I totally agree with what you've said especially the first point. I also figured it out later in time that the more I develop Ne the more my Si gets useful. And also I got adopted by Ne-Doms. -ISFJ 9w8
Definitely, it's that Ne that gives you this refresh of every other function in your stack. Also I guess that's one way of constantly exposing yourself to Ne haha
@@sreenidhireddy7092 All of which you said are a byproduct of being in the present moment, essentially. Se also tends to be tuned to whatever is in front of them at the very second, so the question (challenge) for you in particular is if you can look at what is in front of you without immediately thinking about the past or present :3
As a INFP that has Extraverted intuition in the second slot…. I do feel bad sometimes dragging my sister in conversations or actions that involve Ne. My sister is also an ISFJ. I don’t mean to scare her with my Ne ideas, but it is funny!!!
I think the other thing I add to this. I’m the only person in my family with high Ne. My family usually has high Se (Extraverted sensing) like ESXP and low Ne ISXJ. So whatever small Ne comes out of my mouth just brings shock to them. lol
Im an ENFP. Bro I have no idea what I'd do without my Ne. Problematically though, Si is my lowest, so I have some real trouble yknow... doing anything and being organized. Apparently thats something Si users can do well? idfk lol okokokokokko but this is really interesting. So how your initial life/way of doing things is Si, and then Ne chimes in like "Look at it through another angle you fucking douchecanoe. Why does this have to be done this way? Noothing HAS to be done a certain way." Mine is the exact opposite. My initial existence when solving a problem is: okay, it's probably _intended_ to be thought of/solved/fixed this certain way. But I want to solve it MY OOOOOWN way! Ok so let's think of literally every single possible way to accomplish this thing. Look at it through a bunch of lenses. I'll give an example, figuring out how to turn down an invite (ENFP not wanting to commit to a certain thing, who would have guessed). Ne: "is it best to do this more politely, but less truthful? Or would being direct be better? I want to be both direct and polite, ideally. What about their MBTI type? Would that person value honesty over diplomacy, even if it hurt them a bit? What about their political views, would someone of those views value a different style of communication? Does the way I want to reject this invitation fit how I've acted previously (sneak peak of Si maybe iunno)? Now, how do I take into account all of these factors, and still be authentic to how I want to respond? How do I still make this me (Fi time lol)?" Si: dude what the fuck just pick something and do it, you've been thinking about this shit for literally a half an hour. Ne: butbutbutbutbutbutbut no. I will have the best response to this. Wait, what if I actually want to just... go anyway? Or, what if I don't have ot make an excuse at all and just leave on read? Si: okay what did you do last time this happened? Ne: ... that could be a helpful thing to look at yeah *Ne still deliberates further after thinking of every single possible way to approach the problem, and comes up with a solution that fits with every single lens and view of the issue, while still being authentic to myself* this is my life. Ne-way, I just think it's really interesting hearing what it's like when the two opposing functions I have are fleep flopped primary and ...bad (forget the word rn). I wonder if this sounds familiar as you have a ENFP best friend? Ne way (gottem again) this is enough thoughts for a single comment for most sane people so I'm done bywe
Aw, how interesting! My conversations with my ENFP friend will sometimes have this "tug of war" consisting of the internal conflict you just shared. Seems like we'll both have the "I want to do this MY OWN WAY" kind of mentality, but we'll approach it completely differently in terms of the scope of options. So for me, Si would be just stubbornly fixated on one method, until Ne comes up with a reason for considering this "detour" that turns out to fare better than I thought. Our organizational skills are a mere byproduct of our intense examination of a few things/ideas at a time lol. I feel like if we want a much better understanding of each other, we'd want to look more into the Te-Ti conflict :3
@@mystamystic Te and Ti are functions I really should learn more about. It’s interesting conceptualizing the difference between Ne being influenced by Si VS Si being influenced by Ne. I wonder if my puzzling over a bunch of options to fix one problem is a Ne-Si thing. What do you think of functions mixing together to seem like other functions? Like for example, Ne and Si can seem kind of like puzzling something logically together, going from wide scope to details and back and forth. However, Ti is often associated with puzzling over things (I think?). Another example I’ve heard is Ne and Fi seeming like Fe (basically Ne, but about emotions, therefore Fe.) It’s also interesting how our bottom functions kinda come in to save us. My Si tells my Ne to find a solution and pay attention to the details of things, while your Ne makes you rethink how you’re approaching something.
@@dominoot2652 Yeah it's kind of interesting how sometimes what you consider your "weak" function can and often does serve as a benefactor lol. A thing I've observed about the Ne-Si axis is how, once an Ne-dom does settle on one particular perspective (Si), that Ne-dom will apply its many approaches to fulfill that perspective. As for your interesting question: I think it's fair to say that a combination of functions would look as if it was one other. The manifestation of those functions might look identical in terms of behavior. Although I will say that because of that I would look more into the intent of why those functions are performed. So when we talk about the dynamic between Ne and Si, Ne seems to want a sense of progression, while Si wants a conclusion to a thought process through means of refining ideas in order to refine a perception. And Ti wants the "perfect answer" to a question through constantly comparing ideas taken in from the outside world. And so you can see how they all overlap with each other -- actually, Ne and Si, being the perception functions, need the aid of a judging function (thinking or feeling) to process those that are perceived. Or when we talk about Ne-Fi, the Ne user would fulfill their sense of progression through navigating the world in accordance to their own values. It just looks like Fe, because generally (from my own experience) the Ne-user looks a bit playful while doing so. But when Fe users act in the way that they do, they do so because they value an external emotional stability as a means of feeling better. tldr: cognitive function dynamics are so meta lmao
@@mystamystic it is very meta that's why I don't think I'll never get bored of it, because it's a really cool lens to look at any behavior/interaction through. You can cross reference any observation with it.
Hey there ! It's been a while. So my guess as to why you have a better grasp at Ne than Te other than your Irl experiences is because Te is an unconscious function for you thus you are not really as able to utilize it. Ne is still in your conscious stack even if it's low so you can still use it better. Anyway take care !
Hello Jin, glad to see you're still around. How have you been?? Also, I do agree with your educated guess. Though I will say that Fi, Se, (and even Ni at times) are unconscious functions that I can bring to consciousness without too much difficulty. Te is especially difficult, as examining things without the human element (only pure logic) is sort of foreign to me. Not impossible, though. Take care to you, too~
