This offers some great tips and some real clarity too, even for those who've just been tinkering with Essential and perhaps don't understand its scope and flexibility.
Melodyne has no competitors. no matter how hard the others try, no one can come close to the quality and detail of Melodyne. Even at the extreme manipulations it has some natural feeling that no other company can achieve. just wanted to point out the quality you guys have. wish you all health and success.
Has anyone found a way to save a file (*.mpd) in Melodyne then open it and make it playable? For me, in the Studio 5 version, saving a project permanently mutes the track, which becomes grayed. Surely this amazing software lets you save your work for further editing.
Update: Saving a project in Melodyne does not include the audio file edited. So if the original audio file is moved or have its name changed, the *.mpd file becomes unusable. Fortunately, I kept a copy of the original audio and copied it to my project folder. The *.mpd file then became usable again.
example: A vocalist recording using TWO mics at the same time. (same performace recorded on both mics) Is there a way to use Melodyne to correct pitch on two vocal tracks at the same time? -or- copy the Melodyne adjustments made to another track?
You should rather print those 2 tracks into one stem and then edit this new stem with Melodyne. Otherwise unwanted phase cancelation may occur. And I dont know whether buying Melodyne Studio solves your issue.
Just edit one file, keep your project and swap the (time-aligned) audiofile underneath. It will keep the phase in place and all edits will sound as intended for the second file as well.

In our multi-track edition, i.e. Melodyne studio, you can indeed edit multiple tracks simultaneously.
You should rather print those 2 tracks into one stem and then edit this new stem with Melodyne. Otherwise unwanted phase cancelation may occur. And I dont know whether buying Melodyne Studio solves your issue.

Question: can Melodyne essential extract midi out of a monophonic track?
Hey Kevin, Audio-to-MIDI is only available in Melodyne assistant, editor, or studio.
@@celemony : thank you for the information.
how do i move notes without making them longer?
You grab them in the center to move them. If this doesn’t help, feel free to reach out to our support guys: www.celemony.com/support
@@celemony 1. how to make notes not stretch when moving. 2. when i copy note, two notes cut instead, is that a bug?
Again, please contact our support team, they will be happy to help. Thank you!
