I’m a 70 yr. old & losing things everyday. Glad to know young people do that too….In the freezer 😂 Thnx for the belly laugh!!! Enjoying your podcasts & editing style 🤗
Gauge is a suggestion in my knitting and I take it under consideration. The fact that you never follow gauge is brilliant and imo means you are more of a right brained knitter. Bravo! Own it. I admire your C’est la vie approach to life. I hope you’ll embrace that and never berate yourself for it. ❤
Girl, how much I relate to everything that's happening 🤣 it feels like it's me sitting there and rambling about consequences of my rebelliousness 😅 can't wait for the next episode 💓
Your channel has become my favourite knitting podcast! I have been binge watching all of your videos since last week. ❤❤❤ Btw, I love the split mittens. I always wanted to knit a pair with removable top. Thanks for sharing the pattern!
I discovered this channel when I got the stomach flu, so thanks for keeping me company as I recover (': also, I like how the steeked cardigan looks! it has a playful yet feminine look to it. see you next ep
Yay, I'm also doing a no-buy this year and am so excited to watch your videos about it! (My final decision to do it came when I saw how much more I'd spent on eating out than I had spent on groceries...) I've also been noticing a lot of people doing yarn no-buys this year, and I don't think it's just the algorithm reading my mind, but then who knows. Wishing you good luck and firm resolve! Also I love your idea of flashing bits of stash in place of an acquisitions segment!
Also doing a no buy and shop my stash this year. I have 1 exception and it’s yarn for my year long class( just to keep the yarn the same but I think I got enough for the blanket). Also shopping my library, I chose 12 patterns to make this year from patterns I already own.
I just discovered your channel today and I’m like wow, is this (the better knitter, funnier version of) me: - same name - lives in NYC - is a programmer - is 28 - the limited too joke really hit LOL I admire your no buy goal this year, especially since I feel like it’s consuming is always so tempting in NYC! Hope you have a great 2023, and look forward to more of your knitting rambles :)
No buy is definitely a trend. But a good idea possibly. Reckless purchasing is definitely bad. I just exchanged a sweater’s quantity and replaced it with two new yarns and a pattern. I already don’t like one of the yarns. So no buy is a good idea. At least for me. Clothes, bags, yarns, patterns, shoes, etc.
I can't remember if it was this video or the previous one you mentioned the armholes on the Camisole No. 5 on (I watched them all in quick succession!) and you've probably already worked it out since you've done one before, but the number of stitches she asks you to pick up in pattern seems to be pretty wild for everyone who knits it. I found every other stitch instead of 3 of every 4 to work out so they don't gape so low.
You would maybe like a Fleegle heel. It’s kind of like a toe-up version of a heel flap and gusset but you don’t have to pick up stitches and it is done with increases for the instep and short rows for the heel. Fits even better than the heel flap and gusset for me. Andrea Mowrey’s sock patterns generally have fleegle heels. Also, if you knit up that aran weight on 4s it will be a bit stiff like your swatch - might be a really interesting twist on the petite knit. I just knit up Kineco Yuki’s People sweater in aran weight which has a somewhat similar kind vibe with panels of different stitches but chunkier, of course. It’s a free download on Ravelry.
I’m having a low buy year. I am reducing my stash by 50% or more and I have 3 possible purchases planned. I may not make any purchases, but there are 3 specific situations that might need more yarn to complete. I am determined this year to stick to my plan. First time for everything 😁
First of all, the pink hat is darling on you ! Second.....can you please document in detail your Igrid sweater ? I want to knit it but I hear the sleeve instructions are a bit sketchy as far as decreases go : ) Maybe I will cast on with you ! Just need to clear one sweater off the needles first : ) Also the Crea bea podcast gal is launching a cable sweater on the 27th ! I really want to knit that tooooooooo
I definitely don't have it in me to commit to a no buy year 😅 but I'm at least doing a no buy quarter where I'm buying no yarn January to March 💖 Also I've been really enjoying your videos!!
With all the free patterns and libraries I cannot justify purchasing a pattern, and I don't like this burden is put on me by designers to purchase their designs like I don't know you don't trust me with your - making a living- 😅

The acquisition from stash idea is so fresh!

You did a great job of making a cardigan. Love the shawl collar

the surgery you did on that ranunculus turned out great 👏🏻
Your balaclava is so fun! And the scarf looks great on you, the color is gorgeous!
In the freezer lol ! I lost my dogs bandana which I crochet especially for him, and I live alone don't have anyone else to blame

This is quite possibly life saving advice TY 😭

I am in my late 30s and I wear my knitted balaclavas!!! But maybe not in hot pink? 😅
you should make vlogs! you are so entertaining and i love your videos and knits
Ooo that’s a fun idea!
You should try Knit Companion on your iPad. It highlights the row of the chart you are working on, which makes it really easy to keep track.
