Good stuff! I have an M3 and love it. I enjoy it so much I put myself on the waiting list at my closest Leica store for the MP. The thing that pushed me to do this sounds silly but it’s true. I want to send my M3 for a CLA, but I don’t want to be without it for a few months. So now when I get the call for the MP I will send off the M3 for a CLA - problem solved! I keep pondering whether to upgrade lenses though… I have a vintage 50 ‘cron collapsible and a vintage Sumaron 35/2.8 with goggles. The MP finder has me wondering if I should at least get a modern 35… also, both of my lenses are silver chrome like my M3. Decisions decisions! Anyway, cheers to you!
After some thoughts, I ended up getting M-A instead of MP.. Does your MP feels clunky and sound echoy from being a bit hollow inside? My M-A does and not so satusfied with it. My M2 & M3 feel much more solid and sound. Just wondering how MP is in that department.
Congrats on your purchase. I realised that a lot of m6 owners purchase the mp as well. Would love to hear what your thoughts on your new mp compared to your m6 :)
Thanks. I want it to brass but then again I do not want it to yet haha. I only bought the body because I already have couple of lenses that I use with my M240.
The MP and the M-A are the only film cameras you can buy brand new today. I chose the MP because the M-A does not have a light meter (and you cannot get the M-A in black paint. Only black chrome is available). The MP was only around AUD 150 dearer than the M-A so there was no reason why I should choose the M-A over the MP. Unlike all the other digital Ms, the MP does not have the "aperature priority mode" so MP forces you to slow down even more and "tests" your skills as a photographer (yep, I realised I still have a long way to go haha). So far I have only shot with lux35 and lux50 (my fave lenses).
@@1jphotography960 I really want one of these. Even considered going full blown analog only … but super pricey for the camera plus film and processing. Still thinking about it.
@@ericrjennings yeh I totally understand. I have been saving for a M11 which is expected to be released next yr some time but then I was still happy with my M240 (btw, congrats on your purchase 😉). Also, M11 is only going to be packed with latest "technology" which in my personal opinion, not so important (what "technology" in a M body? 😂) So I used that savings on this MP which I was sure I would focus more on shooting experience and not thinking about the image quality, performance etc. I have been thinking a lot about this and it only made the price of MP go up, when I could have saved more if I had bought it last year. Hope one day you get yourself a nice Leica film camera. I am sure you will love it too

Good choice. I also considered the M-A but did not think I could handle it without the light meter. I have not used the M2/M3 but I did hear that the advance lever feels more solid and sounds more "satisfying" on the M3. Congrats and I would love to see your work. Do you have insta?
The holy grail of all cameras, built to celebrate pure photography.
Yeh, I love the experience you get with this camera. Thanks for the comment!
The apex of cameras. The only one I would give up my early M6 for. Beautiful.
It would have been a really difficult choice if the M6 were still being sold brand new. Those are so beautiful too
@@1jphotography960 and now they are! haha they must have re-released it right after you wrote this comment
Congratulations Ma'am, you have a beautiful camera.👍📷🌟
I can feel your emotion with your hands !
Thanks for the comment. Hope you enjoyed the vid!

Nice video! I just picked up my black paint MP this week. Can’t wait to shoot with it and compare with my m6. They are more identical than I thought

Holy… this is the film camera! 😍 thought you meant the digital. And built this month!!!!!! Nice!!!
Yes it is a film camera which was just built! So excited! Thanks for the comment
@@1jphotography960 ….sounds like an angel got its wings! 🤣
nice camera, 2019 model, I use also the mp, and I’m very happy with the camera.
Yeh, they changed from shark skin to leather from 2019 (or 2020) I believe. Such an awesome camera
Finger print magnet?
Beautiful camera. I'd honestly be afraid to use it, though, which would be a shame. What lenses did you get with it?

ISO dial is plastic, is not it?
Correct. Unlike the M-A.
Thanks so much for sharing. I really want one of these. Probably for the best that they’re out of stock where I am so I can’t spend the money haha
Haha. These are out of stock everywhere. Just have to make an order and be patient until your unit arrives. Thanks for the comment
What made you buy this? What lenses do you shoot with?

Теперь понятно почему такая цена.столько картона дорого стоит.
ur nails give me the creeps lol
Bunch of stuff to throw away at the end for a camera not worth half the price they are selling it for..sorry Leica lovers..admit it!!
