Thankyou for that informative tour. We have only driven through a couple of times on our way to other places and never stopped off. We certainly will have a wander next time when we are able to come. I found it most useful that you pointed out some of the shops, and places that to us visiting, don't appear as obvious as we might ignorantly expect to see. The chicken & tapas shop especially. Great work. 👍👍
It’s not a hard and fast rule, and most people stick to it, but the general idea is that windows should be green in rural areas, blue by the ocean, and wood coloured or brown in towns. There is even a specific “Lanzarote green” and a "Lanzarote blue” you can buy in the paint shops here.

House is fascinating, a glimpse into Manrique’s life and it’s a lovely village, staying in it right now after enjoying short visits on previous trips.
Is there a significance to the green or blue windows that are prevalent across the island, or is it just a style that everyone just sticks to?
