Can we take a moment to appreciate the WORLD CLASS arranger that is Aaron Dale, what he can do to make charts varied and exciting is simply incredible. We are SO lucky to have him in the organisation! Thank you Aaron Dale.
I feel like years from now we'll look back on the day Quorum sang "Them There Eyes" to win the gold. It's one of those legendary contest performances up there with 2000 Platinum (oh look Garry Lewis again, what an insane talent)
Quorum winning was a surprise to absolutely nobody. Absolutely smashed every single note the entire contest. No mistakes, just clean, perfectly executed barbershop. It's what makes champions into legends.
Gary is truly a barbershopers, barbershoper! He’s shown his love and dedication to the craft, and everyone he’s encountered. It’s such a blessing to have him in the society.
it's a rarity when the beginning of a song has a better tag than the end. the first minute of this song is the best begintag I have ever heard. goosebumps every time!!
This is just about impossible to beat. Huge props to Midtown for putting out such excellent performances, I thought they really put up a good fight. Quorum was just such a beast, impossibly hard to outscore. Also, Gary Lewis. Thank you.
This is an A chart that only an A quartet could achieve success. To borrow a phrase from across the pond, I am gobsmacked. Absolutely riveting. Well done!
SO right!! Quorum was incredibly clean in competition, even with crazy difficult arrangements like this one. I'd be remised if I didn't mention Instant Classic's arrangement of "You Didn't Want Me When You Had Me" as well, that has some insane key changes as well as some wild rhythms and they performed it so crisply 😱
I really enjoyed watching to Quorums RUclips content over the last year. I've been out of touch with barbershop on a Personal basis for a few years, especially since the onset of Covid and the passing of my wife. Moving to Florida this fall and looking forward to getting back into a quality group.
Gary on Bass is basically a cheat code (Chris on Lead is too but that's beside the point). Not sure Lead will suit him, but let's get that man a (Grand Slam? Royal Flush? What are we going to call it?)
In a completely gobsmacking performance, there are two parts I keep coming back to over and over: "those sparklin' EYES" at 2:58 and "lovin' them" at 3:43. Pure serotonin hits every time.
Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU! Barbershop. Pure Barbershop. Keep it alive fellas. Gold medals are not enough for you. Do they make unobtainium medals?
Is the medal presenting ceremony also going to be posted? Not only do I wanna see Quorum get their well-earned medals, I wanna see some history made with GQ!
Agreed. I also wanna see the AIC highlights. Seeing nightlife get some recognition as well as the final lucky old sun from crossroads (assuming they sang it during there retirement show)
Everyone’s already talking about Gary jumping to lead to get a fourth medal but let’s not forget with the allowing mixed groups compete Nathan Johnson could easily medal again and compete with Double Date
So what if they do...my point is, most of the contest music performed today is NOT the traditional, ordinary-song, commonly-sung music of the day (late 1800s throught early 1900s). It's probably why they changed the name of the Society.
I'm not even sure it's technically the loudest part of the song, but somehow that final chord is the loudest sound that's ever occurred.
It's the ring that it has because it's so perfectly in tune!

Winning at both tenor and bass is ridiculous
I think it's Harry though
Nah I'm pretty sure its Perry@@jesusthroughmary
@@Cinator78 If I’m not entirely mistaken I believe it’s Jerry.
Pffft... it's LARRY!
This tag will go down in history. It rang for decades before it was even struck.
Alright, so next year we’ll see a new quartet formed with Gary on lead, yeah?
Absolutely, lets get that 4th medal!
Inshallah
When the epic tag is at the beginning rather than the end, you know it's going to be good.
Just want to say that the one all the way in the left was my amazing choir teacher😁 beautiful voice and great teacher
Quorum winning was a surprise to absolutely nobody. Absolutely smashed every single note the entire contest. No mistakes, just clean, perfectly executed barbershop. It's what makes champions into legends.
After the second swipe chord of the intro (bass sliding off a G4 WHAT??), I knew this was from a whole 'nother planet, possibly another galaxy! 🤯🙌

Thankyouuuuuuu
Honestly i thought they were gonna win, but then this video came out and it put me on the fence to say the least lmao
The craziest thing is this past year they DID outscore quorums score from 2022! What a difference spiderfarm makes
Love how you can see Nathan shaking his head while he is posting knowing they just won that international gold! Legends
I love how creative the melody was for this one. I dont think I've really heard something like that before. Also, obviously the harmonies were divine.
Quorum absolutely killed every single song they sang. Truly world class
This is just so crazy. I can't even think of new adjectives to use for every barbershop performance I witness like this.
Surreal... Bonkers... Baffling, even. That was simply next level. What a well deserved gold medal...
Gary Lewis was actually my music teacher! Awesome guy
Youve not an idea how jealous that makes me. Youre a student of a legend
Their voice blending wall of sound was consistently head and shoulders above every other group this year.
This is just a completely 'nuts' arrangement that suits these gents skills perfectly. Congrats on the win at last, thoroughly deserved.
Aaron Dale has to be from another planet. His music is SO wonderful and creative! What a great performance! Just simply wow.
This has got to be the single most bonkers arrangement I’ve ever heard on the international stage
this and Vocal Spectrums rendition of Bye Bye Blues lmao
Yea, I was going cross-eyed just trying to imagine the chart
This is up there with Honeysuckle Rose (After Hours) and funny enough, Put Your Arms Around Me (also sung by Gary in Max Q lol!)

That tone change at 3:13 is insane! Barbershop royalty right here.
That's really satisfying!
Where were you when Gary won a gold on bass???
i was home eating sonic cheesed burger
"midtown is kil"
no
qorum is win er
In the audience lol
Gary on Bass is basically a cheat code (Chris on Lead is too but that's beside the point). Not sure Lead will suit him, but let's get that man a (Grand Slam? Royal Flush? What are we going to call it?)
cant express how fun that was for me and how fun it looked for Quorum - congrats!
2:43 is just so good, I can’t explain why, but wow
Gary's swipe was downright nasty in the best way. WOW! Great performance all around.
Absolutely pleased to see this live, these fellas are the goats!!!!
Congratulations Quorum
Wowza this is good!!! Not surprised they won 1st place 👏👏👏👏
I've lost track of how many times I've watched this today. It's stupendous in every sense of the word. I can't stop smiling 😄
Congratulations Quorum!!!!
Damn, Harry… Larry… Perry… Gary Lewis is a 3 timer in 3 different voices…
These guys are at their prime. A truly gold medal performance.
god!! baritone post is my daily motto
Best performance on RUclips I've seen in months!
In a completely gobsmacking performance, there are two parts I keep coming back to over and over: "those sparklin' EYES" at 2:58 and "lovin' them" at 3:43. Pure serotonin hits every time.
"Fall fall fall fall" at 2:17
2:16 is so dreamy GEEZ
To do this live in contest is a really difficult thing
They NAILED IT
0:48 A high G from Gary - the perks of having a bass that’s also a gold medal baritone/tenor
Even more impressive, it was actually a G#!
@@frak7190 Probably sharped it a half.
@@kenbuckner1900 how did 3 people like this? It's not sharp
Lmao
He just needs to win as a lead then he has the grand slam haha
These guys are amazing! I'm glad to hear they won after seeing this.
Such a difficult arrangement executed with such precision and ease! What a well deserved gold medal!
I’m sitting here doing nothing, losing my breath by watching that very last note held out! 😮 🎉 Congrats guys!
They have some of the best arrangements out there, and perfect execution.
Nathan's face during the key change at 3:10 is that "shit we just won" face...
Home free
Very happy for Perry!
You mean Jerry
Now Gary just needs to win as a lead to become the first grand slam winner
3:13 - 3:19 might just be the best barbershop I've heard from these guys
I've got an idea! Let's put a killer tag in the intro.
Out of this world talent and arrangement! Can't stop rewinding! So well deserved!!
The texture at 3:31 is amazing 🤩 I love their stage pretense as well
I love their singing style! They are awesome! So Glad they won 🏆 in Charlotte this year
This tag is still one of my favorites I've heard live! Overtones on the last chord practically bounce off the walls
Amazing 🤩❤️❤️❤️❤️
So glad Quorum won! Congrats all
ITS ABOUT TIME I LOVE THESE GUYS SO MUCH!!!!
Gary Lewis = 🐐💈
Wonderful performance, gold medal worthy! 🥇
Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU! Barbershop. Pure Barbershop. Keep it alive fellas. Gold medals are not enough for you. Do they make unobtainium medals?
The Chords after 3:41 are INSANE 😍👏

Someone has it on here, the channel is Catherine Griffith.
The medal ceremony was included in the reruns they just premiered
@connerrock1164 they did, it is posted as a separate video
Absolutely incredible! Congrats guys!!!!
Gary is the man
LET’S GOOOOOOOOOOOOO! 🥇
The pre tag is better than the ending tag 😂 completely bonkers!
paying tributes to the gas house gang YESSS DAWG
Gas house was great
This is the "I Hear a Rhapsody" of the 21st century.
They've upped their presentation, always found them a bit dull, but this is impressive
Whoa, Bari!
Everyone’s already talking about Gary jumping to lead to get a fourth medal but let’s not forget with the allowing mixed groups compete Nathan Johnson could easily medal again and compete with Double Date
So proud of you guys! Everything was so crisp and solid. It was a real pleasure to meet you.
Best performance of this classic
2:17 that classic old school bell tone barbershop
@3:53 when Nathan realizes he plants the hell out of that high A
How can you not love barbershop
So good! Bravo!
HOT DAMN!
The only things missing from this arrangement are an accelerando, ziggedy boom and way down south. Maybe Oh what a ball
HOLY CRAP!
Congrats!
Wow! One of the tightest performances I've ever seen. What a dynamic arrangement this is! Who wrote it?
Arranged by Aaron Dale
@@PEParrish1021of course
Gave me a Chordgasm
Flawless.
Now Gary just needs to sing lead in a quartet lmao
I would contest the "contesability" of this song, but I believe the "standards" have changed dramatically and gone "mainstream".
Don't they submit the charts for approval well in advance?
somehow all four parts pop at once throughout this arrangement
were the newfnagled four there?
Unfortunately, they were not.
They recently replaced a member and have stepped away from competition for the time being. Hopefully they come back soon!
Pov your music teacher is thee *far left*

Thanks me! I went to the comments trying to remember who arranged this and here I was.
You bet!
0:34 what is that absolutely ridiculous gliss bro, the tenor killed that
The tag confuses me at 3:48 Is Gary going low or is he making the "baritone" move 😂 but somebody is going lower
My goodness
2:44
A baritone post yay.
I like the arrangement Metropolis did much more. 💁♀️
😳
I could sing bass in this quartet....hmmm.
False
Just nasty!!
