Honestly if I were a member of congress, I would go out of my way to make sure I knew how to pronounce the names of anyone I'm referring to because the thought of embarrassing myself by messing up their name sounds like such an avoidable headache.
That would mean they'd have to put in some effort instead of just having other people write their speeches for them.
and if i recall correct, hershey was a MEDAL OF HONOR recipient for conspicuous gallantry in the Korean War.
That autumn comment was insane
Fascinating to know that Michael Bennet thinks about the Roman Empire at least 3x a week.
Dang, McCarthy was pretty cool with that comment about not being in the Senate 💀
i love binging these, thank you! and the references you add in as support are super solid. can we get an interview with who puts these together??

Turns out yall are fans of cent sore ships as well.
Tiffany's rant about the World Naked Bike Ride takes the cake.
Why did he think the attorney general of the United States would get involved?
What's scary is Tiffany wants the AG to enforce Tiffany's religious proscriptions, and a future Republican AG might do so.
Our elected representatives are so mind-numbingly, shockingly, humiliatingly stupid. It bodes terrible for the state of American democracy and for our global prestige. When our members in the US Legislature cannot even pronounce "Hiroshima" - the name of a major Japanese city and one of the ones that we dropped the atomic bomb on, or spell "Baton Rouge" - the name one of our own major cities, we have a terrible problem of governance.
Double t on Baton Rouge isn't that bad
