Mt Pop has a musicality on another level, literally with his movements he literally hits the rhythm perfectly throughout the entire round, even when he makes movements that are not so spectacular or flashy he continues to hit the beat.
As an older dude, I was fortunate to have lived in the SF bay area and every weekend the best of the breakers and poppers would battle fellow breaker crews in these types of battles in backyards during parties back in the early 90s. It was amazing to see in person and I'm glad it grew so the whole world can appreciate it.
MT POP has very extensive knowledge about dance, not only popping. He knew what he was going to do just by hearing the music. Very impressive. So proud of you 🎉❤

I’ve seen lots of comments about the performances of the champ not that special nor crazy enough to get that hype. But they just don’t understand how hard the playlist was to be dancing on. MTPop managed to kill all them beat with style & skill. Shout out to the DJ as well.
Spend some time to check out the original dance of each songs, you will be shocked when you find out how creative and resourceful the dancer is and how deep he understands the root of each song’s cultural background and the stories behind it. e.g. snake man move as the Indian element for the first song…
It's ok and deserved for any one of T, Rubix and MTP was the champion of this year but one of their battles would be legends. A battle of T and MTP was fired representing of an Indianised-Percussioned VIBE vs a Sino-Indo bending physical opponents. During a #2 round , they were fighting on a VIBE of oriental frequent beats: Shaking and Bending physical opponents.
I don't know how these competitions work, I just love watching all the different styles of dance. But the music for much of this doesn't seem like it meshes with this style of dance. He did a good job making it work, but with better music it would have had a bigger impact and shown off his skills more, I think.
Those who throw hate for having won pop are those who want the person from their country where he is fighting to win, in the case that he faces t the results would be a tie, even t himself said that mt pop won, the public did not vote sincerely, if the public is going to be like that then the winner will be voted not by talent but by favoritism.
