If i swapped the 350 out of my truck into my wd45, I'd be a step down.

    650 horsepower and 9000 rpm?

I don't have a problem with the different engine and other modifications he needed to make this a puller. I'll get flack for this but I classify this like saying a Dodge, Chevy, Ford, won at NASCAR. Cheering for the other sheet metal.

Doesn't sound like the WD-45D I drove in the 60s

    I highly doubt a semi-mild N/A 383 makes over 600hp. And it’s definitely not a diesel. 🤦‍♂️

Totally doable with 15:1 compression and some huge flowing heads at 9k rpm. Not even an interesting challenge to produce 700 hp from a sbc 383. But it’s definitely going to be burning race fuel at $11 per gallon.

Where did they say it was a diesel?

A HEMI 392 would make it look better than chevy, everyone has a Chevy lol

I don't really call that competition when You modify it.

If he is going to rev a 350 chevy with a 400 crank to 9000 rpm I don't want to be anywhere near it when it grenades

A diesel with spark plug wires, yeah right.

Most Allis Chalmers WD-45's were gasoline powered 4 cyclinder though a few of them were Disels

@@mikeskidmore6754 But this is an entirely new engine that Allis Chalmers never envisioned in their tractors. And I don't know of any conversion kits to convert the popular 383 small block chevy stroker to diesel.

Maybe I'm missing something, but they never said diesel

@@akallio9000 GM converted an oldsmobile engine to Diesel .. in various displacments.. I had a 1981 GMC 1/2 pickup with an oldsmobile diesel .. it had 270,000 miles on it .. The first motor failed and they replaced it with the GM Targetmaster engine that had many improvements to it.. the Pro Stock Drag racers sought out the diesel block .. I put headers on my ordered them for a Delta 88 oldsmobile passenger car..
