Bloody hell this is good. I've changed my mind - this should be the national anthem, (with a verse from the indigenous perspective). Plus a good easy chorus for all Aussies to sing - "I Remember" .It is important for the health of a country to remember and embrace the past and not to try and cover it over or forget it.
What a fabulous version of the song that embodies Melbourne. When i lived in China i used to play Paul Kelly singing it in the clip recorded on the silos. My Chinese girlfriend used to tell me it looked like it was a great city and it had its own song too.
@OzTwanger Heard of Australian band Augie March? Well, Glenn's the songwriter and lead singer. If you're not familiar with the band, then look them up here on The Tube and enjoy the music - pure magic!
Not a Grates fan, that's what they do to my nerves. But it was great (sic) to see and hear Patience Hodgson singing normally and proving that if she really wants to she can actually perform.
NOT getting what is great about the female's singing vox or stage performance but Glenn Richards and P.K. were terrific! I miss Melbourne so very much! : )
