This achievement was probably the one I attempted the most right behind crusader kings 2 in my road to 100% completion. I firmly believe future achievements will never be as difficult.
Great video! A couple thoughts 1) be careful of the Soviets if you go fascist instead of Communist. They justified on me as soon as I finished off Romania, and they justified on my capital so I couldn't do your "reunite the kingdoms" trick. 2) a collaboration government on Greece helps so you can get some factories and resources from compliance while your country is a mess. 3) doing the focus "end the regency" flipping to democratic after everything is all done gets you the "Peter's Pride" achievement.
@@aidenbooksmith2351 i don't think you can do that while you're playing as yugoslavia. In that part of the focus tree, yugo is broken up into its constituent countries as puppets, and you're left with serbia as your core territory.
I find fascist run to be much easier if followed by democratic flip. For some reason did not encounter Stalin's rage and progressed Hungary a lot quicker. I usually go Bulgaria, Hungary, Greece, and then Romania. Just easier to mess with AI.
@@milospesic2454 I think what happened is that the AI Soviets finished their focus to claim Bessarabia while I was still at war with Romania, but occupying Bessarabia. This was also prior to NSB, so I don't know if the new USSR tree would affect that at all.
Really appreciate the update on the guide :D . I just got this achievement done thanks to your guide and I have to say that this way is more fun than your older one :D
Interesting video! I used a similar strategy to your previous one to get this achievement. I flipped commie via the focus, justified on Austria twice (to get a faster justification due to higher WT) and while fighting against the Austrians, I justified on Greece. I fought a couple months while staying on the defensive (disbanded my paratroopers by mistake) on both the Greek and Romanian fronts. The Greeks beld themselves to death, paving the way for my swift advance into their territory. I did invest in fighters and CAS, they helped me a lot against Romania. I got pretty lucky, as Germany did have some hard times in fighting in the West (France fell only in January 1941). This delay made the Jerries quite weak, and together with the Soviets I could finish the Axis off by 1942.
If you turn Italy into a collab government then you wont have to fight over it in the peace deal, although that only applies to the territories that you held when you made the collab gov. In BBA they become a puppet automatically an you only need to drop them down to integrated puppet to keep them. That way you only need to fight over the territories that the allies held during the peace deal, and the BBA peace deal mechanics make it easier than it was, plus you will have more warscore points to put towards fewer regions on account of not having to select most of Italy. Also you only need to occupy the regions to get the achiev so if you have to fight the allies you only need to occupy the lands to win, so it is best to snatch up the island provinces first, then the coastal provinces, then the inland provinces. If you end up losing out on the inland provinces then so long as you surround them it wont be hard to take them the instant the war breaks out, just need some defensive units on your borders and shorelines so that you dont lose anything to a naval invasion.

Just to let everyone know, releasing Bosnia is still glitched, you don't get a single puppet division. I figured by now PDX would have patched it, but then again, it is PDX...
Serbia was not only the victor of ww1 but it played a key role in breaking the Thessaloniki front. You have so many books written about Serbian victories in ww1.

Sadly, this doesn't work anymore. France will always withdraw their guarantee of you when Germany takes Sudetenland, meaning war with Romania will lead to a war with the allies.
attempted to do this myself... Czechoslovakia joined the allies, brought them in, and romania joined the allies too while I was at war with them. gotta love random chance.
I'm still stuck with this one. The french do guarantee on greece but after that they do not anymore. i have the british guaranteeing me but the french don't anymore. so the allies always attack me.
It took me 4 long years to beat Germany, the ai was incredibly insane, it held D Day, while i was aggressively attacking, as well as 3 naval invasions from the soviets and U.K, all at the same time, and i still lost 3/4's of my army strength, and almost all my air. Germany had 89% equipment stores at the time of capitulation.
As an alternative Yugoslavia has quite a bit of chromium so they are in a good position to make heavy tanks. If you time it right you can get the focus that gives you mechanized and then tank research and then have at least two 20 width heavy tank 2s with mech out by barb. Doesn't sound like a lot but two tank divisions commanded well is enough to get small encirclements and to slowly bleed the enemy dry. Also, not saying this cuz I think going heavy tanks for this strategy is better, I just think it's cool that Yugoslavia is in a unique position to go for heavy tanks quite well since normally if a country goes for tanks they get mediums (I feel that's the case anyway). Also tanks are fun.
Great video. Question, what has changed in 1.10 to make the paradrop on Austria pre Anschluss a non starter? Does Germany pick a fight with you if you control it?
despite being both guaranteed by france and the UK when declaring war on romania, both france and czechoslovakia joined their side. Just bad RNG? happend 3 attempts. followed the guide step by step
So maybe I did this wrong, but the conditions for the Huge-O_Slavia achievement include the 1 province held by Turkey. I got all the others, tried justifying on Turkey, managed to get the province but unfortunately that is not enough.
Ran a SFR Yugo few days ago, seems old method may avilable; go straight for Pan-Slavic faction, annexed Austria & Hungary, as FRA, Czech, Romania & SOV guranteed me when Italy invaded me the first three joined my faction, and SOV jumped in, Asked expeditionary force and puppeted ITA quickly. For igniting so much WT FRA & Czech leaved but that's ok, BUR is in Japan's faction, which shouldn't be a problem, I think eating up Greece & Romania(will be kicked out at a good moment) shouldn't be that hard.
Small puppets are hard coded not to take industry paths of their focus tree untill they finish the political and army paths. Any puppet with more than 1 state will rush it's industry
I have an update for a probably more repeatable method. Puppet Bulgaria, give Greece to Bulgaria. Then around 1938 take Hungray if UK guarantee your independence. Czechslovakia might guarantee Hungray. Take out both before Germans do fate of czechslovakia. Do NOT take any land from Czechs. Then justify on Romania, and finish everything before USSR comes in. Then unify the country and should be very simple after that.
The trick is, the higher world tension there is, France would be more likely to guarantee your independence. It would be safer to improve relationships before that. By generating enough tension yourself, you can earn a French guarantee (though I know this sounds like a joke but works)
In my playthrough, during the war with Romania the Germans delayed Fate of Czechoslovakia as such the Czechs ended up joining the allies and drawing them into the war. What a pain in the ass.
Do not destroy encircled units if you are close to capitulate their country. If you destroy them you loose their equipment, which otherwise you could capture 50%
One state puppets are hard coded not to go down their industry path untill they finish politics and army tho. So, the larger puppets actually contribute more short term.
I have a question, Bitt3rSteel. You check the war participation screen by clicking on the world tension button and then selecting the war. Why do you do it that way? I've seen others do it your way and I don't get why you add an unnecessary click. Just click on the war alert icon at the top and it takes you directly to the war participation screen.
I don't know if it's just the combination of DLCs and lack of others; but my puppets randomly recall their forces upon declaration of war with Romania (amongst other oddities). And for the life of me I cannot get France to STAY guaranteeing my country... I dunno if I will just have to wait to buy the DLCs later on sale.

I did gain another achievement without realizing it, "The Balken Powder Keg," because I was like I'll join the allies to make it easier to take out the Soviets.
Just to let everyone know, releasing Bosnia is still glitched, you don't get a single puppet division. I figured by now PDX would have patched it, but then again, it is PDX...
for civil wars you can train 1 horse (bacause they will not split ) and just rush victory points
Serbia was not only the victor of ww1 but it played a key role in breaking the Thessaloniki front. You have so many books written about Serbian victories in ww1.
Is anyone having the issue that France cancels the guarantee and doesn’t give another for the rest of the game?
Once again, a achievement run for the ages...I am really impressed with your strategies and set ups. Now. How about a "One Empire" set-up. Say the first 5-6 years. The rest is self-explanatory. :-)
for some reason the french never guaranteed me and the czechs keep joining the allies and i cant do anything about it to win
Play the "dreams of" series of mods! they`re honestly really great and fun to play!
Dreams of Carthage is actually very well done, one of the few mods I would recommend for this game
Ehm ehm... so will there be a updated Al-Andalus stream?
would like to recomend to some people to before the focus to realease the yugo countries happens you put some more divisons to train and than cancel them after the focus you gett all the manpower you had before whitout loosing it :D
What happened to calling the fascists gamers? I thought it demonetized you ? :o
Personally I found it quite funny for a few reasons lol
It does. That's why this video is demonetized.
I got a ad tho
Thanks for the tutorial, very helpful!
19:27 It works for me still.
Sadly, this doesn't work anymore. France will always withdraw their guarantee of you when Germany takes Sudetenland, meaning war with Romania will lead to a war with the allies.
eyy, my favman from the place where you go if you want to invade france uploaded again! how are you my spy?
GENIUS! thanks, that enlighted me! :D
You should play as Canada in Kaiserreich and reclaim the British isles, I personally would love to see that. Great content as always!
Love your videos and indeed very helpful
attempted to do this myself... Czechoslovakia joined the allies, brought them in, and romania joined the allies too while I was at war with them. gotta love random chance.
Yeah, sadly, I've lost two runs now on this because of that same event. I keep rewatching and checking notes to see if I did anything wrong...
@@AndySchwartzFHS have you completed it?
Got it! Thanks so much!
When I start the game, it doesn't offer civil war, only with road to 56 mod it does...
U should do the achievement where uneed to get ur ruler to be a child
I'm still stuck with this one.
The french do guarantee on greece but after that they do not anymore. i have the british guaranteeing me but the french don't anymore. so the allies always attack me.
having the same issue... doesnt work anymore @bittersteel
Bittersteel, pls play some custom mods like playing thousand week reich, kaiseriech and consider making a challenge from them
Yugoslavia and Greece were also part of the Entente in WW1 not just Romania.
Romania got extra rewards to split slavs and keep Russians further away
Ty
I had french garantee revoked just before my war with romania, great thank you France
Same thing keeps happening to me...idk why...
Bro i was guaranteed by UK and france but when i declared on Romania they joined the war i was like bruh wtf
Nice Video, hvala 😉
Deny the Rhineland challenge + little Entente
+ no superior firepower 14/4s for the challenge haha
Also tanks are fun.
thats a valid comment. Though it would require a bit more time to build up, i think
Great video. Question, what has changed in 1.10 to make the paradrop on Austria pre Anschluss a non starter? Does Germany pick a fight with you if you control it?
You are much slower to flip, ergo less time to get your hand on Austria.
bitt3rsteel at 44:48 couldn’t you just gotten military access from the united kingdom and requested sardinia and the dodecanese?
despite being both guaranteed by france and the UK when declaring war on romania, both france and czechoslovakia joined their side.
Great video.
50min vid pog!!!!
Why is protect Bosnia better on paper? And why do you prefer a United Croatia over a divided Croatia?
Small puppets are hard coded not to take industry paths of their focus tree untill they finish the political and army paths. Any puppet with more than 1 state will rush it's industry
Bitt3rSteel makes sense. Thank you very much
“Dad where were you during the Yugoslavian civil conflict?”
Haha you mean where were you during 1991?
If you destroy them you loose their equipment, which otherwise you could capture 50%
i feel like dividing each country would be more usefull as they each get their own industry branch that you eventually get back when you re annex them
One state puppets are hard coded not to go down their industry path untill they finish politics and army tho.
I am a flawed person
I watched this while completing crusader king 1 achievement
As Bitter says in the video, France can revoke your guarantee after the Munich Agreement crisis. And they never do it again, I assume.
Serbia was also ww1 victor @22:30
nice
I don't know if it's just the combination of DLCs and lack of others; but my puppets randomly recall their forces upon declaration of war with Romania (amongst other oddities). And for the life of me I cannot get France to STAY guaranteeing my country...
I dunno if I will just have to wait to buy the DLCs later on sale.
RIP this against the new update freaking Romania is super hard to take duo to how thrash the supplies are even with tanks and 7/2s
I got all the achievements but I still like watching these
Biggest flex in gaming history
That sounds like pain to get them all
Hey how can I rush America as japan
@@devon5154 actually bittersteel guide is great. Watch his vid on it for more detail but essentially take Netherlands and land in Mississippi-Alabama border for more supply.
first hit for hoi4 yugoslavia let's go
Hungary joined the Axis in my game. Is it because I wasn't fast enough and WW2 had started by the time I declared on them?
cant you just join comintern, to remove guarantees on you? So romania would be called by greece.
There's a risk of 2 front war, if you're good enough to handle that you might as well do that. Calling the Soviet can risk you Romanian land unabling you for Dracula's revenge, so dont bother,
Tried this a few times but I never get a guarantee from france :(
Idk if its random luck or if this guide is broken now but twice in a row france rebukes my guarantee when the germans take the sudenland. I even used my spies to secure a non aggression pact with france but france still comes in :(
he has taken out the BRIGAMA, this BRIGAMA has ended =D (BRIGAMA = Bulgaria, Romania, Italy, Greece, Austria, Mađarska(Hungary), Albania (bordering neighbours which re called BRIGAMA bc in south slavic countries brigama means care though its verbally wrong, correct is brige lol)
Remember, other than liberating new/former countries, the allies won’t touch a country if they’ve been puppeted. So you can puppet Italy in the lybian desert, take the Austrian territories, then the allies shouldn’t touch anything else.
TNO is really fun to play imho, can try Heydrich's Germany for instance.
Yea but the dev are either neo-nazi fucked up, or transgender zealots
@@trihermawan9553 I've heard about something like that too but I don't really think it's *that* important, the mod itself is pretty fun to play and that's what matters imho
