OMG…my husband and I watch you guys all the time. I’ve been following your Transatlantic journey on the Sun Princess as we’ve just booked a Mediterranean cruise this past week on Sun Princess embarking the end of May 2025 for my birthday. I was completely shocked and amazed when I noticed we’ve apparently booked the exact same stateroom (16417) for our cruise that you guys were in. How did that happen? What are the odds? I guess great minds truly think alike. We always enjoy your content. Keep up the great work. Happy Sails!!!🛳️
There is a wonderful movie called ‘The Way’ that could give you some insight about the pilgrimage that you saw some folks finishing. It’s a great movie, one of my favorites.
I know several people who have walked the El Camino and have made it to the church. It’s an incredible journey. Great to see the sacred finish line from your perspective. Another beautiful video.
Great video about Santiago. Thanks for giving a bit of history and cultural identity. Tapas looked really great, different than the food in the dining room. It looked good but over created. Just leave well enough alone. Looking forward to more.
Hi, I hope you said hi to my sister! She lives in Vigo Spain! Yes, I went there last year for an extended period of time. :) Glad to see that you are all doing well. Thank you for the vlogs.
Enjoying this series so far! And I've finally had success getting Parodeejay back on my YT home page. Now if I can trick it into auto playing your content after one of your videos concludes I will be happy. It's weird that it always auto plays a different creator whom I rarely watch 🤷♀️
Pilgrims walk the various Camino routes come from all over the world. The Scallop shell is a symbol of St. James (Santiago). Another symbol of the Camino is a yellow arrow.
When you are home and Jay is cooking again, you should try the recipe from Skinny Taste called Kiss my Shrimp and Grits. It's a lightened up version and quite good.
So, they call an alley a street lol. I've been to Europe and there are many narrow streets in towns, but unless you can drive a car down it, not sure it can be called a street. And, I know there are streets closed to traffic, but they are still wide enough for a vehicle. (I know someone would jump on that so I took care of it ). ;-)
@@parodeejay one of my favourite stops on all my cruises, wished I had picked up some of that jet jewellery, they have cheeses called Teta, I think, shaped like women’s anatomy,
It takes more than three! They have an entire group trained in how to swing it & the chain that it’s on is specifically made for it to swing the huge, heavy Butafumeiro.

You said "Topass Bar".
I heard "Topless Bar". I shall contain my disappointment.
Agree. Europe knows how to cook seafood without killing it with batter
We’ve had the most amazing seafood in Spain and Portugal… wowww!!
Question: did you need local currency at each port or was it easier to just use a credit card?
We see this same comment on multiple videos, so excuse the copy paste, ha ha… we did a combination of both cards and local currency!! :D
Curious - I'm sure you've mentioned before, but in port are you paying with local currency or usually a credit card?

Butafumiero is incense burner and I was there on feast and it takes three people to swing it from one end of church to the other
Wowww! I think our guide said it took out a window or two over the years due to a bit of excessively vigorous swinging!!

insert mean snarky comment here about eating your sea entertainment....while I eat shrimp :)
I'm Catholic and a lot of the rituals I don't understand. Maybe that's bad on my part.
Loved seeing Santiago de Compostela but I think you low key insulted Waffle House - the food is consistent & as described if unhealthy at WH!!
Grits White gravy Deep South red gravy north south. Think Birmingham vs Mobile
Interesting! Sort of like the many schools of barbecue sauce from region to region!!
