Do BRD xp runs around the ring until 55ish then just farm strath UD. If you can't find groups then what you want to do is look for areas that you can quest in and kill a lot of undead/demon mobs so you can nuke them with exorcism and holy wrath.
      Go to out lands at 58 and just do quests. Best option is just spam LFG as a tank. Level doing dungeons. Then when 70 back track and do all quests you missed for extra gold.

      @@PcGAMEr877 It’s an interesting statement for a few reasons…
      1.) 100 Strength (Combining every piece of Tier 2.5) only provides 5 additional block value (for a total of 106 compared to 101 with the Redemption set)
      2.) The lack of agility provides the largest difference sitting at +3.23% dodge chance wearing Tier 2.5
      3.) While that is the case, the Redemption set provides an additional 499 Armor, 653 HP and 960 Mana. It also provides an additional 47 MP5. These increased values allow for more efficiency in runs
      4.) There is a difference of 68 spell damage in favour of Tier 2.5; however, the increased healing from Tier 3 would generally outweigh that. Tier 3 also reduces the cooldown on Lay on Hands AND allows for a 200-instant heal every time Cleanse is used appropriately
      The Redemption set is, believe it or not, superior to the Avenger’s set.

    Honestly video contains many wrong information. For example about rep priorities, if you play prot pala in tbc your main priority after dinging is revered with keepers of time. You get best in slot weapon and pants from it, tanking head enchant and couple useful items from dungeons quests. You dont need so many spd gear at beginning because you have more impotent priorities - crit/crush caps and only after that you go for spd stacking.

    • @swiftjuice168
      @swiftjuice168 3 года назад

      If we compare the two weapons from each Quartermaster, we'll see that Honor Hold's is in fact better than Keepers of Time. The only downside being that Honor Hold's requires Exalted while Keepers of Time requires Revered. So, Keepers of Time is FAR from BiS weapon for tanking. In fact, Crystalforged Sword is a MUCH better tanking weapon and it's BoE.
      Throughout your leveling experience, if you complete a few runs of Escape from Durnholde and Black Morass, you will likely be at Revered if not very close, so the importance of prioritizing this reputation at 70 is not high on the list.
      I presume by "spd" you mean spell damage? - You shouldn't stack spell damage at any time, regardless of your defensive stats since 200 is more than enough to start Karazhan and new gear will only provide more and more. You should be stacking stamina after reaching defence/crush cap.

    • @pavlosegeda8294
      @pavlosegeda8294 3 года назад

      @@swiftjuice168 Crystalforged Sword added in patch 2.1, so it may not be available on start of classic tbc. Hellfire sword have more spell power, but less stamina, so it's better for threat, but not overall. After you reach crush cap you should have both sets - mitigation and threat. But that's another story because at this point you will be raiding t5 and i guest you don't need that's sort of guides.

      We're likely to start at 2.4.3
      It has 17 less stamina - hardly an amount to sacrifice additional threat for.

But then you said to point into "Divine Strength" instead of "Divine Intellect". Why wouldn't you take divine intellect if strength is useles?
    Also, why no seal of the crusader/ vengeance for single target? Like, you didn't even mention the spell once, but all the guides I've read say for single target to start out with a seal of judgement then into seal of vengeance and put its judgement on the target if noone else has. Are you assuming someone else is putting up the debuff?

      Have a full list for you...
      Helmet - Underworld Helm from "Beneath Thrallmar" (Quest is available to both factions but may have a varied name) Required Level = 58
      Neck - "Diana's Pearl Necklace" from Stratholme (Cannon Master Willey - Live Side) or "Medallion of Grand Marshal Morris" which is a BoE that shouldn't cost too much on the AH nowadays.
      Shoulders - "Polished Obsidian Pauldrons" are BoE and pretty nice if you can afford them on your server. If not, "Lightforge Spaulders" from Blackrock Spire are a nice alternative. (Darksoul Shoulders/Stockade Pauldrons are nice, too, and BoE, but they may be pricey)

    • @swiftjuice168
      @swiftjuice168 3 года назад +1

      Cloak - "Redoubt Cloak" if you can complete a Dire Maul Tribute Run. If not, "Shifting Cloak" is an epic BoE. "Cloak of Fire" is a BoE that has an AoE effect.
      Chest - Fire Scarred Breastplate from Disrupt Their Reinforcements (Same quest for Alliance and Horde) Required Level = 58
      Bracers - "Lawbringer Bracers" can work just fine. If you can't buy them, "Fel Hardened Bracers" are quite fantastic as well and they drop from Dire Maul.

    • @swiftjuice168
      @swiftjuice168 3 года назад +2

      Hands - "Darkrune Gaunlets" are probably the best even with a low amount of Stamina and are BoE. If you can't buy those, I would stick with "Deathbone Gauntlets" and they drop from Scholomance.
      Waist - For this, I would just recommend "Deathbone Girdle" from Scholomance.
      Legs - "Flintlocke's Piloting Pants" from "In Case of Emergency..." (Both factions) Required Level = 58
      Boots - "Golden Cenarion Greaves" from "Natural Remedies" (Both Factions) Required Level = 61 (Group Quest) If not, "Deathbone Sabatons"

    • @swiftjuice168
      @swiftjuice168 3 года назад +2

      Rings - "Rune Band of Wizardry" (Blackrock Spire) and "Band of the Steadfast Hero" (Scholomance)
      Trinkets - "Regal Protectorate" or "Vengeance of the Illidari" ("Cruel's Intentions" - Horde and "Overlord" - Alliance) and "Charm of Alacrity" ("Voidwalers Gone Wild" - Both factions)
      Weapon - "Sedai's Blade" from Makuru's Vengeance (Alliance) or Source of the Corruption (Horde) Required Level = 60

    • @swiftjuice168
      @swiftjuice168 3 года назад +2

      Shield - If you can, "Skullflame Shield" is quite amazing for either objective but it's got quite the price tag sometimes. If it's not possible, "Draconian Aegis of the Legion" from Blackrock Spire with a Thorium Shield Spike would do just fine.
      Libram - "Libram of Hope" from Dire Maul East. It's from the summonable boss, but I imagine there'll be plenty of people that can summon it.

      @swiftjuice168 3 года назад

      @@Zorbodorb
      “Glyph of Deflection” is a good trinket. Would I say it’s ‘huge’ for dungeon grinding? Unfortunately, no. Because of its Block Chance (1.52%) being lower than that of “Styleen’s Impeding Scarab” (3.04%) we’d look solely at the Block Value (23 + on-use of 235 for 20 seconds)
      Assuming we’re discussing level-appropriate dungeons and mobs, your chance to block is not as high as if you were farming or boosting - in other words, your block value will mean less since you’re only able to benefit from it as long as you’re actually blocking attacks - which is generally useless against caster mobs.
      The class to benefit from “Glyph of Deflection” most would be Warriors since their Block Value increases their “Shield Slam” damage.

    @Rykurex 3 года назад +4

    I generally like your videos but think the information in this one is wrong. I've played a paladin through TBC multiple times and the most efficient way to level prot, by far, is to be pulling large packs and AoE-ing them down.
    You shouldn't be taking points in reduced healing pushback as you can't avoid (most importantly block) during casts, which means you're taking more damage and not dealing Holy Shield damage.
    Illumination is wasting 5 points on some mana regen for when you're healing; for this to be useful you need to be taking enough constant damage to warrant healing yourself and you need to be running into mana issues.
    Those two points mean spending 5 points in Strength, which is only really useful for single target, is contrary to what the spec is actually good at. If anything, take intellect.
    In total that's 15 points spent on healing and in-combat mana regen (that you only get when healing yourself). Those 15 points are much better spent in the Prot tree on avoidance and Improved Holy Shield.
    When you actually have mob competition, and even in leveling gear, you should be finding it hard to pull enough mobs. Survivability will never be an issue leveling as prot.

    Since tier 2 is already good enough for healing till level 70 and there is no reason to over burden farming or competing for gears in classic just to be a bit less than viable to tank early outland dungeon runs. Of course it will be different between alliance and horde since horde paladins will basically need to struggle from lvl 1 trio spec leveling will benefit them the most. Especially with Seal of Blood, you might want to take the most advantage from it.
      Also trio leveling has the advantage (for Belf) of easier talents and professions synchronization. Heck you can even add a druid and shaman to the group starting from crossroad to begin dungeon cleaving.
      For alliance however, this is clearly not that beneficial. Considering not many people will want to begin Tbc with Draenei Pally and most paladins will start at level 60 hence easier and faster to solo. But then again each outland zone will have hard elite quests that totally requires a party so not that much of a loss.

    PRO TIP from a holy/ret paladin who tanks dungeons speed run style and never runs out of mana, get R14 swiftblade, if blizzard drops the pre-patch as in the original timeline you are gonna be able to farm with the new honor system for a few days/week/weeks grab that shit asap, it does A LOT of damage, attacks SUPER FAST which translates to INFINITE mana with seal of wisdom on, as long as you have pieces of T2.5 and T2 for a full set of 8 pieces mix and match, that's all the spell power you need, or you can drop 30 spell power on it if you fancy that but i am telling you that weapon is gonna take you probably to like lvl 68 ez when it comes to solo farming, and remember! drinking between pulls is for plebs.
    PS: fuck the holy talents, after you finish prot you go ret, pick benediction, judgement cd, parry for sweet parry haste, SoC for the 1v1s, 3/3 pursuit of justice for that 15% speed, 1 filler point and voila: +50% ret aura damage, you just increased your killing speed by like 10-20%

      As a Paladin tank going into TBC, you shouldn't use full Tier 2/2.5 sets since there's no defensive stats on either set. To offset using a few slots for the defensive gear, you should ALWAYS use a spell damage based weapon.
      Wraith Blade has the same speed as Swiftblade AND offers an immense amount of spell damage.
      "Lok'amir il Romathis" is 2.10 speed, which is only .30 slower than Swiftblade.
      For most solo pulls, Paladins don't often run out of mana before the pull is done if they practice a bit and get the hang of efficiently killing the pull.

      Also this is literally a leveling video you can lvl with 0 defense none bats an eye, hell even dungeon tank up to like 67(and by that point you have an actual tanking set somewhere), the whole def + sp weapon thing is raiding and heroics,
      lok amir when you take on 1 mob(cos yeah that can happen) is waaaay worse than swiftblade, the only benefit that lok amir has is exactly 27.72 extra dmg on concecration and wraith blade is 31.35 , not even a tick while the attack speed providied by the swiftblade works as a mana battery on aoe pulls, yes someday those 3-4 extra attacks that you will get each pull can be the difference, and added up they save a lot of drinking/eating

      Spell damage is not the same in TBC as it was in Classic - it provides a 1:1 ratio with Consecration. So, +84 Spell Damage would provide +84 total damage for Consecration, leaving you with an additional 10.5 DPS, or "per tick." Your math would be correct for Classic but not for TBC.
      As a Protection Paladin, why would you only be taking on one mob at a time? Even excusing that, your suggestion is to use a weapon that doesn't benefit the Paladin whatsoever? We'd lose all the extra spell damage the weapon would provide for our spells, inevitably causing the fight to go on much longer than if we were to just use a spell damage weapon.
      You certainly can level with zero defensive stats (block, dodge, parry or literal defence skill) but that's without a group, and not in dungeons. If a "tank" attempted to tank a dungeon (doesn't matter which one) with no defensive stats, they will get hammered on and likely die within a few seconds, effectively causing a wipe. Not to mention, Holy Shield requires blocks in order to proc.
      Using the Swiftblade instead of Lok'amir il Romathis...
      You sacrifice 18 Intellect (Approximately 270 mana)
      You sacrifice 3 Stamina (Approximately 30 health)
      You sacrifice 8 Spirit
      Using the level 60 Seal of Wisdom, it has a CHANCE (not guaranteed) to restore 59 mana per melee attack. This means that we would need to have it proc over 4.5 times before surpassing the benefit of +18 Intellect.

      but yeah i guess if the spell ratios are different taking the more dmg should be more efficient in the long run (situationally probably depending on the mob's health, overkills etc), if it can save you let's say 1 concecration cast per fight, that's 580(aprox. can't remember exactly) mana there saved.
      I don't know maybe i am just weird but i don't like sitting and drinking like at all while in open world

    All very good information. But if you want to try something different then try something like this. tbcdb.com/talents/index.html?en&paladin&0000000000000000000005320133500001520115515020500130200000000000. Using a big fat 2 Hander you are relying on Parry and Reckoning to deal burst. Taking on 2 or 3 mobs is still recommended to get more procs and the Imp Ret Aura is very noticeable doing about 10% of your damage. Additionally, overall your talents are very suited to tanking with spec changing. The PoJ talents can just as easily go into more crit, I just like the extra ground movement for on foot.

    • @swiftjuice168
      @swiftjuice168 3 года назад

      Putting only 1 point in Improved Holy Shield is not a smart idea when AoE grinding since you're losing out on 10% increased damage, along with 2 extra charges which you will go through easily over the span of 10 seconds when AoE grinding/tanking.
      You've also neglected One Handed Weapon Specialization which reduces the maximum damage you can put out.
      Using a 2H weapon when fighting 1 mob is not efficient when Protection has MUCH more damage capability, even against a single target.
      Your linked talent tree sees the player already at level 70 which means they won't be leveling anymore.
      Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend this spec for anyone looking to level efficiently, tank dungeons or raids.

    • @Kalarandir
      @Kalarandir 3 года назад

      @@swiftjuice168 I put the final 10 points into the Prot tree just to finish it off.
      All of your points are perfectly sound and I would have agreed with at one time. But years of running this spec has shown it to work extremely well for grinding through 1 to 3 mobs at a time using a 2 hander. Where a basic Prot build is very slow. Also, I think 1handed spec is 5% extra damage btw. So the extra 50% Ret aura can make up the difference.
      As for tanking dungeons, it will does just as well as the basic Prot build, let's be honest here, dungeon tanking ain't hard.
      Yes, as a raid tank it is weaker, but only slightly.
      The point here is to show variation. Putting out the Meta Prot build shows a lack of imagination and defeats the point of the exercise.

      @@Kalarandir
      You do realize with the traditional protection build we don't take on 1-3 mobs at a time, right? It's not uncommon for us to round up 12-15 mobs while leveling (60-70) and be able to down them in under 2 minutes. This time will only be improved upon with spell damage gear being carried over from Classic.
      When I mentioned the 10% damage increase, I wasn't referring to the one-handed weapon specialization. You only put 1 point in Improved Holy Shield - you're missing out on 10% damage AND 2 charges. That combined with the 5%, you'd be missing 15% total damage from Holy Shield. So, threat and survivability.
      Improved Ret. Aura is a maximum of 10-13 extra damage. (10 = level 60-65 and 13 = 66-70) One-handed weapon specialization affects EVERY spell/ability/melee attack - combine that with the full 20% increased damage from Holy Shield and it makes Improved Ret. Aura useless. Also also, combine that with spell damage - Holy Shield, Consecrate, etc. scales with it. Ret Aura does not.

      As far as tanking normal dungeons, it doesn't do "just as well" as the "basic prot build" since you're missing mitigation AND threat. You won't be able to tank as well as someone who specs properly. Tanking raids with your spec will get you killed, very quickly. Reckoning is a very dangerous talent for tanking. You've neglected Toughness and Spell Warding. AND you went with IMPROVED BLESSING OF MIGHT? That's an increase of 44 AP at LEVEL 70. Smh. Benediction is the better talent by a country-mile. Without speccing deeper into the Ret. tree, attempting to 'dps' with a 2H weapon is gonna be like using a wet paper towel roll.
      I can admire creativity and uniqueness, but man... this spec is just bad.

    • @Kalarandir
      @Kalarandir 3 года назад

      @@swiftjuice168 When tanking dungeons, a Holy or Ret Paladin can do the job with some specing into Prot. So I really do not see your point here. Threat is not an issue for Paladins in TBC, an extra 5% on top of the insanely high threat a Paladin generates is simply not needed. Does the basic Prot build generate more threat? Yes.
      As for the lack of mitigation, are you seriously talking about toughness and spell warding? If you are then fine, I tanked all TBC in 2007/8 without them, and have been doing so ever since, so I do not think I will need them for Classic TBC. However, PoJ does provide spell defence that a basic Prot build will often be without.
      If however you are referring to IHS, I will concede that point as I did need 2/2 for Kara and will in all likelihood be required again. Does a basic Prot build have more mitigation? Yes.
      This is not about being meta. It is about killing mobs in group sizes you are going to encounter while levelling in the quickest way. PoJ also allows for faster movement between mobs and Imp Ret aura helps get them down faster with a lower cost in mana. Can the basic Prot build round up dozens of mobs and kill them? Yes.
      Can the tweaked build it do everything a basic Prot build can, basically, yes? Can it do very specific things that a basic Prot build can do? Again yes. Is the basic Prot build better at doing these things? Well yes, of course it is. But being better does not mean that that level is actually required and comes at a cost.
      I played Paladins with the basic Prot build because they were a known quantity, but after years of doing the same thing I have altered my build very slightly to improve it in certain aspects. I believe it works and it has worked for the last countless number I have rolled.
      I am not denying how good the basic Prot build is at doing what it is good at. I am just saying that it is so good, it may actually be too good at it allowing some flexibility in the spec.
      It is only by experimenting and trying new things that we move the class forward. Who would have thought that a Paladin would be main tanking in Nax, let alone a Holy Paladin?
