Ahhh… Taupe. I remember a shadow stick you talked about many years ago. I think it was “shimmer taupe” made by Sephora. You talked me into purchasing it and I absolutely loved it. I don’t think they make that one anymore.

Yes, a Matt shade in my crease is a must do as I’ve aged. With 70 on the horizon next year, my old lids are definitely not what they used to be. 😉

Beautiful color shadow. The fallout though, man I can’t. It’s rare I wear shadows because of that headache. I do absolutely love a one and done, but I’ll stick to my creams for that.

@@MrKongsMom awe well I just love you too woman❤️….This stage of life is crazy enough as is and dealing with hormonal changes and lizard skin, or bottle your own oil skin, is for the damn birds! ….as for the men in our life, I don’t think they realize we are one smartass remark away from full on crazy town… I tell mine, tread lightly mister, you never know who you’re getting from day to day😂
Hi Melanie while I like the thought of one and done and wore one eyeshadow most of the time when I was younger, my hooded crepey eyes look better with two shades ie a matte in the crease and a cream or powder shimmer on the lid. Shimmer all up into the crease is no longer flattering on my 52 year old lid 😂. Careful placement of shimmer on the lid is still pretty and a soft coordinating matte in the crease is still a simple pretty Summer look and very much my go to in the warmer weather. I think bright sunlight is really unforgiving to powder or heavier makeup in general on extremely dry skin and it looks heavy and powdery on me. I’m wearing a skin tint and a liquid blush with a tinted balm or gloss most days so a lighter eye makeup makes sense anyway. I add a pop of colour on the lower lashline to match my outfit eg turquoise, lavender, green etc to just make it even more Summery. Best wishes x
Oh yes, completely understand the aversion to shimmer if your lids are more hooded and if your lids are getting crepey. I do love me a good matte look as well but this spring and summer I am craving shimmer for some reason. As always thank you for chiming in with what works for you Loraine!
