Today's my 56th wedding anniversary. My husband and I celebrated at home with hamburgers, fries, and macaroni salad I made. Had strawberry shortcake for dessert.

One time me and my husband met at a place to eat. I drove my car and he met me there. Then automatically I got in his vehicle, we got home and REMEMBERED that I drove there separately, lol, so we naturally had to go back for my car… it was funny!!!

Corie, 43 years ago my husband and I went out for ice cream and the next morning my water broke. Baby came right on his due date. Hope the ice cream works for you!
For my first baby it was pizza that done it for me. My mom came and picked me up and took me and stuffed me with pizza, next day I repayed her by making her a first time grandma.
My parents had seven kids. When they wanted to talk with each other they would sit in the car! They didn't go anywhere, they would just get into the car and chat. ❤❤
Haha. Me and my husband do the same. Sometimes we just need to unwind in the car and talk.
We used to do that, too. Sometimes, we took a mug of tea to the car to have a chat.

Your little boy is going to be so lucky to have a daddy like Austin. He has such a kind heart. Date nights are essential. My late husband and I would do the yard work on Saturday then go on a date to Golden Corral.
You mentioned that the fries won't be very good tomorrow. Get an air fryer. It will heat them back up and keep the flavor.

A few weeks ago, my wife and I wanted to see a movie but everything that was out looked terrible. So, we drove to the theater, bought a bucket of popcorn, and then just drove around town. The drive was our "movie," and it was probably more entertaining than what was on the screen. Plus, we could talk about what we saw without bothering anyone. Of course, we could've made our own popcorn, which is cheaper, but we thought it would be fun just this once to go into the theater, buy a popcorn, and walk right out the door. We kinda felt like we were doing something wrong, lol! Enjoyed the video, God bless!

Yessss because i live exactly where they do and Austin mentions we haven’t had any really hot days yet that it’s been lower 70’s and the last 3 weeks at least have been high 90’s a couple days 100

It is so important for couples to dedicate a little time for them to celebrate a date night adventure. Nothing is more important in a marriage than to commit to spending time together away from the house doing the things that they enjoy together. As the children come along, finding a few moments alone with each other each week becomes more of a challenge. Hopefully your family will help with the kids while you get out for an evening meal together at a special place that you both enjoy. So happy for the two of you. My grand dog likes to help bring in groceries 😂 it’s so funny he just started grabbing the plastic bags. And puts it down carefully where they tell him to. We have it on video. 😂 I hope you’re feeling okay. Last part of pregnancy is hard to get comfortable and sleep well . Among other things. I couldn’t see my feet let alone tie my laces. Praying for a smooth delivery. I know you and Austin are excited for baby. Glad you had a great date night ❤
My Charlie loves to pull my Solo cup off the table, usually filled with chocolate milk (yes I know chocolate is bad for dogs--- someone should tell Charlie!!!)

I'm probably going through a hormone spell, but this video (only two minutes in) has calmed me and given me a sweet little rush of serotonin. I so admire the slower-paced life you all enjoy. It's such a stark contrast to life here in Los Angeles. I crave a different normal...one with more appreciation for wholesome pleasures.
My husband have been married working on 35 years and what you all did for your date night is exactly what we would do . Time together is what is important not what you do .
When I was expecting our first child (a boy who is 42 years old!) we lived down the street from a Dairy Queen. My doctor said I could walk a little so every night almost we “walked “ to get ice cream and “walked “ back! I always got a banana split light on the syrupy toppings. The ice cream seemed to help my heart burn. God bless hope little guy gets here soon.

SWEET TOOTH ❤ my Dad had been in a coma for 7 or 8 weeks & had literally forgotten how to swallow. Ice cream & bananas saved his life 😉 hooray for ice cream!!!❤
We didn't have date night but every Sunday afternoon we would sit on the couch working the crossword in the newspaper. Just being together even in silence is rewarding. It's good you make time together intentionally!

My husband and I have been married 65 years.We still enjoy each other’s company.His health is not as good as mind. I pray all the time that we will get to stay in our home n not have to go to a nursing home..It does my heart good watching you young people love each other the way you do …love n prayers ❤

Sweet tooth. You two are so cute together. Bless your sweet family. My husband's idea of a good date was going to a junkyard to look for old car parts. He loved restoring old Fords. He has been gone for 21 years now and I would love to go with him to the junkyard now, even though I hated it back then. Dont ever take each other for granted because it could all change in the blink of an eye. Enjoy every minute of your time together.

53 years and we’re still having date nights. Sometimes it’s just a ride but it’s still the best time. It’s so important to not get caught up in daily life that you forget to live.

A date night is whatever the two of you enjoy doing! My husband and I used to go to our local Animal rescue league and visit the dogs and cats. We are animal lovers! Then we would go out to dinner. We loved it. It's nice seeing you enjoy your time together!

Sweet Tooth! I remember eating Baskin and Robbins every Friday night of my first pregnancy with my son. Way back in 1989! Helped me put on much needed weight and prepare for feeding my baby! 🥰

You can turn anything into a date night as long as you're spending it with your favorite person. The hubs and I enjoy hanging out around the firepit, or just going to Lowe's and the grocery store!!! ❤️

Our Bassett was good at stealing the toilet plunger. I found a type that locks in its own case. He would steal toilet paper off the roll which was horrible during the tp shortage. We double teamed him more than once to get a half a roll away from him. Have since figured out it’s the brown paper roll in the middle he loves to destroy.

Yes this sounds like a good idea for date night; really about anything when you're with your sweetie, warm and clean and kissable. Some good activity that is enjoyable for both and good company -- maybe a movie, or who knows. Depends on where you are and what is available for entertainment. Options may be different in a more urban area, but good companionship is a must!

Aww! Your date night was perfect! So fun! Nowadays, a date night for my husband and me means going out for a coffee drink or ice cream. Sometimes dinner and really occasionally we’ll go out dancing. Sometimes it’s a picnic in the park or catching a free live music event or something. Sometimes we go out on a hiking date! All our kids are grown up now and we’re learning what we like to do now as older people.

Its definitely a real date night. My husbands and my favorite date is grabbing a pizza from our favorite spot,driving with it to our favorite place to park and look and the beautiful scenery, and eating our pizza in the car just talking with ine another and enjoying the view and each others company. Best ever for us.

These are the date nights we have always preferred, even after almost 30 years of marriage. Don’t have to dress up. The food is spectacular, and we actually can talk and hear each other and it’s not dark like some restaurants so we can see our food.
Now you having us wanting a snow cone! We have a place here called Sno to Go! Nothing fancy but AWESOME if you crave ice!
