I also like Vanderbilt, but Avon Timeless (I received one) was "traumatizing" 😊
I couldn't believe this was a perfume, that's how bad I thought it was.
Oh, no!😕 On me, it’s challenging when you spray it, but the drydown is nice.
@@lukeparfums maybe I 'll try it again. Perception changes often 😀
Vanderbilt reminds me of Estée Lauder SpellBound and Red Door. Both are fantastic cheapies; Vanderbilt and Red Door.
@@luciaanghel3811 Well, if you hated it the first time, that probably won’t change. At least that’s the way I am.😅

Amazing! I’ll add them to the list in the pinned comment if that’s okay. Thanks for watching!🙂
Absolutely agree with the incredible value of Elizabeth Taylor fragrances. I appreciate your content!
Indeed. Thanks a lot!🙂
Congrats on reaching nearly 1,000 subscribers! I discovered your channel early on so it’s been fun seeing the number grow.
I always love hearing about affordable gems. My favorite from this list and also in my collection is Sun from Jill Sander.
My scent of the day was Infusion D’Iris from Prada, which I’m lucky enough to always find partial bottles of, and also on discount sites. 😉
Hi there! I know, I remember seeing your comments. Thank you so much for your support!😊
I tried Infusion d’Iris at the airport once. Sadly, I don’t remember how it smells…😕 I love my partial bottles!
I wore Anais Anais back in high school. I love Elizabeth Taylor fragrances and have a few in my collection. I wore Gardenia last week when the weather was quite warm and the fragrance is sweet without being cloying and yet very gardenia without being too heavy. It comes in a very beautiful bottle as well.
Elizabeth Taylor fragrances are the best! I was wondering about Gardenia. It sounds like a really nice fragrance. Thanks for sharing!🙂
Hi Luke - I own a bunch of the afffordables you've talked about here and totally enjoy them all! I know Cabochard Gres is a challenge for many but I love it - the edp and the edt. Our family lost a beloved aunt this past Saturday - so in her honor - and because she was such a lady - I wore Chanel's 31 Rue Cambon - the most lady like perfume I own - on Saturday. In fact, I've worn classics for her - all this week. Today - one of my favorites - Shalimar - because she wasn't just a lady - she was a ray of sunshine - with a wonderful sense of humor!
Hi there! Cabochard is amazing; it’s really growing on me. The dry down is really nice.
I’m so sorry for your loss. Wearing classic fragrances seems like an excellent way to commemorate and pay tribute to your aunt. Thanks for sharing this sad moment with us.
@@lukeparfums Yes, the drydown of Cabochard! Glad you are enjoying it! And thanks for your kind words.
I was wondering actually, do you have any Mauboussin fragrances? Those appear to be excellent value, but I've not experienced any, I wondered whether you had?
Hi Claire! Believe it or not, I’ve been eyeing the brand for some time now. I really want to get the o.g. Mauboussin. I remember reading somewhere that all of their fragrances are great quality.
Hi Luke, i love all your videos. I like all the Elizabeth Taylor perfumes & i like Lou Lou & tabu & wind song i have a couple of vintage perfumes I'm saving up to purchase Thank you for the video & Have a nice day ! ❤
Hi there, hearing that makes me so happy! Thank you!🙂 Vintage fragrances are amazing. Thanks for watching!🙂🧡
I adore vintage perfumes ❤️
Today I sprayed just once on my wrist Must de Cartier parfum and I smelled it all day long, such an amazing blend, exquisite creation 🥰
I haven’t tried that one but I’ve heard great things about it. Thanks for watching!🙂
My scent of the day was Pleasures by Estée Lauder. I remember purchasing Rare Gold years ago and I loved it. I need to purchase a bottle, I love your videos so much. 😊
Hi there, thank you!🙂 Oh, Pleasures is another good one. I love the Estée Lauder classics. I hope you didn’t mind that I didn’t include any prices in AUD but I’m pretty sure most of these scents are just as affordable in Australia as well.🙂 Thanks for watching!
@@lukeparfums That’s ok Luke ☺️ you don’t need to include prices in AUD as I’ve been living in Portugal for almost four years now 😊
Oh, that’s amazing!🙂 Good to know.
Under another video, I had someone from Australia ask me to include prices in all my videos. I know it wasn’t you… I just remembered when I saw your username. Sorry.
@@lukeparfums That’s ok Luke don’t be sorry ☺️ it’s understandable and it’s very nice of you to include prices in some currencies 😊
I'm not a big fan vintage perfumes, but I like Rare gold.
Rare Gold is not overly vintage smelling, I’d say. Thanks for watching!🙂
I love so many of these perfumes. This video and the comments are a vintage celebration! Lovely!
Hi there. That’s amazing. Yes, our comment section is the best!🙂
Anais anais is so beautiful and comforts my soul. Isn't scent subjective. It's quite amazing
Scent is so subjective. Anais Anais is definitely not for everyone. I’m glad it works for us!🙂
Great choices 🥰 always love a good affordable classic …
Indeed. Thanks for watching!😀
I love Elizabeth Taylor fragrances too❤
ET is such a great affordable brand. Thanks for watching!🙂
I love Cabochard , Diamonds and emeralds and green tea. I wear Cabochard all the time and I love the work of Bernard Chant. Aramis is basically Cabochard for men. Chant was the perfumer for both
You’re absolutely right. Chant was a true master perfumer but I don’t think his creations get enough recognition nowadays. Thanks for watching!🙂
What a lovely video, these scents are right up my alley! I'm only 26 but a big vintage frag lover, I don't care if they smell "old" on me I wear them anyway! 😂😂😂 Lou Lou is one of my all time favourite perfumes, I used to have Sun and Green Tea, and I have Tosca right now 🥰
Hi there! Thanks for sharing. I’m glad there are other younger folks who appreciate vintage fragrances out there. Actually, I’m wearing Tosca today.🙂
I've purchased Jil Sander Sun thanks to your recommendations and I really love it. ❤❤❤ Also, Loulou will be added soon to my collection and I'm so happy. :)🎉🎉🎉
Yay, I’m so glad you love it!🙂🧡 Thanks for trusting my recommendations. Thanks for watching!🙂
Came for the trip down memory lane, subbed for your wonderful content
Awesome! Thank you for subscribing.🙂🧡
Hi Luke!
I decided to be a copycat….. I’m wearing Amarige😂
I’m going to have to eventually try Lou Lou. And Jill Sander. Nice that they’re so affordable. 😊
I really enjoy Casmir. And AA Vanilla! Both are winners for me!
I’ve never tried anything from Jovan, even though it was everywhere when I was younger. 😂
It’s wonderful to see videos showcasing affordable fragrances…it’s possible to smell great for less!
Thank you for another great video!😊
Hi! Amarige is stunning, feel free to copy my SOTDs as often as you’d like.😂 Lou Lou or Jil Sander Sun have a similar vibe; you might not need both. I rarely reach for Jovan Musk but it’s a nice one.
We all love a good cheapie, don’t we? Thanks for watching!🙂
Ananis ananis and men’s eau savage …penultimate 70’s couple ❤
Younger set let these 2 dry down and co mingle
Chefs kiss
Absolutely! I haven’t tried Eau Sauvage in a long time. I need to revisit it. Thanks for sharing!🙂
Someone on Fragrantica recently mentioned that ET Diamonds & Emeralds is a good substitute for the now discontinued Versace Blonde. I want to try it now, and you convinced me to give Cabochard another chance, too. 😁 A lot of these I have or once had back in the day. Nice video!
Hi there! I haven’t tried Blonde but I can totally see why they would be similar. Cabochard is well… stubborn! It’s not the easiest fragrance to love. Thanks for stopping by!🙂
Love this!!!! I'm cooking right now with you in my ear so i will react in a different comment later😂😂😂😂
Yay! We love multitasking.🙂
Thanks !!! ✨✨
Thanks for watching!🙂
Thank you. I like your descriptions and comparisons. I love Casmir and Anais Anais. I try to built my vintage collection. I will check Elizabeth Taylor. Greetings😉🌷
You’re welcome. I’m glad my video was helpful. Casmir is one of the best classic vanillas.☺️ Thanks for watching!
Great video ❤❤❤
Thanks for stopping by!🧡
Hi Luke. This has brought me back in time, and I loved it. I love that we have both spoken about Anais Anais within the same week. It's TOTALLY nasty to our sensibilities these days, but I have to admit that I love it, too, and probably always will, plague and all! :)
You're sooo close to 1000! Congratulations!
Thanks! I’m so glad you enjoyed the video. That’s such a coincidence, isn’t it? Anais Anais seems to be hated by so many people; I get so many comments from people who can’t stand it. But I still talk about it; it’s a vibe.🙂 Thanks!🎉
I like Elizabeth Arden Green tea and I wear it a lot. An easy go to fragrance for the office , school or for persons working in health care..
I used to wear Tosca in that beautiful bottle. I didn't know it's still there!I may look for it.
Thanks for the insight!
Absolutely! A light spritz of Green Tea would be perfect for someone who works in a scent free work environment. I also have one in a pear-shaped bottle, vintage, from my grandma. Is that the one you had?🙂
Nice video. Thanks for sharing. Which one of these are better for summer?
I'd say Jil Sander Sun, Green Tea and Jovan Musk. Thanks for watching.
I like your videos , Luke !
I think Lulu has nothing to do with what it used to be.
I have recently bought a mini bottle of Lulu.I was really disappointed by the current smell..
Hi there. Unfortunately, yes, it has been reformulated. It’s more crowd pleasing now but still beautiful in my opinion. Thanks for watching!🙂
A few more are
Blue Grass - Elizabeth Arden
Je Reviens -Worth
Red Moscow - Novaya Zarya
Pompeia- LT.Piver
Rève d'Or- L.T. Piver
Cuir de Russie - L.T. Piver
Heliotrope Blanc- LT. Piver
I will stop here but : check out the house of Piver!!!!
True Love- Elizabeth Arden
Thanks for sharing. I’ll add them to the list if that’s okay.
@@lukeparfums of course it is!
I’m wearing Sisley Eau de Campagne today.
Thanks for sharing!🙂
Were we separated at birth?? You're singing the song of my people with these!!!
I'm testing BabyCat today. I hated it, and now all of a sudden I MUST HAVE IT!
I knew you were going to compare Chantilly to Shalimar. I think I'm going to have to check it out because I'm on a hunt for something like the Mélisime Vanila Plenifolia, and what you're describing sounds just like it!
Who knows?! One can have scent siblings all around the world!😂
I’m so curious about Babycat. I thought about picking up a dupe. Yes, Chantilly has a hint of Shalimar in there for sure but it’s a different fragrance. If you’re looking for vanilla, I’d say Shalimar is a better choice; it has more vanilla.🙂
Your voice is so beautiful
🫶🫶🫶🫶❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much!🙂🧡
LOU LOU! I need to sniff that again. The one I sniffed at a discounter HAD to have been off, because it was so animalic. I covet that 80's scent.
Sun!!! I remember walking around Geneva smoking cigarettes, eating Mövenpick ice cream and smelling of Sun. Oh how I loved it. It certainly wasn't cheap when i had it, or was that because I was a broke au pair spending all my money on...well...cigarettes and ice cream!
I don’t get any animalic notes in the current version. It’s sweet, powdery, and vanillic but also slightly synthetic smelling.
Wow! Beautiful memories! Why is this getting me nostalgic too? I spent some time in Switzerland too minus the cigarettes, haha!😂
The name of the website to buy those beautiful fragrances in a good price please ❤
I don’t know where you’re located but I recommend Notino if you’re in Europe and FragranceX if you’re in America. Thanks for watching!🙂 I got these from a bunch of different websites.
@@lukeparfums thank you so much 😊
Alas alyssa ashkey is hard to find isnt it? I never see it online, just thr musk ,maybe thr white musk if im lucky but no way thr vanilla
I don’t know where you’re located but here in Europe it’s reading available. Thank for watching!🙂
I'm soooo happy to know that it's not just myself and my 30 year old daughter who think Anais Anais is vile! We bought a bottle for our Fragrance Christmas...and it was the bottom of the list, without a doubt!!!
You’re definitely not the only one, lots of people dislike it with a passion. I beg to differ. I absolutely love it!🙂 Thanks for watching!
I’m a rarity also I happen to love Anais Anais . It’s a favorite of mine . My mother wore this a lot and Now I do myself . I enjoy other fragrances but Anais Anais is one of my go to’s . Also like Chloe, L’Air Du Temps & Escape by Calvin Klein . Anais Anais is good on me and I like it very much . If I found it nasty I wouldn’t wear it . ❤😊
@@user-sg6ji2kk3u Don't get me wrong...I just turned 67 on Friday, so I'm old enough to like lots of vintage fragrances. I love the Karl Lagerfeld version of Chloé and also Narcisse. I tracked down a fair amount last month, along with several others. I'm not sure why I didn't enjoy Anais Anais. My signature scent since 1981 was the OG Gianni Versace for Women, which has aldehydes and is an Oriental Chypre--at least under some descriptions--and I LOVE it!!!
@@joannathesinger770 I’m 60 years old so my mom she’s passed now but my mom loved Anais Anais & Oscar by Oscar Adela Tenta ,also Opium and Shalimar . I just really remember my mom’s fragrances I grew up the youngest of 4 and was the only girl and the baby . I was Always in bro my mom’s perfume bottles . Some perfumes work well on some but not so well on others . Anais Anais is great on my skin in a small amount . I’m always careful not to over do it . Some go on really strong but are lovely in the dry down . Chloe EDP is beautiful I also Have Chloe Love Story which came out in 2014. It’s gorgeous too . One other Cacheral Fragrance I also have is Amor Amor. It’s agreeable and not too expensive .
