Definitely need MxM on again, this episode was great fun. Non gaming talk for a second but their glow up since joining AEW/RoH... massive both in the ring and out.
I didn't get to play all that many games that came out this year, so I cant give a GOTY award, but I can give an AEWArcadeGOTY award because listening to the pod (all credit to Evil Uno) convinced me to get Balatro and play it allllllllllll the time. Shoutout to you boys for also making me want to check out other games I wouldn't even think twice about after watching trailers; 1000xResist sounds very cool and I want to play UFO 50 at some point. My year was DOMINATED by Red Dead 2, and I know I'm late on it but has to be one of the best games of all time
Gonna be honest I mainly played older games this year but because of chugs and his streams I have a lot of favorites 😂 out of the new releases this year I actually played it would be this: 1. Moonstone Island on the Nintendo switch (it technically came out last year on PC but I don't have a PC and couldn't play it so it counts I have put in over 100+ hours into this game. I never thought I'd like a card based battle system but it's addicting). It's like a mix between three different genres: farming, creature collecting and an RPG. 2. Creatures of Ava on the Xbox oml I am so in love with this game. I come back to it every now and again just to listen to the music. The way they incorporate the musical elements into catching the creatures is fantastic. Ugh and the story! So good!! It's a creature collecting game with some intricate puzzles as well. 3. Indiana Jones and the Great circle. If it has Troy Baker in it I'm going to play it, it's just that simple. Also I'm a nerd so anything archeology and pop culture I'm into. This is one of the reasons I got an Xbox and boy am I glad I did. 4. Prince of Persia: the lost crown on Nintendo switch. This one is thanks to chugs AND the game awards. As someone who is kind of prone to rages but also is chronically ill and struggles with using my hands a platformer like this can be so hard but the accessibility features on this game has been the best I have ever seen. (Other than subnautica below zero that one is also very good you can tailor it to how you want to play the game). Ubisoft should be proud they are my favorite studio after all. And I just have to shout out ff7: rebirth, black myth, and eldin ring: Shadow of the erd tree even though I didn't play these games myself Chugs showing them in their entirety and playing them to perfection I got to experience them in a different but still exciting way. Such great games!
Fallout London. Yes, it's a mod for Fallout 4 but it's a FULL total conversion immersive amazing Fallout game set in the UK and beautifully British. I loved every single minute of it, it's a masterpiece and is without a doubt my favourite game of the year. And it was FREE. A lot of references may get lost on US players but it's such an achievement and so awesome.
Hey guys! Still lovin Witcher 3. I'm getting all the question marks in Novigrad and Velen. I call it "Answering Questions" I just green marker one to the next for hours.
Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is my game of the year. I hope you have Samoa Joe or Hikaru Shida to disuss Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii. Shida is close to finishing the entire series on stream.
MxM should be on more often! For me, my picks would be... GOTY: FF7: Rebirth, Music: FF7: Rebirth, XBox: CoD BLOPS 6, Playstation: FF7: Rebirth, PC: Marvel Vs. Capcom Infinite and Beyond (Unofficial Maximilian Dood mod), Nintendo: The Legend of Zelda - Echoes of Wisdom, Personal Pick/Shout Out: Core Keeper on XBox (I just found it this year and played almost 200 hours!) Heh. Thanks as usual for the podcast I look forward to every single week. Please never stop? Haha Happy Holidays, Happy New Year, and be well guys!
Love MxM but I much prefer the normal format. Chugs seemed out of place as well that he would prefer the normal style as I would. But as a huge fan of the podcast of course I am here to watch
Not a new game but dayz has been my favorite game this year. Didn’t even know about it til a few months ago when I saw some gameplay footage. Absolutely hooked now
YOU HAD ME AT MXM
Same Ian ricabonni would probably say this is his favorite episode of All elite arcade😂.
Props to Mansoor for shouting out the very underrated and little known Japanese indie Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree
This is possibly the greatest shout out I've ever heard
Such a fun episode to watch. :)
FACTS.
Mansoor is so well spoken, man.

Oh and game of the year? Anything but Shadow of the Erdtree, it's not a game it's an expansion 😑
Really great episode. Love having MXM on here
The hands comparison was shocking ha. Either Uno does have small hands, or Mason has big ones, or both.
Great episode. Thanks!

I love the energy that MxM bring
my love for Midra and his theme is equal to Mansoor, right there with you brother

Hell yeah I'm locked in these are the all Stars 🤩
Great video
I haven't seen all of the UFO 50 games, did you just sneak Cheetahmen in there to see if we'd notice?
Evil uno sir, could you bring back 4 play? It has gotten me through some rough times.
We gonna ignore the Trails in the sky 1st remake coming our way?
I'm not sure on Game of the Year, but Geoff Nightly is my Person of the Year!
Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is my game of the year. I hope you have Samoa Joe or Hikaru Shida to disuss Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii. Shida is close to finishing the entire series on stream.
FF7: Rebirth was my game of the year! But that might be because I haven't played Astro Bot yet :)
When are you guys gonna get Geoff Gearrett on the podcast?!
More MxM please
gonna try 1000xRESIST
MxM are the best
Came here for mxm
Game of the year is clearly Astro Bot.
MxM should be on more often!

Balatro for GOTY.
This episode was great, just wish the audio could’ve been a little better
