Thanks all is well! I took a little break while school was out didn’t want to fish with the crowds but I’m getting back in the mix. Hopefully I can make it out to Calaveras soon I heard it’s been great also!
Thanks for checking it out! Rod and reel is a penn fierce 4 combo 8000 from Academy for right under 100 bucks, 25 pound mono , double drop leader with size 6 eagle claw circle hooks.
What area were you parked at? I have a sister that lives there in ARANSAS PASS down the road from the water park area and was wondering if it was anywhere close to there.
@@Fishin4Trophies thanks heading out to visit her this weekend from Los Fresnos always fishing South Padre area; look forward to checking Aransa’s area out. Thanks for the info; and great videos by the way.
Small fish is actually my specialty, and you just gave me a idea to go micro fishing on the river. Next trip is either this Thursday to Port A surf fishing or taking the boat to Calaveras. Depends on the tide, wind and rain. It’s a 50/50
First time watcher and want to say I enjoyed it and keep up the good work. Love the fact you’re showing people there’s no need to resort to super expensive gear. Also, is that green braid or mono?
@@robertmercer469 Yes you can! But the meat is super soft, bloody and oily. I don’t know anyone in person that eats them but there’s plenty of recipes online for cooking. Poor man’s tarpon (ladyfish) is one heck of bait.
Those Ladyfish were HUGE!! 😂
I definitely caught my PB Ladyfish that day!
Great job brother!! You nailed it...perfect Red Fish!
Thanks, other than the wind it was great day!
looks like fun! i like to fish at conn harbor..lots of goodies to catch and release!
It was much fun! I ended up at Conn Harbor I was catching small sand trout , small croaker and more ladyfish there that night.
Good to see you’re back making videos. I was concerned something had happened to you. Calaveras has been great lately!
