Restrain3D Nutt3R this is no where even close to a masterpiece. it's a fine song to listen to and kind of catchy, but a masterpiece is something that sounds unique and does things that no other songs have done before that also makes you feel pure emotion. This song is just some vocals and a few drops with basic background chords and vocal chops. Hundreds of songs have followed this exact same formula before. I know I sound like an old fuck with this comment, but I just hate to see words with such powerful meaning used so lightly.

I don't think that's 100% true. Both are similar, but that doesn't mean one is a subgenre of another.
That's pretty much how subgenres work. They stem from a previous genre's characteristics while changing something up from it.
Dancehall is just a moombah/reggae-infused style of music that's gained a lot of headway in the pop scene, owing to artists like Major Lazer. Hell, Shape of You has some dancehall influence to it. Nothing unique about this song in that regard.
