  • Welcome back to my channel!
My son has worn through the right knees of quite a few of his pants and I decided to mend them so that they last for the rest of the school year. I think boro/shashiko stitches are simple yet beautiful so I decided to use those stitches for this project. It turned out way better than I expected so I'll be mending the rest of his pants with the remnants of the thrifted t-shirt that I used for this one. I love how it looks like Hulk is busting through the hole in the pants!

I am starting to learn sashiko. I love the idea how the man is bursting out of the jeans, that is art.

This is so adorable, and your thread color choices really showcase the patch. I hope your son liked his pants.

I just discovered sashiko so have watched dozens of videos in the last couple of weeks. You are the first one using the mini plyers. What a great idea in a pinch. And the tee shirt looks amazing as a patch.

I think its cute. I wonder if you had used the sashiko needles and thread, if that would be easier to get through the material? I really think its cute an a good idea. Thank you for sharing ❤

Nice modern twist on an ancient art form. Very tough to sew; a thimble would help. You stuck to it! Great Job! (They have Sashinko thimbles)

Do my stitches need to be perfect to use this way of sewing?
