My friends and I are all having similar experiences with job searches focusing on mid to large companies. What we have found is that unless we are black, brown, or LGBTQ, they say we're not a fit and actually say that we're too white. Another company, after learning I was not Democrat, said they had to pass due to my voting values. WTF? I'm now looking to boot strap a biz for myself and have given up on the job market. Thanks for the videos... lots of good ideas.

Even Bloomberg reported that of the over 323,000 jobs added by major companies in 2021, 94% went to people of color (based on EEOC data from S&P 100 companies). A simple search would show this, along with numerous cases of reverse discrimination being addressed in court. Just because my experience doesn’t match yours doesn't make it any less real. Let's have informed discussions rather than dismissing challenges others face.
When you say have a degree does that mean a degree in data science or a degree in anything? I have a degree but it isn't in data science or computer science.
