Just to clarify, the mission does start with a brief encounter against Tyranids but switches to Chaos for the latter majority of the mission. I’ve had a few requests for Chaos solo runs with the Assault because people struggle against them more than Tyranids. Shield Minoris enemies tend to ignore your Jump Pack landing and hit you hard while you’re still recovering, so I’ve adjusted my build. The Jump Pack serves more as a gap closer for Majoris enemies rather than for clearing trash. Also, a very unfortunate ammo crate location for the final phase. Probably would've went a lot smoother if it wasn't at the last objective.
The dodge centric playstyle is just one build you can choose, leaning into the bottom tier perks while using a Chainsword. It's possible to lean into a Thunderhammer build instead, which does not revolve around the bottom talents.
@@SFuruli yes and at that point it becomes a slightly less shiddy thunder hammer + less damage gunstrike + less dodge window class. Thanks for... contributing nothing?
@@avalokiteshvara113 Thyre just trying to help. Also this is another note for the devs. It should be addressed how there is no fluidity in the skills chosen.
@@avalokiteshvara113 You don't get a lower Perfect Dodge timing window by switching to a Thunderhammer since that's a starting perk. You don't need to opt out of +50% damage Gun Strikes either since the competing perks don't increase Thunderhammer damage directly. In fact, you can use this build with a Thunderhammer if you so wish. If you find that you can't dodge during an attack, just parry instead. Of course, some weapons are better in certain situations, which is why we're allowed to switch weapons before events and bosses.
Thank you! Someone in another video wanted to see a Chainsword Assault in action. Chainsword is also much faster than the THammer which is great for Chaos who tend to shoot you way more than swarm you.
@@zakphillips976what, no. Its literally possible with any class. If youre first gunstrike puts an enemy into a dazed or executable state, you can just put the bastard out of his misery with a second gun strike. Its much faster than an execution but you have no .
Once an enemy is in the glory kill state (referencing Doom), past a certain damage threshold you'll be able to execute them with gunstrike. This applies to any class.
Thank you so much! I could, but it'll likely take some time because I think people have seen enough of the Melta and I don't have other weapons leveled up yet. Somewhere down the line, for sure!

a gun strike and dodge centric class having the slowest but coolest melee weapon with the thunder hammer is a hilarious prank from the devs!
It reminds me a lot of Cpt Falcon in Smash Bros. He has a lot of speed to be placed at the right location to bring down the hammer.

I believe that you would make a fine chapter master. Well fought brother.
Thanks for the kind words!
Fun to watch as always! Question: Why pick the chainsword?
Thank you!

You know shit is fucked up if Dray of all people goes down..
I do die in this game and it's usually due to Hero to Zero stunlocks..
why use the chainsword instead of hammer against chaos?
It's faster and can chase teleporting Chaos enemies a bit easier. Also wanted to try out different melee weapons for the Assault at the time.
Hi great video , did u notice bots doesnt do damage tò the boss, that so strange
Yeah they're usually quite useless, so no surprise there lol.
Assault with sword? Straight up heresy.
Can i ask how you double gun strike after a parry? thx.
One is gun strike, then he executed with another gun strike. I believe it’s a perk that lets you execute with gun strikes.
If the gunstrike takes the enemy to executable state then you can do a gun strike finisher. I don't think it's an assault perk.

The reason this happens on assault more is the 50% gun strike damage.
Man i rly hate that green blobs from neurothrope, if one hit it just stunlock and u can doge 😢
A lot things stunlock you in this game.. Yeah it's quite annoying.
@@xstreamdrayTo many for now, jet chaos just tp away in midlle of my combo
Oh it's the worst when they teleport away from your charged Hammer attack that's just about to land!
Which faction is that silver looking armor color?
I heard that this looks like the Grey Knights. It's the Leadbelcher color.
You are cool. Do you plan play more vanguard with knife in the future? Hope to see gameplay from you.

Yeah baby!
The fencing sword is bugged and it actually parries like a balanced sword. Try out the balanced one, you will like it more until they fix it :)
It has 1 speed though
Thanks for the tip! May be I'll see if it makes any difference!
Give the hive tyrant the mission a go if youre tough
It's the mission I usually farm to get everything to max level. I can post those if you'd like to see em!
As sad as it is, many videos confirm that the hammer is simply not the way to go with this class...
Absolutely not the way to go, too slow, you can have the most powerful weapon, but if you cant even swing it, its not a weapon
Basically, the TH is too slow that the Tzangors can pile up on ya?
If the seismic chain perk worked i think it would be alot better
@@frofroify Would be better if melee damage was enough to restore contested health.
They gave all the cool shock perks to the other melee class that doesn't use the thunder hammer lol
