Even the last 5 of 7 Marvel projects, Deadpool, Agatha, X-Men 97, What If , Loki, were popular among fans and critics .
@@dancedj2k2 I disagree because it’s been pretty clear between both fans and the reviewers that after such a strong streak of films, after no way home things did go down hill with creativity, writing and cgi. I wouldn't be surprised if it is a key point of the "war", and that those scenes actually come from the first half of the movie. We got Red Hulk and a character involved with Gamma experiments that definitely has a bone to pick with Ross, yet who also started his own international espionage syndicate after becoming a super genius in the comics. I read somewhere that Ross's call on Cap involves adamantium. Well, Celestial corpses are rich in all sorts of exotic resources, Nowhere was literally a mining facility to excavate whatever a Celestial's brain is made of, but I'm going to guess they straight up just have a lot of adamantium in them (and probably just from having scratched the surface). Now... Because this is modern Captain America... I get the feeling they're going for a second coming of Winter Soldier. Where it's taking an actual hero veteran and putting them at odds with their own government, but also making real commentary. Winter Soldier was basically a reckoning with the modern security state; I feel like Brave New World is going to take a swipe at the excuses used to justify what are just proxy wars for resources. The man on the phone literally calls him out for putting on the costume but just doing the government's bidding at the end of the day... If that's not on the nose, idk what is.
To be honest, Thunderbolts* is the MARVEL project I am most excited for in 2024 even more that Daredevil or Cap4 (also I am looking forward to these too, a lot).
In terms of the visuals, I’d argue the darker palette of the thunderbolts trailer was intentionally pointing to sentry’s black and yellow design. The only pop of color was the yellow text while everything else was shrouded in a bit of darkness/gloominess. Might be nothing but I think it’s worth considering as an intentional stylistic/subtle messaging choice
Won't happen but talking about yellow: i want A.I.M. to return and wear their Comic accurate yellow beekeeper uniforms! 🤔🙏 Hydra comeback with the green/yellow uniforms would be a dream too?!
I love that explanation for the asterisk, that it's not the actual name of the team, it's just what Red Guardian wants the name to be but they don't have anything better yet.
I think the reason why Falcon didn't feel anything when he landed from that powerful g force is because his suit is vibranium and it absorbed all that impact
Adam makes a great point. The trailer felt so familiar and seems like just a good time. And the comparison with Guardians of the Galaxy made it click for me. This feels exactly like GotG. And to say again, this movie feels like just a good time. And all these actors are just so fun, I just love that Bucky gives the vibe that he is just so done with all of this. Red Guardian is just happy to do stuff again. Yelena is so bored and Florence Pugh is amazing. Ghost and Walker fit in greatly. And I am curious about Taskmaster. So feels like a good time and I am low key excited for this
I personally am *thrilled* that we’re getting Ghost back because Hannah John-Kamen is fantastic and she didn’t get to truly shine in that movie. Seeing her interactions already in this trailer has me so excited. And the way Black Widow ended, I had hope for Taskmaster to have a better future than the past she had, and I’m intrigued to see how she blends with Yelena and Alexei.

The trailer for Brave New World, is definitely cut like a Tom Clancey movie. Which is so damn attractive for me. I love the comedy, and fun. But this just brings me back to Winter Soldier. It looks like like a high speed, espionage thriller, and I am absolutely here for it.
2:25. When an airplane breaks mach speed and does that sonic boom there’s an air pressure that follows. That was basically the rush of air behind him when he landed that knocked everybody to the ground.

I don't think this group is odd in itself. They might all be loners but their literal strengths (three super soldiers) and skills (the super lady killers) are a very natural assault team. We have military, para-military and highly trained secret services here. And Ghost who will prove to be an ace in the hole.
This might be an obvious thing that everyone knows, but I think the guy in the hat in the "Brave New World" trailer was Samuel Stearns/The Leader, played by Tim Blake Nelson, reprising his role from "The Incredible Hulk."
