I loved the Democratic convention this year. It was well-organized, inclusive, and full of awesome energy. I loved seeing so many different groups represented and artists sharing their talents. The positive, optimistic atmosphere was a great contrast to the divisive and fear-based tone of the Republican convention. It seemed like the Republicans focused mostly on Trump’s family members, while the Democrats connected with regular people and showed the power of unity. When people support each other, amazing things can happen!
It helps to have well spoken, intelligent people supporting our democracy. I never watched a political event because I thought they were boring but this DNC was very enjoyable.

That was the most amazing speech of hope, harmony and community. What an amazing incredible man who despite his brilliance is so humble and genuine. I for the first time feel there is hope not just for the US but the world. Let's hope the sincerity of Obama's words, his dignified respect for all may help unveil the deceit and lies that the opposing party has engaged in for far too long. The USA either survives and flourishes working together as best as its citizens can or unleashed hatred and vitriol will be the norm. Obama is inspiring in every way. He doesn't pretend things are easy, but he delights in the good and positivity that people can hold in their hearts and minds. He brings harmony and hope. the other alternative is Trump with hate and harm. I so deeply hope Kamala Harris and her amazing team soon take hold of the highest office in the land. Then the healing can begin, and hope be renewed.
