Hey Everyone! Thanks for your support. Your viewership means a lot to a small somebody like me. "Passenger" was actually something I put together very quickly because I had a small time frame to do it and barely any resources. My background is that I do voice overs for a living but because I work so much I can never find anytime to work on my number one passion... filmmaking. So, with that open opportunity I decided to make a quick horror film and now we're here. :) With that said, I'm going to be releasing another short horror film again. This time with a little more narrative. I'm really excited about this project. So, keep checking back! Thank you! :)
very well done, i loved it. Another film proving that its not the actual jump scare that really freaks people out, its the suspense and eerie feeling you get when its building up and you think somethings about to happen. Great work!
This short wasn't particularly scary, but the build was so masterfully done that it was terrifying, even when there was nothing the viewers were aware they needed to be afraid of. Yes, the growl was a disappointment, but I can forgive one mistake in an otherwise flawless film.
@Brett Golightly Couldn't agree more. Also, that sounded less like a growl, and more like a person (or in this case, entity) trying to say something with a crushed windpipe or a broken neck. Both of those conditions create a sound like what the entity made. Maybe she was just trying to ask whether the cab was available!
@Brett Golightly are you the only one allowed an opinion? Your reply reminds me of a saying "people don't want to hear your opinion, they want to hear their opinion coming out of your mouth". I would say that saying is very apt in this situation
Maybe she thought you were an Uber. ;) Really though, VERY nicely done. I know I'll never stop in a deserted warehouse district in the middle of the night for a nap again....
Quite a creepy and interesting horror film. The storyline was believable (in a way) and it played off well, with a convincing main actor, and that ghost looked scary. The last scene was creepy and unexpected. You got talent. Keep up the good work.
MissFushi Hi I’m a new horror director and I’ve down a new bloody, shocking and scary short horror it would be great if you check it out! Ps if you a director as well I could give you some advice just let me know.
Jake ****SPOILERS, DON'T READ IF YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW*** If you pay close attention at the beginning to his conversation with the woman, then at the end, you can piece a possible conclusion together. He tells her how to cut her wheels to cause an accident safely, then hangs up. The woman in white happens, then we hear the continuation of the conversation. He says, "I was afraid you'd overdone the accident and actually hurt yourself, etc....." She claims to be fine & asks if he sure if someone will come after her. I concluded that they were staging an auto-accident for insurance fraud and she actually died and is now haunting him in his car. Either way, I thought the same thing about The Grudge movies, or more exactly, Ju-On. I said to myself, "Someone is a fan of, The Grudge or, Ju-On." besides me, of course. Amanda Heath
Jazz Walker Either way, I personally enjoyed this and hope to see more from you. The voiceover at the beginning is very old-school, I love it. It reminds me of Alfred Hitchcock and the other classics. I also like when a film has room for discussion and debate amongst the viewers. Best of Luck, Amanda Heath
I knew that there was a last spook coming, after the car started! Ny ways a superbly filmed movie, and very true acting by Patrick... Nice job Jazz!! Way 2 go....
This story reminds me of another story from my home town (Torreón, México); There's this boulevard and if you drive it at night you'd see an old-fashioned lady hitchhiking and if you stop and give the lady a lift, she would disappear from your car after some blocks.. BUT IF YOU DON'T STOP, SHE'D APPEAR IN THE BACKSEAT OF YOUR CAR AFTER SOME BLOCKS (AND PROBABLY KILL YOU) Legend has it that she died on her way to her wedding #UrbanLegend #MéxicoBárbaro
shit ur story reminds me of a similar scary story I heard in my hometown: there was a woman riding her way home at night and an old woman appeared asking her for a lift but she refused to. Later, she also found another one asking for a lift but this time it was a girl. The woman agreed. After riding for a few mins, the girl at the back asked her: "Why didnt you give the old grandma a lift back then?" The woman felt weird and turned her head back looking at the girl, only to find out the one riding with her is the old woman before. She then fell over, passed out and got taken to the hospital by someone else after that.
I used to commute from my hometown to a jobsite about 400 miles away in another state, on a weekly basis. After the site meeting and inspection, dinner at 9pm I would leave for home at 11pm and drove on the deserted interstate in the dead of the nite. The interstate is notorious and has its fair share of headless creatures, girl in white, werewolves and other urban legends enough to put chills down your spine. I know what what this feels like.
Great stuff. was not expecting her on the back seat at all. if anything, I thought she was gonna turn up at his window. I even tensed up for it. nicely played.
Great use of sound here (apart from the growls perhaps lol). You don't ruin your film by the heavy-handed use of generic, supposedly 'scary' music like so many others do. Good work.
Thank you. I thought I was one of few who noticed that aspect with all these RUclips shorts and a lot of mainstream horror. I'm a huge horror fan and I never see it commented on. I know they could have gone that route here and I'm glad they chose not too. They used it in small doses which makes the imagery more effective. In Halloween (1978), the creepiest shots of Michel Myers were accompanied by silence. There was no cheap sound cue telling you when to be scared.
This was sooooo damn eerie! The camera angle switching from the girl to the guy and then right back to the girl standing by his passenger side window with that disturbing wheezing/breathing, just creepy as hell!!!
I know this is an older horror short but it reminds me of an old urban legend out in Hawaii, where if you drove on this specific road and saw this woman walking on the side of the road you were meant to stop and offer her a ride, she'd accept it and after a bit of driving with her as your passenger she'd suddenly disappear. Again it's just an urban legend but if you didn't stop to pick her up then the next time the volcano would erupt your house would be in the path of the lava.
Nice, finally one of these that isn't overpowered by a cheap horror score and doesn't end in a predictable jump scare. Seriously less is more and I wish more directors making these got that. The best horror is unsettling imagery that you wouldn't want to see in real life (a great example is Jacobs Ladder). As soon as some music cue or loud bang is added over said imagery, the immersion is gone. It's fine to use it in small doses like you did here but so many go overboard with it. Would have rather seen the creature be some demon but otherwise, good job.
Really effective, Jazz. Made the hair on my arms stand up more than once. I've been working on a short idea primarily based in/around a car as well and you made really great use of the space. Did you mount a light on the ceiling of the car for the interiors or were you just using the dome lights? Got plans to shoot another horror short?
The build up was just awesome to watch. Yeah the growl of the woman was a bit disappointing but otherwise, it was a really good short film. I love the way that you managed to bring all of that tension and build up without the use of dialogue, something most films choose to heavily rely on. Anyway I’m rambling, it was a really great film and keep it up
This is a really good short film XD Overall, I thought it was really good and the lack of jump scares is appreciated. Also, have you done/will you do more short horror films?
The photography and sense of fear and dis ease was awsome. I was not too thrilled with the grudge-like other character. What I did like was the suspense and the acting was awesome. I was asking myself, here, late at night, wondering why I am watching this. It was good and scary until the end and that other character. It would have been more menacing with another scary creature or even a lone psycopath which are the scariest of creatures.
Beautiful. Sometimes only 1 actor and no dialogue is needed. Makes you wonder why people are willing to have their house cleansed of spirits but never think about their vehicles. 🎃🍫
this was actually one of the best short horror films i've seen in a long time but the guy should of locked his doors always lock your doors when you driving no matter what espicialy at night and if your goin to sleep without locking your doors like that guy did
I like every short horror movie that doesn't end with "the monster" jumping at "the main character" screaming. Nicely done!

+Jazz Walker I'll be watching and waiting! Thoroughly spooked!
+Jazz Walker Nicely Done Jazz, it was a quality film.
+Vaishakh Nair Thank you! It means alot.
wtf '-' fuck me 0.o very scary
Great job 😱🔪 loved every minute of it looking forward to more shore films from you :)
I've spent the last several hours watching short horror films on RUclips and this is the scariest one I've seen all night!!! Awesome!
search and watch "home invasion". that goes far horror than this one. ending music is also cool.
try Man on a Train
@@empresto7516so creepy 😮
Try Ignore it.
"Hello, could you inform me about what lenses were used in this amazing short film?"
Sometimes less is more. This is an example of that. Great storytelling.
Thanks for your kind words. :)
Indeed. Guy stops car to nap, car won’t start, scary lady. What story? 🤣
that is like my worst nightmare when i'm driving alone...
me too 😂
I can’t drive yet ☹️

Yeah. But imagine the car robbers at the middle of the night, I think ghosts are better. Much better.
very well done, i loved it. Another film proving that its not the actual jump scare that really freaks people out, its the suspense and eerie feeling you get when its building up and you think somethings about to happen. Great work!
FilmMaker13 IT was'int that scary
i agree 1000 %
Everyone says that. Is that your opinion or do you just copy people
Thanks for not resorting to a dumb jump scare at the end like so many do. Nice video. I liked it!
Well at least she was kind enough to knock first! Guess even ghosts need a taxi once in awhile!
Great work! The sound was very effective in driving the creep factor and you managed without relying on jump scares. Scary!
Stumbled upon this again. I loved it. Had to share it with my followers~again!
Nice work - good acting also - love the ending :)
I'm really used to horror aspects, but the ending suprised me. great job man! earned a sub :)
Thanks! I'm sure you were expecting a jump scare. Had to switch that up . ;)
That was fantastic! Scared the living daylights out of me. More, please!

Ok, this is really good. I've been watching a lot of horror shorts lately. This is easily one of the best.
Creepy! Awaiting your next horror short Jazz Walker! Subscribed.
Thanks! :)
Worth watching. It didn't aim to surprise or scare the shit out of you but actually tried to build over your nerves for suspense. Good work.
Maybe she thought you were an Uber. ;)
Really though, VERY nicely done. I know I'll never stop in a deserted warehouse district in the middle of the night for a nap again....
Right
Quite a creepy and interesting horror film. The storyline was believable (in a way) and it played off well, with a convincing main actor, and that ghost looked scary. The last scene was creepy and unexpected. You got talent. Keep up the good work.
Looooove this. I was so scared. Great thrills. That ghost creature was really creepy. The ending hit the spot. Well done!
Oh lord so spooky. I love this.
MissFushi Hi I’m a new horror director and I’ve down a new bloody, shocking and scary short horror it would be great if you check it out! Ps if you a director as well I could give you some advice just let me know.
well done, mister.
plus... that acting was better than the most RUclips short horror films
Very nice. I imagine he is being haunted by the girl he murdered?
Yeah that's what I was thinking! Maybe the trunk symbolizes how he hid her body in the trunk of his car?
Hey! Spoiler Alert!
Jake ****SPOILERS, DON'T READ IF YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW***

Everything is by design. ;)

Best of Luck,
Amanda Heath
The times I've slept in my car is always under a light and doors locked at all times.
It was creepy...Nice short film...I loved it....Thumbs up for your effort....😉🤗👍
Very spooky. The lack of jump scares is appreciated.
This is a minor nitpick, but at 2:55, the trunk is closed, even though it opened seconds before.
Darn it! Continuity is the real horror icon here.
Beautifully done. Like the lighting, colour tone, sounds, especially the choice of a gutteral growl rather than the more cliche squeak/shriek.
Awesome work man👌🏼👌🏼 this was awesome without any kind of horrifying background music. Nice work man👏👏👏
I knew that there was a last spook coming, after the car started! Ny ways a superbly filmed movie, and very true acting by Patrick... Nice job Jazz!! Way 2 go....
Professionally done. Just subbed.
+Eggnogonthebog Productions Thank you! Means a lot.
Amazing work! Great acting too!
Oh my goodness...this was really well filmed...amazing short...chills and shivers down the spine😰😰great work
Very good camera work. great transitions, acting and cinematography! The short story was visually well transported. Good Job!

Excellent work and really suspenseful!
Great little short. Really well put together and edited. Subbed.
Excellent. I love the J-Horror influence.
simple, clean short film. LIKED. keep it up Jazz! u can do it . . .
man that was awesome! good work!
For some reason I lost it at the end, it's just in the back of his car wheezing away like he's taking his grandparent for a ride XD
Great stuff. was not expecting her on the back seat at all. if anything, I thought she was gonna turn up at his window. I even tensed up for it. nicely played.

Creepy. Though the growl was kinda like a bad try to imitate Kayako.
Kayako is the ghost from The Grudge.
This is an excellent short film. But never parked on a deserted street because you will never know what happen till it's too late.
This was sooooo damn eerie! The camera angle switching from the girl to the guy and then right back to the girl standing by his passenger side window with that disturbing wheezing/breathing, just creepy as hell!!!
This was bloody awesome!! Great work!
It had fairly nice shots and tense that resembled movies, but the chick and the growl was very Grudge-like.
Excellent film! Intriguing and suspenseful. Bravo!
Well written and nicely executed!! loved this one!

Got plans to shoot another horror short?
Wrote you back on Insta! Honored to see you here man! haha.
Reminds me of the grudge. Great Job.. :D
What a true horror in so short time, great ,thanks.
WOAH!! Nice job!!
Really, really well done... :D keep it up, man!
Ultimately the sound was Scary... Well Filmed...
Věry nice short horror film! Hello from Athens Greece!
Wow! I'm very impressed nice work!
Ghosts need designated drivers too!
<コ:ミ
Nice I especially liked the fact u didn't go for the jump scare at the end I was readying myself though nice job

HOLY COW ITS THE GRUDGE SISTER
The grudge is the title of the movie
Kayako is the name of the girl
No originality whatsoever.
Good job!
I'm in the middle of it and I'm like, "Bro,get a taxi!"
This is a really good short film XD
Overall, I thought it was really good and the lack of jump scares is appreciated.
Also, have you done/will you do more short horror films?
Amazing cinematography I wàs GLUED
Really enjoyed this!
That was Amazing.I really liked it.
It's Kayako's missing sister!
Kris Mendez ưhat
wow such a precious pretty work
Fabulous work!!
great film man! the ending was perfect
Very good and one of the few where I'm taking the ghost's side. I don't know what he did to deserve this, but I feel like he had it coming.
The photography and sense of fear and dis ease was awsome. I was not too thrilled with the grudge-like other character. What I did like was the suspense and the acting was awesome. Nice idea and really good Quality.

Good work!!Love it!!!👏👏👍👍👍
Yes yes yes very creepy ! Well done 👏👏👏
at last, a sensible horror movie...RUN don't bother to check it
when you try to escape to the comment section but realize that ur on ur phone
HALP IT'S FOLLOWING ME 😨
Amazing. What'd you use to film this?
Amazing job!!
+Christian Arocho Thanks mate. Much appreciated.
Very cool. I liked that a lot.
That growl was hilarious😂😂😂 Actually I had a nightmare about Cupid years ago, and in my dream he/she was growling like that...😆😆😆😆😂😂
this was actually one of the best short horror films i've seen in a long time but the guy should of locked his doors always lock your doors when you driving no matter what espicialy at night and if your goin to sleep without locking your doors like that guy did
She locked them for him. ;)
Very creepy. Keep on making films!
Whoa, the sound in this was really good! What did you use?
Well, I dubbed almost 85% of the film. But the internal microphone on the Tascam DR-40.
@Jazz Walker I would like to know what old movie that bit of dialogue came from. Margo and the male voice talking about arranging an accident.
Not a lot of things put me on edge but this runs deep in one of my fears of driving alone at night 😨
sehr geil gemacht! :) 👍
Very nice! Hope you will do more :D
+felixhunt3 Hey there! Yes, I actually have another one coming real soon. :)
Jazz Walker
Nice! I´m looking forward to it :)
Why don't these cars in the horror movies simply start?
why do ugly people take selfies
You forgot Question mark (?) At the end
Actually, I believe that he was making a statement.
In that case he should use a period.
Watch cabin in the woods......it explains everything that happens and why in horror films!
Because it's illegal for cars to start right away in horror films
I liked it!
That's a Ford for ya
Nope. None of my Fords have broken down...they go hard and have never failed me👌
Fix Or Repair Daily, was what my dad used to say with his Ford
The radio was a very nice touch.
I like how it was not "jump scary". Keep up the good work
very good! nice job
