    Since it seems like a lot of people assume the Gobi desert did not exist then, it for a certainty did. The desert environment was a major reason why so many fossils were preserved so well, and sometimes mummified. Also there is geographical, geological, and fossilized plant evidence. If you want to know more just googling late cretacious mongolia should give you some info!

    It was good to use Parasaurolophus cytocristatus as a Charonosaurus whose upper part of the head has not yet been discovered.

      The para represents the Saurolophus in this. Currently it's the closest looking model we have.

      Yes it is! But we're not on the desert one all the time. The server has rotating rosters to represent different ecosystems and separate playables for each one. The desert one is Alpha. discord.com/invite/projectgenesis

      The server is Project Genesis. It has rotating rosters to represent an ecosystem around that time and place. Each roster has different playable dinos and the rest are locked. The map is Grimm Expanse if you'd like to see your Arco in single player. discord.com/invite/projectgenesis

      Agreed! It could use a little graphics update but it's not too bad. Or it would be nice if Gondwa had a sand dune section near the arid area.

    70 milions years ago when there lived dinosauria,... there were no desert, no? :D What eat those dinosauria, sand?

    • @5CatsPlay
      @5CatsPlay  6 месяцев назад

      There was desert, scrublands, and oasis. For this roster we separate dry season species and wet season ones. The larger species like Deinocheirus lived in a more wet environment. For the playability factor we migrate them during the wet season into the Oasis's.

    • @jacobcox4565
      @jacobcox4565 6 месяцев назад

      There were definitely deserts back then. The world wasn't just a giant swamp during the Cretaceous. To answer that last question, ask yourself what modern animals in the desert eat, it's likely pretty similar to what dinosaurs in the desert would've eaten.
