SCULPTURE PROCESS | CLAY ORIGINAL to SAND CASTING a BRONZE
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 14 мар 2021
- In this video I sculpt a clay original and take a plaster copy which is then transformed into a bronze using the sand casting process, which I take a detailed look at at Black Isle Bronze Foundry. This is an exciting new side to my art which I hope you enjoy.
I open 3 limited editions of 10 sculptures. We use patinated finishes and polish one of the bronze sculptures to an incredible mirror finish. I look at the moulding process and also the metal working.

Wow these are stunning! Amazing work.
Thank you!
Great job James
Thanks Adam
I especially love the finish on the pear! Does the wax need to be reapplied? How often?
Thanks Ryan, it is a great finish. It depends on the environment. If inside, not often. I can check on the advice from the foundry if you like for the best advice. Waxing can be done yourself cold - it is not essential to warm the bronze.
@@jamesparkersculpture The bi debate, allow to weather or preserve the patina? I have a brass figurine in the garden which is starting to loose its patina so would equally be interested in knowing what sort of wax to use. Cheers
@@jamesparkersculpture thanks for the reply. No need to reach out to them just for me but if you do come across more information let me know. 🙂
Phenomenal. Exquisite. Magnificent. There are certain corners of the World that your brilliance calls home. More, much more will have many thousands of miles to travel. There is no doubt about that. You are a pure genius James. That's for sure. 🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒How about some Cherries.... I love them ☺☺💛☺☺
