Thank you for creating such a lovely video for the world to see how beautiful Sydney harbour is. What I thought was amazing was it seemed like most of the harbour edge was pretty accessible to the public, which isn't the same for many cities, where industry and private residence blocks public access to the shore line.
Oh my gosh - this is incredible! Amazing work - I can appreciate the amount of time put into not only the walk, but post-processing this to look and sound so beautiful. It reminds me why I love Sydney so much
Wow, this was really beautifully done! Love the editing and soundscape. Fantastic use of a 360 degree camera to hold on focal points whilst continuously moving. What's next, A walk around Melbourne? Hobart to Launceston? The Daintree Rainforest? Pretty much do more :D
Guardian Australia Hey, that's great! You could start off along the eastern suburbs and beaches, walk through some suburbs along tram routes, down to st Kilda beach, up through the Botanic gardens into the city centre, weave through the city and some of its highlights, then walk up through the Carlton gardens, Melbourne Zoo and surrounding bustle of Fitzroy and Brunswick. Another suggestion following the nature theme would be to start out East walking along the Yarra river all the way into the city, then walk along The Maribyrnong River back out to the North West, or vice versa :)
If you're really feeling adventurous, the Te Araroa hike would be fantastic - Northern tip to the southern tip of New Zealand ... might take a while, though ;)
An amazing video - I ran this route several times (in pieces) during training for an ultra-marathon this year and it brings back great memories - I love it!
Nice work. Love the various sound effects. Great edits and love the spin effect after Sydney while on a bridge with tons of traffic. What 360 camera was used to record? And what was used to edit?
Thanks Shawn. The camera used was the Insta360 OneX. You can read about how it was made here: www.theguardian.com/technology/2019/jun/14/how-i-made-the-bondi-to-manly-hyperlapse
Hi Simon, glad you liked it! You can check out how Dave made the hyperlapse here: www.theguardian.com/technology/2019/jun/14/how-i-made-the-bondi-to-manly-hyperlapse
Hi mate, the track is called 'Planetary Dance', it's a brilliant piece of music available at the production music website, Premium Beat. www.premiumbeat.com/royalty-free-tracks/planetary-dance
such a pain that The Guardian and all Australia's media is based in NSW and the rest of the country is ignored, versions of this story were done multiple times last year, as was the "rock pools"
I could watch this all day repeatedly 😂, hats off to the effort you put behind this video.
I never thought you could walk from Bondi to Manly. Awesome
A mesmerising filmic showcase of our beautiful harbour city and beaches. Well done!

Very well done! Perfectly produced. Thank you.
Stunning. So glad I watched; thank you.
What an amazing effort. It's a fantastic walk, of course, but to be able to capture it all on video is amazing.

Amazing piece of artwork. Some of the images and music reminds me of parts of Koyaanisqatsi, an all-time favourite of mine.
Absolutely spectacular video!
What an amazing, amazing, amazing video. Well done

Hi Stewart, Thanks for the suggestions, we're hoping to do some more for sure...where specifically would you suggest in Melbourne?

A Masterpiece. Spent a decade in Sydney, an amazing city. Generalising, its people are not as amazing as Melbourne's people.

Shame that's your one takeaway from the vid Robert, any suggestions for a sequel??
@@GuardianAustralia i didn't even bother to watch it
This is a masterpiece. Melbourne is still better than Sydney though....😁
Bondi AGAIN , are you Guardian Australia or Guardian Sydney, YAWN !
Hi Robert, open to suggestions for future hyperlapses!
