As an SnS main, I spent the first 10 minutes screaming at my screen "Sword and SHIELD! YOU HAVE A SHIELD! USE YOUR SHIELD!" as he's eating 85 consecutive hits from Black Diablos, lol
a really cool thing you can do with the mount finisher for sns is do it hit the monster twice, stop, repeat. You get hit monsters roughly 6-8 times I think (3-4 sets of 2) and then finish it with the last hit
You can start a perfect rush from neutral by quickly guarding then hitting B followed immediately by back on the left stick if you're using an Xbox controller. This also allows you to start one when your weapon is sheathed.
Honestly after geting beat up so hard during iceborne story, I finally switched from sns to great sword and my life got a whole lot easier. I never intend to go back.

Bro, I tried playing SnS recently, it's surprisingly hard, especially for a "beginner weapon". Perfect rush is just so satisfying to land!
Me spamming the basic combo that does 0 damage because I can't do the timing on the perfect rush
