Looks like the tractor is working great and the water system is genius

Glad you repurposed the trailer. With things getting expensive and scare its important to give old things new life on the homestead. Keep up the good work!

I'm glad I finally found something to do with that trailer as well! 😆

Good use for an old camping trailer. Super lightweight and its seeing some function again, which is always nice to see

Looks great!! I love seeing people repurpose what others would deem unusable. The sheep will do well with your care.

Well done. I had my tractor made by a local welder and he left significant gaps and my lambs keep getting out. I bought some more cattle panels and cut them up to add a skirt, but they still get out near the wheels, it's also really hard to move now. I'm likely going to try your design next.

I haven't had any issues with them getting out after altering my initial design idea. I now don't lift the skirts when moving it unless the vegetation is particularly tall or the terrain warrants it. Even the front is lifted automatically with how tow rope is configured. Maybe I will do a further follow-up video to show how the unit is working now. I'm not sure if you have seen my original video showing how I built it but here is the link if you hadn't. ruclips.net/video/MeWhKbcU9Fg/видео.html Good luck on your design!👌

Could you attach the sheep tractor to the back of the watering trailer so you could move them at the same time? You could the n get rid of the 100ft of hose.

It is possible but it would add at least another 500 lbs. to the unit significantly reducing the mobility of the tractor which would eliminate its use on any terrain that wasn't flat or completely smooth. Good suggestion though. 👌

What about putting a tarp on a corner for shade? We are headed towards summer temps today. I hope this summer will be mild in CA. No looking forward to weeks of 100 degrees.

That is probably the next iteration as we head into summer. 👌

Are the skirts there so the wheels can pivot?

Can the water get to hot in the summer time for the sheep drink the water?

I was thought the water might get too hot but surprisingly it doesn't get much past warm.

What about shade? That would never work in the south where I'm from without shade. I like your videos!

It averages 100°f here all summer so I will probably bungee up a tarp or something to provide a bit of shade. I haven't completely figured out that out yet but the heat of summer is on the way.

With the sheep being in a clean position every day, I'm thinking the chance of worms/ parasites not an ocer concern? I'm in Queensland Australia 🇦🇺

Internal parasites do not seem to be an issue. We do not de-worm or use antibiotics on them.
