Actually, it's more than just the car accident that caused Yi to change his ways. Really, it's the realization that Diao is fully capable of leaving him and moving to another country where he will never get to see him again, that made Yi realize he needed to change if he wants to keep Diao from leaving him. The car accident is just a byproduct of him realizing that. The car accident is now a good excuse to make Diao lower his defenses, and pretending to have amnesia is a good cover for Yi to keep Diao close and for Yi to feel less awkward as he tries to soften his approach to Diao in order to get him to trust him, etc. again. In this way they are a lot like Kuea and Lian in the beginning of their relationship. This is pretty much the same thing Kuea and Lian had to work through. Diao and Yi both have their walls up and are constantly misunderstanding each other and are on the defensive, the same way Kuea and Lian were in the beginning. The minute Lian realized that Kuea could break off their engagement and leave him, Lian softened his ways and began doing things to get Kuea to want to be with him. Right now, it looks like Yi's precursory attempt to get Diao to change his mind is to try and seduce him into remembering that they love and care about each other. :D Later, I'm sure he will realize that that's not all Diao needs to convince him to stay. They will eventually have to have an honest and open conversation and stop keeping things from each other. I'm just surprised Diao and Yi hadn't realized it sooner and that it's taken them 3 more years since watching Kuea and Lian go through the same thing, for them to realize that the way they were dealing with things in their relationship wasn't working. Just like Lian and Kuea, if only they would just talk to each other and tell each other everything, Diao never would have wanted to move away and Yi might not have been in a car accident. Once again, the conflict in their relationship is their inability to communicate and the fact that they are keeping secrets from each other, which is causing them to jump to conclusions and misunderstand each other.
Last part of the episode was the best. The chemistry between nunewnat and maxzee is so good, they deserve a series of their own. I know dmd is not gonna give us that, but I think these 4 should always act in a series together, where in every series nunew and Nat are besties. Also watched nunew easy on me cover at mint awards, his voice is angelic.
I still can't get over that Aon who is Yi's secretary or bodyguard is older than me by a few months as he is born in 2001. I have never seen him before but I thought he was late 20's but just looked young but he is young. He is ages with NuNew as he is also born in 2001 but I you wouldn't know they are born in the same year. Love the boys and can't wait for their other projects as I am supper excited for them.
