It is so nice to finally watch a clear, precise kit review based on real world use, over a decent amount of time - (So fed up of reviews where people take it out the bag and go "yeah, it looks good") This was really useful to watch, enjoyable and also the perfect length video. Interesting to watch your review. I've had my Rab Kinetic Plus for a couple of years now and think it's a fantastic jacket. So comfortable to wear; stretchy, quiet and very breathable. I do find walking into very heavy rain the water comes in around my face and my chest gets damp, wearing a buff helps that. I agree with your comments about the front pockets. However it doesn't put me off the jacket at all. I would certainly recommend it as it's so comfortable and light - a waterproof softshell 👍

I do like that hood with the peak.. like you say a proper wired brim that stays put is so important & it's a shame so many companies seem to throw it on as an after thought. there's a woman's version with 2 napoleon pockets.. what about us! haha

Yes it really needs the DWR treatment regularly, think the knitted fabric really soaks it up. A

Love the look of this jacket, but the hood has really put me off as I wear a baseball cap when it rains. Also, I hate Velcro cuffs, I always get mine converted to elasticated.
yep i prefer non absorbent cuff straps myself.
I have one of these jackets and the hood sits over a baseball cap no problem! Brilliant bit of kit

I wear a gore baseball cap that’s gore tex. The hood fits over a cap fine.

It's really breathable, not warm tho, and not tough , great for multi activity stuff but for full on storms and mountain hard use the shell is still better I'd say. A

Hi it is, but so thin it cools in wind easily , or heats up really quickly in direct sun.

It's great for hi energy multi activity stuff in changeable weather but for winter, tough mountain or continuous rain it's not tough enough.

Yes, I just treated with Grangers spray on which worked well. A
