~theoretically~ you could lengthen your Stella tank by just cutting the straps at the top and picking up stitches. I have used Kitchener stitch to close an I cord bind off before (Roxane knits has a great tutorial) so I would imagine you could do the same here. I have never done it before though so at your own risk! Lol
For the striped - since you have extended the width of the armholes on the back, you could alternatively reduce the width by ‘steeking ’ out extra width there before seaming to the front.
Great crafts! Saw that you use Nepal for the blue/white cardigan. I recently knit a slipover using this yarn. Liked it but it shrunk some 25-30% in the bodylength when I washed it in luke warm water. I knew that it would but just thought I’d mention it.
Ahh the youtube spiral, I know girl , me too!!! … Since you ask I am currently knitting a Thea top, the sunset camisole and the Slanted top so full-on summer knitting! I feel super inspired this summer and the only wool I touched in the last month was when working on a pair of socks. I also applied to test the Rococco top from Sari Nordlund, fingers crossed I get picked 😁
I was in full summer swing, knitting a lil cotton bag, but it’s taking SO darn long. Been working on it on and off for like a month and a half?? Like it’s on 3mm needles so it is truly a test of patience. I’m kinda thinking of casting on something that’s more autumn/winter appropriate (a zipper sweater) cos it’s rainy and overcast today and i just lit up a wax burner and i’m feeling so cozy rn
You are definitely one of the most entertaining knitting podcasts out there😁 Love it! Summer knits all the way here. Knitting on a spring bloom tee by humbleknit now in a sharp green color💚Have a great week☀️🧶
So glad to watch your episode ❤ I will cast on the moonset tee also if I can finish the cumulus tee. The kfo pure silk is a different texture because it is made from silk noil (they let tge worms hatch , breaking the cocoon and the strands of silk). It is a more humane silk. The shiny silk is usually tussah silk, for which the boil or chemically dissolve the worms so they never break out of their cocoon. Another expression for silk noil (kfo) is « bourette silk ». I find it is a lovely material 😊
Happy Monday!! Stay cool! You did awesome today! You made me laugh so I was definitely entertained! I’m working on one summer tee and one winter sweater. I just can’t stop knitting sweaters, even though it’s going to be 96 degrees here in sw NM. 😅 I’m with you on all the disaster videos. I’m definitely not flying or sailing ANYWHERE. I’m anxious to see our your cardigan ends up. You’re definitely good at finding alternatives. ✌🏼💕
Fun episode! I'm knitting all the things - a Misurina, some socks, a giant swatch for the Three Season Cardi... hyooooge! I also went down a Titan/shipwreck rabbit hole. Personally, it was a fun place to be for a couple days. Terrifying, but enlightening.
I'm making the Air Tee by Ozetta and had the same issue with respect to row vs. stitch gauge, since it has a yoke where the stitches run horizontally, and then you pick up off of it vertically for the shoulders and the lower back. FWIW, I got as close as I could to gauge and then just followed the pattern instructions for row count instead of measurements. In other words, my measurements were a little bit larger than the pattern, since my row gauge was bigger than specified. (I shared your concern about the sleeves being too tight if I followed the measurements.) I will say, it's been working out really well so far! Good luck with your Moonset!
Ooh you are back!! As we say in Koreans, 고생 많았어요 at your new job! Omg it’s getting really sticky humid warm in Korea so I really appreciate you resisting the heat… but don’t want you to get heatstroke! so I don’t mind hearing AC in the background 😉
I’m wrapping up a crochet project (an engagement skirt set for my cousin) but waiting for more yarn to arrive. I was going to make the Best Beret by JamesNWatts but the yarn I bought doesn’t meet gauge. So I cast on another Tolsta Tee instead. Should be finished with the increases today. Hopefully that’s finished by the end of this week since I was just picked for a test knit by KnitRohi. Excited for that but I don’t like to have too many projects going at once.
I’ve got second sock syndrome hardcore. I swear I have about 8 single socks hanging around, so sad 😂. Only socks I have knitted a complete pair of is one pair of baby socks.
I also tend to crochet more in the summer, but instead of bags, I go for bucket hats and this year it’s been all about the granny square bucket hats, I made like three. And I started a granny square vest, but my crochet mojo has somehow ended already, so that will be for next year. Anyways, I’m knitting a v neck vest (also with panels and seaming) and it has been very gratifying! I love being creative with using up my scraps and luckily for me, the end result slaps :))))
My straps were too long on my June top, i decided to fix it and it was a quick fix. I’m so glad I did because I’ve worn that top the most this Summer, such a good fit. I did get to fix it before the I- cord edge, which I still haven’t done and I still have worn that top a lot because I love it!
All you need to go outside - keys, wallet, sock project 😂
Sometimes i forgo the wallet to make room for the sock 🫢
Mel makes stuff would be my hopeful entry to your interviewee list😊
Yes! I was going to suggest her but wanted to see if anyone else had first!

I totally agree on the yarn/needle size thing - I don't enjoy knitting with heavier yarn either.
For the striped - since you have extended the width of the armholes on the back, you could alternatively reduce the width by ‘steeking ’ out extra width there before seaming to the front.

I love the handle cup cozy! I get the whole drippy cup situation, so I'll definitely be making one for me. =)
💓Glad to see another episode!!

Starting my Monday off with a little bit of Jenny! Excited for a new podcast.

Omg that knitrohi testknit looks so fun I’m definitely jealousss
@@futurefiber I’m definitely excited. The Square Tee is on my make list because of you. But I guess the test knit will be first 😅

I had the same short straps/icord issue with my June top 😭 too lazy to undo and fix
I need a master’s dissertation on how to make sure straps are the correct length HOW DO PEOPLE DO IT

Nooo I love the intro😢😢😢😢
I would love to hear you have a knitting chat with Leena from another knitting pod I think that would be fun
While binging your videos I am catching up with my temperature blanket because I have fallen behind
Your just a girl who’s funny & creative ❤
