  • This significant home, occupying over 1.5 hectares of coastal land enjoys panoramic northern views over the Gulf Islands and across to Auckland city. It is located within the gated precinct of Matiatia Estate and is only minutes from Oneroa village. The 550sqm, four bedroom dwelling, dramatically sited above a pristine bay, is accessed via a meandering driveway through Mediterranean-inspired grounds of 150 olive trees and Italian stone pines. There's a citrus grove, an enclosed vegetable garden, a flat lawn area and stone bordered pathways to a variety of seating areas, each enjoying expansive views.
The architecture is a stunning combination of soaring spaces, high glass elevations and concrete strength, with seamless flow to the expansive decks, heated pool and spa from the enormous lounge with its two open fireplaces. There's a dedicated library with gas fire too. On the south side of the home is a sheltered courtyard with a large open fire place, separate pizza oven and gas heaters enhancing year-round evening entertainment. The pathway to the bay is through beautiful native tree species with abundant bird life. There's a heli-pad adjacent to the main entrance.
Matiatia Estate is a secured precinct just minutes from the Island's ferry terminal and the main village of Oneroa. Within a five minute drive are quality vineyards, sophisticated food and white, sandy beaches.
This world class property epitomises New Zealand coastal living at its very best.

I loved staying on this island many years ago. It has gotten much more expensive since then. I would love to go back one day.

Wow I had a mate who used to stay on this island when he was young. That made him stay forever in NZ although he was an Aussie.

You'll have a better chance of achieving it if you get rid of the "asap" part. Don't worry. The world won't run out of beautiful homes.
