for treating your own mental health. Take your medication and talk to a therapist. If you still act terrible after doing both of those things, then that is on you.
