    I saw these back in the 80's in an In-Fisherman magazine. I use to fish with these on a pier at the Ohio river. I caught a nice hybrid bass that had the rod bent so hard, I could barely get the rod from the rod holder. The rod was bent over the rail straight down and I thought the pole was going to break. These work great for rocky ground, where you can't get a regular rod holder into the dirt.

  • @bobbyhempel1513

    I made mine but instead of drilling through the pipe to mount it I used steel strapping. I then took an old tool belt bag and bungee corded it around the top of the bucket so that I have a tool bag and then I took a bottle cage from a bicycle and mounted it to the side so that I have a place to either put a can with a koozie or a bicycle type water bottle.

    What size and type bolts are those (length)? Also what size PVC are you using? Looks like 1.5"? Great idea as that helps keep you organized.

    • @grizzlytaco3447
      @grizzlytaco3447  6 лет назад

      The bolts are 1/4 in by 3 inches and the PVC is 1 1/2 in. I'm sorry this is late, I'm trying to get caught up today!

    Huess what I'm making doing 2 maybe 3 I got a few fishing friends. Lucky I have all the parts at home but I want some new buckets. So that's all I'll ever have to buy got enough bolts to make dozen or or 2. Got some pvc pipe to do 8 to 12. But a friend I'm giving one to help gets short pipes but thanks bro. I didn't make a video but I will when I get the new buckets. Then I'll post. Thanks bro god bless. O you got a face book if so find Heath Daniel Schwab. I'll show you pitures.

      Grizzlytaco ok I made 3. I'm gonna tweek them little. I used mine but was in a angle and added a cardboard pizza box under it and my big rod I just won felt tipsy but it wasn't flat ground. But I'm thinking of making me a lead or steel block to keep it down. But for now I'm drilling a hole in the back and running to the ground with a 8penny nail. Like I've done my rod holders. But yea I've got to get me some new buckets I made 3 old but I may make some and sell some Lord now's I need the money. Thanks for making these I'm shur gonna love useing mine. I'll carry me 2 Everytime I go. God bless
