In this video I take on a very old and very battered Land Rover Series 3 (or as most people would call it a classic defender 😬) and this iconic British classic has barely any paint left and the majority of the car is pure rust. Its every Car detailers nightmare. Or is it?

This Land Rover did look better afterwards, a real plus point of detailing a vehicle of this type is that, the possibility of installing any swirls or marring is virtually eliminated, also anything can be improved given the time and effort, great video❤️.

If you want an old series landrover with the original faded paint on then wash of with warm water if give it and oil wash. Clean motor oil on a rag not to much then wipe over with another rag. Brings the colour back out and looks great especially on the old bronze green.
Good job Dave, so it’s no garage queen but still looked much better clean especially good to clean the mud off the chassis and wheel arches. I love Yum Interior, cleans really well and smells fantastic. Definitely my favourite interior cleaner for more expensive cars.

Thanks for the video Dave. No step paint correction, clay bar and ceramic coat on that one eh 🤣.As you rightly pointed out it doesn't matter what vehicle you clean be it a Lada or a Lamborghini. As long as the customer doesn't have unrealistic expectations.

Good advice there at the end. Most people starting off think they are going to be doing high end cars every day when in reality you have to do what's put in front of you. I did a defender last week, had 5 dogs in it shaking mud off themselves everywhere. It was hard work and not exactly pleasant to do the interior and it didnt come up showroom condition but it paid good money. The question we all want answered though is where do you get those skin tight black pants from?

Unless it’s a cherished number I reckon this an early 2A which has had series three wings grill bulkhead chucked on it. At least it’s easier to see what needs welding now.

I do not believe some of the links in this video are of the equipment that you used ie. pressure washer ? In the video it was yellow but in the link it is grey ?
default upload info dude. My main pressure washer is a karcker xpert 7125. the k7 was being used for a review as i test pressure washers for a living. Hope that clears that up
My goodness....so much chemistry for such a rusty car....I would try to work with less chemistry and more with my hands.
Doesnt really matter the client couldnt care less about the car. he said i could do whatever i wanted :)

Good job considering and some very valid points, 8 out 10 vehicles I do are unbelievably bad, i don't mind the hard graft but it's trying to educate people it can't be done in a short amount of time.
Yeah customers really need to understand and I think that's half the battle

This ain't close to being wrecked! They have the pov Africa driving videos with one like this. Thing is completely worn basically metal shell with an engine, but keeps driving. Great vehicles very tough
