I'm from Newfoundland, Canada and I've pulled four quarters of moose across less ice than that, all in one sled and I weigh 260. It's a bit freaky but doable.

It's very thin, but very strong. Dead clear ice is the strongest, an inch and a half will hold a large person if your not stomping around. That's 3-4. They fine......
Man that ice sounds thin asf
2” is enough for the average man, that looks to be 3”-4” which is plenty.
My Grandfather used to work a team of horses on 4” and never had a problem.

Not really
Get off the ice! Nice catch but the ice is really thin.
That's hardly thin ice
We fish on 2 ft ice that is arguably very thin ice. Prob not very deep but still. 😬
@@michaelgibson2163 ive fished on 1 1/2 its fine

Some of the prettiest fish you can catch
Do you want to have sex with the fish sir?
Awesome catch!! nothing beats a little brookie fishing in Maine.
That ice is thin as hell...better you than me. Scary...

That ice looks thin. Should be at least 4in. Stay safe and warm.
@@PRLOutdoors you might want to reread the ice charts. I think the one you’re using was written by a “city slicker”. . . 🤣
2” of good clear black ice like that is plenty thick enough. 4”” would hold a team of horses and the driver.
4 inches is good enough for machinery. Plenty thick for a 200lb person
Clear ice is strong ice
Yeah feel like two and a half inches of ice seems a little sketchy to be on
Awesome shot. Tight lines from auburn maine!!!!
Me tooooo 🤣
Ice seems kinda thin
Is it just me or does that ice look thin af?

🥀🖤💞What a great view I love the seen that u released the fish back💞🖤🥀♥️😍
That ice looks pretty thin.
How thick does the ice need to be to stand on? Freaks me right out!!
Beautiful trout
awesome catch man keep up the good work!
A good man. I say it because he lets the fish to go ❣️
Catch and release , nice catch mate 😉👍👍
When you rotate the auger less than five times, maybe that’s a sign not to be in it. That ice is mega thin.
I love the sound of an auger on ice, also, everyone's right. That's thin ass ice

That is cool! Saw that for sale on LL Bean yesterday and wondered how it worked.

Why did i feel it was a shark 😂😂😂😅
First ice is the best! Love it!😊
This man is crazy you would never catch me on 2 inch ice
Ice looks sketchy AF
3 inches is the lowest you can do. Shoutout Minnesota baby. You can skate and jump on 3 inches. ❤️
That's a nice brook trout!! One of my favorite trout species to eat!🤤
Wow this is really amazing my friend ..
Safe enough thickness of ice, but only maybe 4-5 inches. Satisfying clarity.
Brookies might be the best lookin fish out there
And the tastiest!
Those colors were beautiful.
Beautiful black ice there. If your auger cuts like mine you get 1/3 inch per revolution, tho.
Lol wait the ice is cracking 🤣 😂
Son, need some boot ice cleats.
Too loud on thin ice fishing shallow water
That’s a really nice sized Brookie
That's sick Chris
“The ice is thick enough for who is for” sir Charles berns
Nice catch! I’m in Bangor area… how far north do I have to go to find fish-able ice?
4" of clear ice. Clear ice is the strongest. You could drive an atv out there.
Exactly
Super 😎 chill. Good shit amigo.
That is some nice fresh ice bud I fish all the time I now know right on
Good thing they're close to shore 5 spins in your through the ice be safe boys
Man that ice is thin af brother
Ice fishing when the ice is so clean is boring. Ice skating or ice hockey comes to my mind immediately.
Bro you could’ve just stomped your foot down to make a hole and left the auger on shore😂 awesome video stay safe !
😮I mean I guess you’re close to shore behind you but damn that thin, good catch
super sketchy ice .. brave faackers lol
You released the fish that's awesome

Once there’s more ice you can be a lot more active with snowmobiles and jigging
Brookies fight like the devil too

They won’t find u til spring when the ice melts

You should of bought a Cork skrew for that glass thin ice.... Not a 4 ft auger 😲
That’s some thin ass ice
Did I see a crack in the ice when they was bringing in that brookie ice is thin but great catch on the brookie
What do you use for bait when you're catching brook trout

How did u take video inside water.
Did u place camera the other side?
That's a pretty good size Brooke
Catch and release. Thats what I'm talking about
Schöner Saibling! Petri! 💪🏼🎣
I honestly can’t understand fishing where you don’t eat what you catch. For me, it’s the whole point
Nice to see catch and release in effect
Yep 💯💥
Nice!
Nice brookie...but you wouldn't catch me on that ice. Not a chance.
He only made 6 full rotations of the auger before it punched through. That ice is scary thin.
Only thing scary is how sharp the blade is 😎
