Just purchased my 2023 Bolt EUV LT Red Line package with leather perforated seats and the red contrast stitching. Also came with heated and ventilated seats, which come in handy in the heat of Southern California. With my costco and uber driver discounts of a total of 2500 dollars, it came to a total of 29,134.00 dollars, which I believe is a great deal for this car, especially when I add the 7500 federal tax rebate in 2024. 4:53 for concerns about that particular redline edition infotainment screen, it looks like a quality issue; either bad display panel or cable connection. I have a 23' Premier, the display is crystal clear and sharp as good as high-end tablet screen.
@@MetzTech Thanks. I also agree with you the Lane Keep Assist (LKA) is phenomenally useless. I have a 2022 EUV Premier trim and I love everything about it. I can't figure out how to set it up for charging in off peak hours only. I do believe that it's capable of that instead of me plugging and unplugging it. I'm retired and don't drive that much so I get by with 120 volt charging. I have a dryer plug quite accessable should I need a quicker charge.
Hi have a ‘22 bolt was using 120 power in the beginning, had for 1 year already. Using 120 it takes sooo long to charge doesn’t work right. For me super off peak is midnight to 8:00am it would charge start charging at 9:00pm or 10:00pm or if lower it would charge immediately. Best to get a 16 amp charger for the dryer plug. If using the dryer should get a Y adapter. Unplugging too many times, the house plug will melt. Good luck 🍀
Go to the energy screen -> Charging tab -> Charging Options. Then go to "Utility Rate Charging" and you should be able to select off-peak and set the hours. Also you probably want to enable "Location Base Charging" so it only applies when you're at home.

Great comparison! I have a 2023 EUV Premier that I bought just last month. I think the seat belt chime was changed due to a new test by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. They require a certain volume when the seat belt is unbuckled. Along the same lines, I noticed in the settings menu that I can only turn the chime down so far. There’s a minimum stop about 1/3 of the way up. I’d like to turn it down a bit if I could. Does your ‘22 have this?
I just bought a 2023 bolt ev after looking at all your reviews and the screen looks normal to me (but I haven’t experienced the previous years bolt). Maybe it’s the screen protector that comes pre installed from the factory that makes the colors look washed out
Thanks Metz. I found a local dealer that has a redline black coming in. Includes the illuminated charge port add on too. Very interested. I drive an Acura TLX which is a very nice car. But with gas in LA again almost $8 per gallon it’s just time to get rid if the ICE. Thank you for these awesome reviews Metz!
I don't understand why the screen is tilted towards the windshield, it looks like might be hard to see when it's sunny... ugh that's something that can't be changed easily and I can't wait 1 year to see if they change it.
Mrs. D. We have a 2023 EUV . Not red line. Our screen is able to be adjusted as I prefer less brightness at night. Also colder weather not a plus but our driving is not a far range. Awesome videos .
You did a great job on your "homemade" Redline. I say go for it with the red stripe on the rearview mirrors and the racing stripes on the tires. As for the center console screen, could GM have been listening to prior complaints that the screen was difficult to see because of the angle, so they decided to try to dim it in some way? You mentioned the blue filter that computers have, so maybe they did something like that to try and increase the screen's visibility during daylight. That's all I can think of. Thanks for the great comparison! I'm still waiting for you to trade yours in for GM's official Redline Edition. Have a great day!
I think the reason why your screens are different is from the sun and sound package, it says it has a “10.2" diagonal HD color touch-screen” I don’t know if this is different from last year’s model
To me unless you really need the all black leather interior, the Redline package really is kinda pointless. It's essentially just a color option for $500. And those wheels are just the same ones as on the premier or the LT convenience, just painted another color
What you're describing with the deep blacks and saturation vs. the grayish background in your screen sounds like the difference between LCD and OLED... I wonder if they changed the display tech for 2023?
Always a possibility, but I highly doubt it. It’s not necessarily that it isn’t getting true blacks on 2022 it’s just that background image has a gradient to it, intentionally. The 2023 is just a black image. The color part is just weird lol

I have the Premier EUV 22' Release edition, and that 23' Redline Version seems to be exactly like mine without the "Red Lines" (which it would be weird, since my car is Red). I even have the same Black glossy wheels with the textures. I guess I'll keep my 22 version for a lil while until I see a major upgrade.

Kinda wild that Chevy can't even paint the red on the mirrors. I liked the redline at first glance but I'm not sure if just having a sticker, slightly different rims, and red badging makes the price jump worth it. As far as the screen, neither would bother me. Maybe if I got used to one and then switched to the other, I could see it. But coming from neither, I'd get used to whichever one I drive.
