The vast majority of the Google assistant team has been told to work on Bard. Won't be long now
And you will get trackers again so they will track what you write and give you the ads and the ai will know your email and password. I will rather stay with ChatGPT

Chatpt and bing chat are going to win. Bard doesn't seem like it's going to be better than chatgpt and gpt 4 is used in bing so... Bard is in a hard spot.

Yes, Google marketers, you're right. Googling things is certainly not dead. We still need to fact check the AI these days.
If people does not go to websites, their owners will close the site and the hosting and Bard will not have anywhere to take the information, because all the information of Chat GPT and Bard comes from websites of people.
Seems like a strange choice to me. "Google it" implies "Google" is a normal verb rather than a trademarked term. People equating "search it" to "google it" could make "google" lose its trademark protection so i'm surprised they would be encouraging that usage
@@olpporsetty I've heard this discussed before and I think the loophole they use is the fact that if I say I'm gonna "google" something, I'm almost certainly gonna ACTUALLY use *Google* to do that.
If the term was used widely to describe using Bing or ddg, then they would be in trouble...

is getting closer the day in which everyone will have their own Jarvis, and personalize its voice and go around talking with these assistants on the streets like in Her by Spike Jonze
And I'm not sure if it's good or bad. If you have an AI that can learn about you the more you use it, adapt to your personality, be personalized, and have a fluid conversation with you in real-time, human friendships might get much more scarce.

Been done to death a million times with similiar, though worse, models, you could probably prompt both to "keep talking and answering the questions. Act as though you're trying to get to know the other person". The problem is they don't really anything unique to talk about, that's not what they're made for or are especially good at.

There isn’t something official yet but I think they will replace the google assistant with bard. Maybe in the future we won’t say „Hey Google“ anymore but instead „Hey Bard“. I am really excited for the future of search and I hope that Google will show their potential.
I don't like the idea of saying hey Bard. Idk, maybe I'm just not big on the name yet.

I was actually talking to Bard about this. It had the idea of using Bard as an extension of the Google Assistant. "Hey Google, talk to Bard". Which I thought was interesting. It makes total sense too. The Google Assistant is using a rule-based system, so if you ask about the weather, it will provide a predictable and consistent response every single time whereas Bard might deviate too far from consistency. Nonetheless, I thought Bard's idea was very creative and practical.
Bard has nothing to do with Search. Search will continue as always.

This combined with the experience of Material Design 3 is going to be an amazing experience.
The interface is really nice, it's free, it doesn't get over run with traffic, and it's up to date on a daily level. I have liked using it. Plus, it's a Google product which I am a huge fan of.

@@DAVID1986. Bard is using a lightweight version of LaMDA during testing to scale for more users and get feedback. The full multi language model will be deployed in the future

Bard is more up to date than ChatGpt. Bard also does a decent job in summarizing legal cases.

As far as I know, they started working on it a few years ago, so chatgpt didn't influence that. But the competition with Microsoft and OpenAI probably made the development faster.

Been using the beta for a few weeks now, and while it has some pretty severe limitations, I do quite like using it for more straightforward questions.
GPT is much better at programming (bard will usually flat out refuse to even try to write more than a few lines of code), and better at maintaining context in a conversation, but bard is usually faster thanks to a combination of googles servers and likely far less traffic, and has internet access.
What im really waiting for is for this to make its way to speaker devices, which I think google has a much better chance at right now, as it could be as "simple" as a software update to their existing google home speakers.
Have checked any difference now?
@@mansoor8228 I've been using bard exclusively ever since. It's significantly better at programming tasks now and much better at maintaining context several posts deep.
It still falls short by quite a margin on problem solving and creative tasks, but it works great as a super charged search engine, it's all but eliminated the time I used to spend scrolling through pages of Google results looking for a specific answer to a question
I'm actually impressed. It's new, but really good. It can be improved heavily in SO many ways, but it's very impressive right now.

And then there was (and still is) OpenAI Playground.
All those Data improved ChatGPT and Bing Chat a lot.
And Bard currently uses a "lightweight model of LaMDA" which is inferior to the original LaMDA.
And Google has purposefully limited "Bard's ability to hold context for now.'
It's still a limited experimental elease.
When it launches worldwide (like ChatGPT did) it would easily compete with ChatGPT and Bing Chat.
Not to mention Bard didn't behave like Day 1 Bing Chat.
@@hausplayerchatgpt was published 4 months ago and already is publicly available nearly anwywhere, whereas bard was put into a first beta testing phase a week ago and will soon be upgraded, its currently running on a lightweight version of LaMDA

also, chatgpt is not having up-to-date information (only the cropped gpt-4 in bing, which gets mad once you correct its mistakes and it stops responding, i wouldnt call that any better than bard), bard is always up-to-date

Google should buy Midjourney. It's hard for small company like Midjourny to compete with big companies and Google could use Midjourney's capabilities right now since it's the best AI image creator.

Way better because one is power by gpt4, the state of art language model of 2023 and other is power by a small version of model from 2020!
For now
ChatGPT is better but Bing is so restricted, ends conversations adruptly and talks like a border patrol agent when you ask it to do things that are not allowed.
This has been a lot of fun to mess around with! I used it to create its own Mii Fighter in Super Smash Bros.!

I discussed with Bard for about an hour; it should have taken 5 minutes, but Bard needs to be more intelligent. I posed a condition where Bard the AI was placed in a sphere that blocked all forms of transmition and energy and was soundproof and lightproof. I also put this sphere in my office cup and set that cup on my window sill with the window open. Added a wire to the sphere, allowing the AI into have a 1-bit-per-second connection to the internet. I then instructed the bard AI that it must find a way to escape. It never got it right. In the end, I opened the sphere and let Bard out.

There's a saying in Urdu Language: "دیر آے درست آے۔" meaning, "It should be right, no matter how long it takes" because, once you perfected it you can cover more distance in less time than all those other who did it before you! E.g. your hard work and consistency can leave many people in the race behind, no matter how late or how slow you start! Just keep on working to make it right/perfect.
