  • Truckee Trails Foundation re-did an old moto trail and created the new Happy Face Trail. It's the closest we've come here in Truckee to a modern flow trail, and it's super fun (even when dusty.).

Awesome looking trail. Can't wait to try it. On a side note I can't wait for the trend of sound hubs to pass. I miss the days of quiet trail riding. All that buzzing kinda kills the vibe of being in nature on a bike. If I want a bunch of noise I'll just ride a dirt bike lol.

Just rode this last weekend. I was with a big group and we also did Wood Splitter. I loved how mellow the climb was and how much fun the descent was. It's the kind of trail where you can build your skills and confidence and go as fast as you're comfortable. Great video!

Thanks! You're right - they're both such great skill building trails, and it's so fun to go fast downhill and not worry too much about people coming up.

This looks like a great trail. How long is it and is it a loop?

It's pretty short, just about 4 miles. It's got a climbing trail and a descending trail, so makes a loop/lollipop with a tiny bit of a stick.
