I'm pretty confident the "Pearl Gold" one might actually be Pearl Light Gold, which was pretty much only used for early C-3PO figures. Not only did the color only stop after 2005, and the toothbrushes were 2003, but regular PG didn't really exist until 2004. Also, I checked Bricklink to say something about the Trans mask, but now BL no longer has it under Glitter Trans-Clear, now it's just under regular Trans Clear. (As if that's more accurate...)
It's bionicle universe, they are are known for their outright scalping level of prices. Odds are the one that sold prior was also sold by them. Like Bionicle Archives they tend to buy up any and all rare pieces/sets and than resell them for astronomical prices, sometimes 200% what they paid.
I have a few masks of light in silver I can probably color one gold or 3D print one and make a Bionicle based on the powers of a Green Lantern and Chromastone from ben 10
Bionicle Universe has access to a lot of prototypes and test pieces and I think they may be overplaying their hand a little with how much they're worth. When no one else has them, you can charge just about anything for them.

This is one of the unique mask types i still have in my collection. I`ve always felt it is meant to represent the Avohkii from the movie before Takua put it on to become Takanuva, with its shimmery, energy like appearance.
are you kidding me, I found a lot of Bionicle which had all of these, plus the. Makuta and takanuva sets, it was only 100 usd, dang it! though the real gold mask might be a knock off
The transparent glitter avohkii seems to be made of raw polypropelyne, which has a milky clear look to it. They then sprayed it with a transparent paint with the glitter in it. That would explain the variation if a mask got sprayed twice somehow or if a few batches had some extra glitter in the mix.
Very recently I actually bought the glitter trans clear takanuva mask for only $5, which I knew was a steal so I got right away and it does look very nice

I do believe there is a ninjago piece that uses the same color has the clear shiny Avohkii, I have it and it looks pretty close, but I dint have the mask though
Didn't somebody make the glitter version into a turtle or something? I seem to recall that being a meme of sorts. I wasn't aware that the glitter mask wasn't all that special. It's not like a rare version that came in a specific release of Takanuva, or exclusive to the Takutanuva combo pack? It's just in the vanilla Takanuva set? That's awfully kind of LEGO to do, but then at the same time, the color is too niche! I really only find it used well as the mane body and color for that turtle or the use of is as a Noble Avohkii like that Turaga version of Takanuva where it really worked best.
The Avohkii's great and all but what's really hurting me are those silver Jultin and Miru Nuva variants. If someone sent me one of those I'd get back into moccing just for the occasion

I still have my sparkle mask of light. As a kid, I could never figure out why they included it in the set, but I appreciate it now.
I assume it represents the mask before Takua puts it on, when it had the shimmering, glowing appearance.

On bricklink the mask of light is classed as trans clear as the gold speckle is coated on it, so it s not the same as trans clear with glitter

its a shame, its actually a nicer colour gold than either peral or flat gold. Kind of a best of both worlds.
