      Is there an esthetic difference between shallow water, maritime, and jade colors or do they all look the same color wise.

    Just bought shallow water sunglasses. First time I used I went on my local lake in sunny day in UK. To be honest I wish my eyes have those lenses permanently. Totally different world. Prizm all the way. I do carp fishing and compering to other sunglasses this was the best choice. Highly recommend!

    Thanks for the video. Would it be possible to use the PRIZM Shallow Water Polarized lens for playing golf as well? Also what about just day driving on a bright sunny day especially in the morning and evening glare? Would these lenses good for that too? It would be great if they could work well in each situation.

    • @sportrxeyewear
      @sportrxeyewear  5 лет назад +1

      Hello Steve! The PRIZM Shallow Water Polarized can work for driving but it is fine-tuned specifically for water conditions. A key benefit of a polarized lens is that it cuts glare which is commonly found reflecting off car bumpers in traffic. A downside to a polarized lens is that it has been known to affect depth perception which is not ideal for golf. You may be better off going with an interchangeable lens option and getting two sets of lenses...If you would like more recommendations on one lens that will meet all of your needs, you can always contact one of our certified opticians here: www.sportrx.com/contact Thanks for reaching out!

      @@sportrxeyewear Thanks for the reply. One thing I noticed in another one of your videos is that some think the golf prizm lenses are quite not dark enough. I am no pro golfer and I have been on the course before with polarized lenses.(maybe thats my problem) It would seem other than that polarized issue with depth perception that the shallow water lens would bring the contrast just like the golf lens with similar colors of green, brown, etc... Is that right?

    • @sportrxeyewear
      @sportrxeyewear  5 лет назад +1

      Hello Steve! It sounds like you are on the right track. PRIZM Golf helps to separate the shades of green to make it easier to spot the fairway, fringe, and rough transitions. PRIZM Shallow Water boosts the green and copper hues in the water to make fish easier to spot. Both lenses are manipulating similar areas of the light spectrum but are fine tuned for each specific activity. There is also a PRIZM Dark Golf available now, too! You can learn more about that here: www.sportrx.com/blog/oakley-prizm-golf-lenses-prescription/

    G’day. How would the shallow water prizm perform in bright and flat light snow conditions. ? Seems like a good option. Thanks Nick.

    • @sportrxeyewear
      @sportrxeyewear  3 года назад

      Hi there! At 15% VLT it can perform in a variety of conditions. I think the one key consideration would be that it is a polarized lens which will cut glare and make spotting ice patches a bit harder since you won't catch the sun glare coming off them as much. But if that is not something you are worried about then I say go for it! Also, you can check out our PRIZM Guide to see how Shallow Water stacks up to the other lens options: www.sportrx.com/blog/oakley-prizm-prescription-lenses/

    Will prizm golf lens be good for shallow fishing?

    • @sportrxeyewear
      @sportrxeyewear  5 месяцев назад

      Good question! The short answer is no, because the Golf lens is not polarized. Polarization is key for any fishing environment to combat surface glare making it easier to see beneath the water surface. The VLT is high for the Golf lens as well, meaning it lets too much light pass through the lens where a darker tint is preferred for most fishing settings. Check out the Prizm Deep Water Polarized, Ruby Polarized, or Tungsten Polarized as top Oakley fishing lenses.

    What is difference between the Prizm Jade Polarized lens AND Prizm Shallow Water Lens?

    • @sportrxeyewear
      @sportrxeyewear  Год назад

      Hi there! The Prizm Jade uses a grey base tint with a VLT (Visible Light Transmission) of 13% making it a great option for bright, sunny conditions. Comparatively, The Shallow Water Iridium uses a Bronze base tint and has a VLT of 21%, which is suited more to medium light exposure. If you plan to do some near shore or freshwater fishing, you would likely want to opt for the Shallow Iridium polarized lens over the Jade.

    Hi, I'm working in the shallow water enviroment, swiftwater rescue. I've got the whole range of Prizm lenses for my skiing but am starting to go to Prizm Oakely for the river part. Am an owner of Flak 2.0 XL with the black prism which is a awesome lens for sunny as hell days. Which range of glass would you recommend for the river as I'll be working in cloudy days also but need so see the enviroment - preferably bottom of the river :) Am thinking Rose or Pink polarized level if I were to reference the skiing lenses?

      Hi there! PRIZM Shallow Water is a great option for you. It will help you see beneath the surface of the water and it is a polarized lens so it will cut glare coming off the top of the water. Another option you can check out is PRIZM Tungsten. This allows a similar amount of light through the lens and is offered in polaried and non-polarized. Check out our PRIZM Guide here: www.sportrx.com/blog/oakley-prizm-prescription-lenses/ and if you want a second opinion you can always reach out to one of our certified opticians here: www.sportrx.com/contact

      @rukkosproperfishing 4 года назад +1

      @@JuanPerez-fy4jm I just received my new prescriptions. My previous lens was polarized jade iridium in gray base. Didn't want same color, so I end up shallow blue iridium HD polarized in split shot frame. Just didn't find color for me from prescription Prizm polarized. Made little background research from HD technology and they are also designed taken consideration of the fisherman's point of view. I was convinced about HD tec. At local optic store they made eye inspection for me and ordered glasses based on those numbers and I choose lens and frame. Glasses arrived like in one week, I was prepared for a month wait so that was positive surprise. HD lens also makes the colors brighter and clearer and lens is sharpening contrast also. Polarized lens helps me to see like twise as far under the surface than without polarization. Like the shallow blue iridium on brown \ bronze base (like I said previous base was gray so didn't want same base either ) . Your eyes will been seen through the lens but I don't mind that. Weren't cheap but I'm satisfied and for now think they were worth purchased.

    Exactly i don t know why on oakley link on the spec is different i have it when i bought the split shot and too much contrast the sun blind my eye the green mirror not really mirror u see most the brown lense and your eye clearly and the green grase look like fake chimical grase and only the brown and red object pop out like crazy but..... No sorry i really don t like the contrast on the shallow water. Revo bleu lense give the best high and calm sepia contrast, boost a little bit color. the green red and brown look so beautiful and a deep blue mirror give a really nice look. Of course in my opinion.
